Qi Min sacrificed himself to save her, and then died in prison in her hands kind of 😭 So he shackled her to him so that she stops running away. During the emperor and empress “welcoming” ceremony ish, a fight broke out. He was still being his villin safe when it comes to everyone else. But While dodging an arrow that was coming to her direction, he fell over the walls from the big height while simulataneosly being shot with another arrow. Along with him, because their hands were shackled together, QianQian fell over the wall too but our main girl Chang Yu grabbed her. Qi Min still hesitated to let go but Changyu kept screaming that she will die. QianQian already gave up, ready to die for everyone’s sake, saying “He will never learn to let go”. Qi Min shed his tears, said “for you Im willing to learn” and he in fact, let go. He pressed his hand, probably breaking a bone or sth, to free his hand from the handcuff, and fell down. He was still alive though, but imprisoned later. After a few days, QianQian brought him soup she cooked herself that I think she promised to make. But it was poisoned, as they both knew. He asked her to feed him with her own hands, which she did, but with shky hands. He gulped them down willingly, like he once said “even if you poison me, I will gladly have it” 😭 He then breathes his last moments in her lap. IM SO SAD PLS

I haven’t read the novel, but did go through some extra chapters for the spice haha. From what others are saying, Seems like this is one of those dramas where they really made a better version out of a novel. I hope novel version him did some real groveling after he pulled off the divorce stunt though? That would definitely leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Did she make sure he had to earn her back with some real efforts? Also from what I am seeing, they did tone his crazy down quite a lot, not in a bad away lol. I saw what he was like when jealousy possessed him and I was like, my dude, I appreciate the spice but, communication too maybe you know? 😆 Drama him comparatively seems so much sobered

Omg I went to read the extra chapters after you guys mentioned these. Man was actually crazy in head 😭 The no communication jealousy and all night “interrogation”? And repeat AGAIN that night when she returned from the palace, her waking up in the middle of night to uhm himm!?? I think the drama REALLY toned the crazy down haha

What’s with the divorce thing going on man

I have not completed the drama or anything but I have been keeping up obsessively. And I will 100% agree with you on the scriptwriting part. From everything I have read and heard, they changed things for what could have been a perfect drama. I don’t understand why they would bother to do that. And lots of people seems to dislike the directing too. So I’m upset that the had to alter and ruin things!

And I agree that the other part of cold shoulder ish is more like a bad script writing. Writers and directors did change and consequently mess up some parts from what it seems. Sad because this had so much more potential! Just one very last question! IF YOU ARE NOT ANNOYED ALREADY IM SORRY! How did he come about to move from the “strangers” to “you’re back to being my woman” phase, after the 1 year seperation. Was he just hiding his crazy all these while or, just in the randomest scene he became shameless & claiming his stake again? Neither are beneath him I feel 😆 but which was it. AND THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

I am no way near finishing the drama but I wanted other viewers’ opinion on MQY & CZ dynamic. Like I know he is the kind that would burn the world for her and I am all in for my obsessed to infinity MLs, but I can’t help be conflicted and (disappointed)? Because it seems like he has been scheming and using her for the longest part, and given his “burn the world for you” kinda nature I had expected the scheming to end earlier. I am not sure if there was any grovelling in his part, none that I am aware of. Rather he seemed to be doing uncharacteristic things such as asking her name to not be mentioned after she left, and acting like almost strangers upon meeting after the separation. Given the betrayal he caused her, that was kinda off putting to me. Like at least on his part, leaving aside FL’s indecisiveness or whatever, there should have been a different response or groveling during this part? Because it WAS wrong on his part, and hurtful. I expected MQY’s character to show some dark remorse or something watching the love of his life cry. And a review mentioned that even the bethrothal gift thingy was also not real? Like bruh! I am frustrated at this point 😭 I was really very excited for this drama to end so I can binge-watch and came with HIGHHHHH expectations. MQY seemed like the ML I would totally fall in love with and obsessed over. The antihero I would willingly lose nights of sleep over. But over the latter episodes disappointment took over the initial joy cause I wanted more genuineness? I know we have a massive fan base for the ML now but pls don’t come at me 😭 Not here to throw shade at the plot or anything. Just that this was a drama and ML I was HIGHLY HIGHLYYYY looking forward to obsess over, so feeling any sort of scheming and betrayal to the almost last moments had been taking away from the “AHH, here’s my drama” moment. Especially since it wasn’t exactly like that in the novel! Again, I have just started so whoever has completed the drama and knows those parts in more depth, feel free to share your opinion! Or correct me if I am taking some parts incorrectly. I would be thankful if you help me see past the red flag or justify his actions coz we be color blinds for obsessive MLs lol.
