I agree with everything you wrote. Although I haven't watched Untamed (yet), I will confess to having seen more than a few FMV on YouTube and it does look like they build a nice rapport between the two. Honestly, skinship doesn't even necessarily = sexiness or romantic tension. The sexiest, most convincing moments of Simon and Daphne's attraction to each other in the Bridgertons (show, not books) was when he lets his hand touch the top of her back while they are dancing and her dream where he removes her glove. That show is filled with sex and naked people, but the most convincing moments had them barely touching and fully dressed (FYI, the books are a lot more fun).
i really dont get the hype why you guys dont like 2gether and why it has low ratings like its actually really…
While I agree that there doesn't need to be a bunch of skinship, there should be some romantic tension that convinces me that they are dating and not just friends. If they want to date they should be attracted to one another. They can just enjoy each other's company as friends. So if this is BL, then I need to see that they are attracted to one another. It just felt too platonic for me. I did enjoy the thoughtfulness of the voiceovers and the overt commentary on relationships and how people connect.
Dropped after 1hour.How can the same director make a movie with some of the most beautiful shots I've ever seen…
"If you have to read the source material to understand your movie then the problem is probably you." That pretty much sums up all my issues with the movie right there.
I'd like a remake of this show. I REALLY like the plot, it was just Terribly executed. If they could make this…
I really expected: 1) Nee to try to take over Gan's life WAY earlier. 2) Nee or Wisan to (try to) sell Gan to Vit. 3) Vit to want Gan because that way he'd have had both twins. 4) Rut's boyfriend to show up again at the end and clear up that misunderstanding. 5) Thit to learn that Gan agreed to marry him because Rut was threatening suicide.

Rant-y or frustrating stuff:
They forgot Rut's love life altogether after it was no longer needed for Thit to misunderstand Gan and Gan to agree to the marriage because Rut threatens suicide. I guess he blows her off during a biz deal once...
The final episode had more time with Thit snuggling (a dying) Nee and reminiscing about their sexy times together than he spent with Gan. I'm just saying that doesn't do anything to strengthen the feeling that he loves Gan more.
And just how long did Thit know Nee? Because I kinda got the impression she was like on vacation or something? And was Thit Nee's first and she actually had some feelings for him or was he just one of an already long string of lovers?
People were weirdly understanding about Nee being an evil murderer. I mean, three kills and at least one attempt. But, she WAS the poor daughter of a school principal, with parents who loved, housed, fed, and clothed her, and had access to at least basic education, so, it's totally understandable that she'd be a lying, killing, manipulative adult. OBVIOUSLY.
They really couldn't keep their classes straight. Gan wasn't even part of the upper class. Her dad just worked for the upper class and had close connections to some well-to-do families. She was upper middle class, but not anywhere near upper class. Nee kept claiming to be poor and living in the slums, but her parents seemed to own their own home, they had enough jewelry that she knew she could steal from them, and her father was a school principal. So while Gan had the better social class, Nee was hardly poverty stricken.
Nee was just a big hole of greed for no other reason than her own personality. She was never going to be happy. She could be married to Thit, the family could adore her, she could have all the money she could spend and she still would have been unhappy and 'punished' anyone she thought even looked at her funny. Yet, everyone wanted to blame themselves for how she turned out. Only Grandma finished the show believing Nee was responsible for her own deeds, "She was bad and had bad things happen to her because of that, but she's gone now so there is no reason why I can't forgive her and forget her. Hope she has a better life next time."
Why does everybody hate this drama? It's one of my favourites. So many cute moments & some of his expressions…
I do agree that she did a great job playing both roles! I'd watch just about all the cast in another show.
I didn't hate the show, but it was deeply flawed and the writing was sloppy. If you don't mind plot holes you can fall through, it's fine. It's just like the writers forgot what they wrote in previous episodes and only needed the scene to make sense in isolation.
I love this drama, up until they divorced, and the director butchered the show. They had the perfect cast, and…
I LOVED that they divorced (since I thought that was the only way Gan could ever be happy being married to him - when he knowingly chooses to marry Gan and not her imposter), but, yeah, post-divorce the show decided to cram in every last 'twist' they could and the body count rose steeply. When Gan got amnesia in the second to last episode, I was like - wait, aren't we close to the end? Do we have time for this? The only thing they missed doing was Nee or San selling Gan to Vit to pay off his debt. I really expected that. Or Vit killing Nee out of rage that she killed his BFF San (Vit and San had a weird relationship).
I'd like a remake of this show. I REALLY like the plot, it was just Terribly executed. If they could make this again, but you know, good, I'd be there to watch it.
Serious question guys, in which episode does he know that she has a twin? This will actually determine if I'm…
According to the last couple of minutes of the series, he knew after they had sex at Hua Hin... which makes NO sense at all given his behavior and what he says in most of the show.
I don't understand why ek won't leave suam alone ? !
1. She's like his comfort object 2. Being with her is a show of defiance 3. He legitimately worries about her
He actually only asks her to be his mistress the one time I think, although he might also ask if she won't reconsider in a later episode. He's not that into her (sexually), I think it's just the only relationship he could think of to justify taking care of her.
If Suam said no, and Da was not a pscyhopath, they would have all been somewhere on the friendly to neutral spectrum, because Da would know Suam as the Aek's family's charity case and maybe his childhood crush. Once she spent time with them it would be obvious he wasn't into her that way. But Da WAS psycho so things got Crazy.
When are these "adorable scenes" between the leads? I am on episode 3 and so far I feel the male lead has the…
They actually DO give a convincing reason for the mom's behavior, but it is late in the show when her backstory is completely revealed. They did a slow tease on revealing information about her past. I was wondering what situation they could possibly come up with that would justify her mom's behavior and was surprised they had something that worked.
I really disliked that the FL was shown as a clever wordly woman BUT she can not recognize a guy trying to pick…
Yes, she should have realized. Even though I think she was supposed to have been spaced out and not really paying attention and her confusion was based on her just 'coming out of it'. It was still kinda dumb.
I have just started episode 1, and all the inter-personal relationships are vague. Thai dramas are often vague…
Aek is pursuing Suam, however, they have never been together romantically or sexually. When asked to become his mistress, the FL agreed to Aek's in a manner she knew he would not take her up on (although given her sense of obligation to him, she would have gone through with it if he hadn't given up - obligation is the basic theme of the show).
Aek had a teenage crush on her when they were younger and she lived with his family, but as adults she's more of a comfort object than a love interest. And like a treasured soothing toy, he doesn't want to share it with others. He also feels good taking care of her, feels bad that his family rejected her because of him (they were afraid they would get involved together), and wants to make sure she is taken care of even after he gets married. Also, since everyone is trying to keep him away from her, going to see her is a show of defiance. Until the last episode, he's just too dumb of a manchild to figure out what their relationship is really about and to discuss it with the people in his life.
I like that the deceit didnt last very long because damn ML was super smart and fast to spot the difference between…
He'd have to have been brain-dead to miss the differences between the two women once he started spending time with her. If they'd had it take too long for him to catch on, I'd have had to drop it fast. So I'm happy they didn't draw it out too long.
IDK how the villians thought they would pull it off long term. Granted, they didn't know the FL'd personality, so they couldn't know the extent to which they would be different, but few people would match Lookaew's bold selfishness (I mean, her reaction to being caught cheating --wow). And I guess, Dee has reasons to think it would be super easy (barely an inconvenience!) to pretend to be another person for years, so there is that, lol.
From the description, I really kind of expected a period of indoctrination where they trained Dada on how to be Lookaew after convincing her that she HAD to secure her marriage to Ratt and to do that she HAD to be her 'old' self again. That would have been pretty awesome, watching her choke down food she hated or act in ways that went against her nature, etc while trying to please Ratt and her 'mom'. Because she'd be a good little amnesiac trying to please everyone.
LOL. Agree the ending could have been more. They tied up all the loose ends, but I kinda would have liked the wedding or a glimpse at post-married life. Although, totally cute what they did with the dad. Hope he gets himself a girlfriend:)
So much potential, but it was ultimately just kind of blah. Was hoping for Secret, Hotel King, or Kluen Cheewit levels of makjang-roller-coastering through tears of anger and angst. Someone needs to remake this but with some actual tension (romantic and suspense).
For how incredibly horrific as some of the choices and actions were the 'good guys' were all pretty blasé about it all. How can I be horrified about all the things that happened to Dada when she doesn't care that much? There were huge chunks of her story that she never seemed to share with anyone or that she shared at really weird times, when it seems like the kind of thing you would share ASAP.
Even the timing for 'reveals' was pretty lame. There would be a big dramatic pause, and as an audience member I'm thinking - who is this pause for? Because we have already seen what happened, we know the truth. You are just telling other characters in the show and they aren't even going to have much of a reaction beyond concerned eyes, so why waste 20 seconds and a musical crescendo here?
IDK. I didn't hate it as a palate cleanser for the more serious shows I'd been watching, but it was underwhelming.
hiii! im a month late but yesss, the cases do gets solved & YEPP, it’s funny, frl! their humor is on point.
Kill It. If you also like cdrama: My Roommate is a Detective, How a Snail Falls in Love, Love Me if You Dare (last two have romance, but it's secondary to crime solving).
