I heard that the budget for this drama was S+ at 1.3 billion yuans. You invested that kind of money and you did…
My dear, I bet everyone in this comment section might be thinking the same thing I am thinking but I feel that you are watching a different show from this one I swear.
This particular show just rubs so real compared to other WUXIA dramas that I have watched before because the way it makes you realise you can never really know people? How can everyone be a traitor and a spy???
I feel my emotional and psychological stability has been compromised.
I want to take this opportunity to fire at all the people who hated this show. I have just finished it and honestly I will defend this SHOW until the day I die.
First of all I have never really seen something so TRAGIC, i kinda like the ROMEO & JULIET + TITANIC TROPES of SAD ENDINGS. I enjoy watching them but not personally experiencing them and everything about this SHOW felt so flawless at least to me.
To begin with, it wasn't overly rushed, now most of the people busy acting worked up in the Comment section could have reasons like there weren't NC scenes, most of the story was in poor but well written and executed English, the whole sex thing most bl fans are fixed on, we had none of that.
The main couple made out once in that lake but honestly speaking as a non-hookup person that confession and discovery and development of sincere romantic feelings was the realeast to me. The Dynamic was particularly pitch perfect and the fact that TK fell in love with a foreigner who was logically out of his league. I dunno about you guys but this was the best serving.
So someone asked about the last episode. Lemme summarize this.
A semi-rural but educated young man who is passionate is assigned as a substitute guide for a Taiwanese tourist and they spend time together a lot and fall in love in a week until VICTOR the tourist has to return to TAIWAN. We all know he is a photographer BTW.
Eventually He sends an invitation to TK inviting him to TAIWAN but when TK reaches he meets the twin and learns that VICTOR died. He goes into depression and returns to THAILAND but mind you he had rejected his childhood friend NANKRAN who grew up to have feelings for him, turns out even that guy when TK wasn't picking his calls he got worried and while on the phone had an ACCIDENT and died. TK thought he was the cause so he went to that cave and pleaded with some ancestral spirit which rewinded time. He decided to not get close to VICTOR and he acted good to NANKRAN eventually seeing VICTOR with the TWIN BROTHER, he was absent minded and crossing the road to meet them he was hit by a car and died happily eliminated from the equation so that the 3 men who revolved around his tragic story could find happiness.
I put my arms up and surrendered to this traumatising and emotionally breaking show. I loved everything about it moreso the fact that there's never a perfect path in life but you can cherish every moment as if its your last because it might as well be πππ
The lack of kiss scene is because the drama was filmed 4 years ago and the actor of Heesu was younger and Seungwon…
Everyone has the same issue with the show guys especially since what was supposed to be a Gay Romance between the two male leads just came off as platonic. I mean if you watched the chinese shows KILLER & HEALER (2021) and STAY WITH ME (2023) There wasn't a single kiss scene but at least the romance between the leads was felt, it was undeniable to be honest. In HIC2, not having a kiss scene wasn't just the biggest problem but the fact that.
1. The main character was overshadowed by the Support in his own drama.
2. The main couple was overshadowed as well by the support
3. There was no chemistry whatsoever between the Main Couple.
All this was a whole new level of censorship and psychological torture, the thing was an eyesore π¬π¬
extremely upset by the response to this... so much of it feels actively nonsensical for a show that actually cares…
HO MA GARD. From a personal experience I know what being closeted feels like. I know what having feelings for a bestie who is super straight is like. Mind you I am in a country where Being gay can even attract capital punishment. But the problem with this show is that it makes it seem like we just can't move on from that or we can't get to terms with it. It assumes that there is no possible way we can rely on ourselves, have things we like as individual and the purpose of this show was to sorta empower us and whats even worse is that most of us have read the webtoon which does that. But do you know what this show did.
1. They got a straight relationship and pushed it into the limelight dragging the gay relationship in the back.
2. The fact that everything supposed to be romantic about this show came off as seriously platonic is jhus embarrassing. We have watched shows like DEVIL JUDGE, STAY WITH ME 2023, KILLER & HEALER and I can guarantee you all these gave off an entirely more intimate vibe than this show some of which weren't even tagged as BLS.
3. The fact that all characters were practically overly verbal and not practical was just embarrassing. In fact going through what HEESU was going through honestly felt like dying but I couldn't expect much from a character like him that enjoyed pushing others while doing the opposite.
4. We were patient and hopeful but all for nothing. It was just a bunch of teens confessing and what??? Just like that the dumb thing ended after 10 episodes each 40+ minutes long which is an average of two BL web series. The mere fact that it even came after SECRET RELATIONSHIPS which despite its psychologically disturbing plot was a big hit gave us all the reasons to hate them
bro season one caused me so much trauma that im scared of season 2 ππ
I just binged the whole show today despite having exams and honestly I might come tk terms with the fact that despite being very rough, WEAK HERO CLASS is more sentimental and even bromantic than this HEESU IN CLASS trash. Still crying from all the drama and the ending of that show.πππ
Guys. This show has nailed it. There shoukd have been an expansion on the backstories of the newer characters too but can't believe I am in tears πππ
With the look of things these people make it look like all our lives are just spent on nursing heartbreaks and rejections. Honestly it would have been better if HEESU didnβt confess to SEUNGWON cause first of all it was all for nothing. Yes we all are afraid of rejection especially by our straight friends when we confess to them but we do not linger on it. The way this show makes it seem like we weep over it like widows but the reality is that not confessing grows heavier on us rather than naturally and if we can't risk our friendships, we kill the crushes and find love elsewhere. It is not a cat and mouse thing or rocket science like this show makes it seem. sheesh give us a breakπ€π€π€π€
At this rate instead of wasting all those hours on this shit of a BL show just watch Weak Hero Class Season 2. Thanks to that show the trauma I experienced 4 hours ago has been lifted
I feel my emotional and psychological stability has been compromised.
We sure are devoted.
Reading books, we have done a great job on this comment section.
