Wow such a carefully and well-written review! I am no way near finishing the drama but I wanted your opinion on MQY & CZ dynamic. Like I know he is the kind that would burn the world for her and I am all in for my obsessed to infinity MLs, but I can’t help be conflicted and (disappointed)? Because it seems like he has been scheming and using her for the longest part, and given his “burn the world for you” kinda nature I had expected the scheming to end earlier. I am not sure if there was any grovelling in his part, none that I am aware of. Rather he seemed to be doing uncharacteristic things such as asking her name to not be mentioned after she left, and acting like almost strangers upon meeting after the separation. Given the betrayal he caused her, that was kind off putting to me. And a review mentioned that even the bethrothal gift thingy was also not real? Like bruh! I am frustrated at this point 😭 I was really very excited for this drama to end so I can binge-watch and came with HIGHHHHH expectations. MQY seemed like the ML I would totally fall in love with and obsessed over. But over the latter episodes disappointment took over cause I wanted more genuineness? I know we have a massive fam base for the ML now but pls don’t come at me 😭 Again, I have just started so whoever has completed the drama and knows those parts in more depth, feel free to share your opinion! I would be thankful if you help me see past the red flag or justify his actions coz we be color blinds for obsessive MLs lol. Really really badly wanted to watch AND like it

I feel so bad for the cp already, and poor FL must have been heartbroken that time 😔 I am guessing the ML turns his life around for good while they are apart? Once FL returns, does the ML push her away again at any point or is it a steady progression of them bonding gain? I hope he gets firm and for some serious groveling!

THANK YOU AGAIN. This saves me from the anxiety haha. I have seen that in way too many cdramas, there’s a noble idiocy trope in the end where ML pushes FL away, says hurtful things and pretends to not care for “her own good”. And it’s so frustrating! So it’s a refreshing change when the MLs don’t do that, and relentless pursues the FL indeed. I’m all in for an absolutely obsessive, lovestruck ML. Loveeee my obsessive MLs and hope to see more of them in cdramas where they don’t push FL away. Looking forward to watch this drama once it ends and I hope it will not disappoint us or be different from the novel. I will probably wait till it finishes airing because I can’t torture myself waiting for every episode 😆 I am really tempted to watch this, especially for the ML. It’s just that 38 episodes are too long and I am worried for any heartbreaking tropes or breakups 😭 I hope it doesn’t get stressful later on. Usually these dramas can really spike your blood pressure towards the end lol

I just want genuineness 😭As of now, with only 8 eps out, I am guessing its too early for ML to have fallen in love already and he is still in his motive-driven phase towards her. Is the ML-FL dynamic mostly based on his schemes until his realization, or is he just a simp for her for the most part? I have seen clips of him being jealous & clingy, but can’t tell if he really likes her already or doesn’t know it yet. How early or late does the FL learn of his motive behind approaching her?
