i'm loving the friendship between Lee Dam and Jae Jin - we don't often get to see these kind of platonic relationships in romance dramas (or when we do, one end up falling for the other) and especially where they confide and rely on each other so freely.

I don't think so...? could be wrong but i got the impression Joo Ik was Hyun Gyu's tutor in high school and they became friends. they def don't have the same dad and as we've seen no indication they have the same mum I'd assume HG calls JI hyung because they are close

Hmmm maybe smoking is easy shorthand for "bad guys" (mafia, gumiho, literal personification of doom) but they don't get to light them because they're the perfect, dreamy ML :)

I wonder if its the trend these days as you say or if we are getting more "bad guy" (anti-hero?) MLs than before?
