I wanted to get into it, I really did but the subs are bad and the female lead is so damn annoying that I just…
Me too. I have tried it three times now cuz everyone keeps saying I will love in since I loved Love Me if You Dare and When a Snail falls in love. But to me the shows don't feel the same at all. This one had too much over the top and slapstick type elements to it for my tastes.
While watching this drama I realised one thing. The men in it are to blame for what happened to everyone. Why…
So the guys def wronged their wives, but the wives didn't attack their husbands. They killed the women and kids. If they had attacked their men, we wouldn't have had this show. And it wasn't just married men. Oi had consensual sex with Ae, who was an unmarried man. I guess you could say that was still a man's fault since he had sex with her, but I'm still going with undiagnosed mental illness in Sida's bloodline. Because they felt justified in hurting and killing anyone who made them unhappy. I mean, there was no reason as a legit business woman that Sida needed to have killers on standby if she wasn't using them for things already, even before Sila came onto the scene. Also, pretty sure that is why Sida liked Kwan so much - recognized the same type of crazy.
I know most lakorns are like soap opera and in general over dramatic, but this one was wild! A man on a revenge…
You know what would have made the last half more interesting rather than just feeling repetitive? Acknowledging the obvious mental instability in Sida's family. I mean, between her, her sister, and her son, it seemed obvious they were all unhinged in the same way. They were completely irrational. The only reason they weren't all locked up years ago was because they had money. They needed treatment more than forgiveness.
I absolutely love this drama, but like most dramas I feel for the LF why do I feel for them... Hmm well he goes…
I get why they were living in the little house, cuz nostalgia and all for them. Probably what they dreamed of as children and all. But what I didn't get is why after he hosed her off because she was snuggled up to Ae, she didn't hose him off for actually having sex with her sister. I'd be like, "boi, I was trying to let this go, but you gonna make a big deal about this, it's your turn --get in dis tub. You need this more than me." Although she was super stupid about meeting Ae. Like really stupid. So scold her sure, but don't be 'washing her clean' if she doesn't ask for it.
I really do enjoy this show but the plot is really weak. The villains skipped from plothole to plothole and the…
I would agree. I really felt it could have been half the length and been a stronger show. Especially since it sloooooowed way down in the second half. Every action took like 3 minutes to complete and everyone got super stupid about safety. Gangsters don't even know how to gangster.
i dont believe XX behaviour is healthy, i mean, her behavoiur towards Jiang chen... and he's most of the time…
Thanks. I was wondering if I should try watching this or not. It sounded cute, but then I saw someone mention Itazura na Kiss, and I couldn't get very far into that one or the Korean versions because of exactly what you are saying. So I guess I'll be passing on this one.
IMO most viewers didn't understand the primary story - it was about two friends who followed each other through…
Actually, the way you described it is what it SHOULD have been, but in terms of editing, it was framed as a romance about who is the husband That is why most people 'didn't get it' as the primary story - because it was a secondary plot (along with the trio of celestial idiots).
That was actually my biggest disappointment while watching the show. Because it could have been SO awesome if the friendship across ages plot had been central; what it means to be connected and how we inform each other's lives, with the fairy love plot being secondary and acting as a catalyst for the main plot. But...sadly the show didn't actually spend as much time doing that as it did the misleading romance plot.
I feel it is one of those shows that makes you do a lot of the heavy lifting to make it great, meaning, you have to self-edit your experience of it and shoehorn it into greatness. It's like when I re-read when of my favorite novels recently and realized that the author had left out a whole lot of what I'd put in, lol.
I'm glad your experience of it was awesome and hopefully more people find your comment and can use it to improve their viewing.
6.9? I find this somehow ridiculous. I know many people here are this is not their cup of tea, but come on, 6.9?…
I would have liked it more if it was re-framed as a character piece rather than as a romance, because I feel like there was so much to explore in the characters that would have made the conflict richer. Instead, the characters were left pretty one-note with the mystery coming from confusing editing choices rather than something more substantial. Which is really a shame considering how many great actors they had in this show. More clarity earlier on (by at least episode 10 or so) would have let them focus more on adding nuance to the characters, past(s) and present, and seeing how (if at all) they had changed or grown.
