Thank you soo much for replying! Does this result in a later heartbreak or breakup arc once FL gets to know of his motives? As of now, with only 8 eps out, I am guessing its too early for ML to have fallen in love already and he is still in his motive-driven phase towards her. Is the ML-FL dynamic mostly based on his schemes until his realization, or is he just a simp for her for the most part?

To anyone who read the novel, I have a few questions about the ML please!

I am assuming we will see different personalities/aura from the ML, one with vengeance and darkness. From the beginning, Does the ML approach FL to use her in any way or is he actually obsessed with her and a love brain? All over my feed I see everyones loving his obsession with the FL, but I don’t want to be disappointed in the future if all these were a scheme. Really do hope this is a good one without annoying tropes, very tempted to watch but I am gonna wait 😭

I wish there was a MDL page or list of all the Iqiyi vertical dramas with plot and cast name. That way we would know which are already available there. Iqiyi is like you will come across good dramas if you get lucky and you go in watch it blind haha

ugh hate how all of these dramas HAVE to include these green tea women after ML, kind of leaves a bitter taste even if the plot is otherwise good

ahh I hope so! Definitely want her to leave him asap, cheated or not. But the op was referring to the main leads so I’m holding my breath 😭 Not even questioning it since it’s kind of given every cdrama main leads go through that arc, very frustratingly

Okay seeing everyone’s love for this drama I am veryy tempted to watch it as well. But I will be kind to myself and wait till the drama is over lol. I saw clips of *SPOILER* the rejected kiss and felt so bad for the FL! Seems like good days are coming ahead and I am glad, BUT I am also very anxious about any breakup arcs since kinda all cdramas have a breakup or heartbreaking arc in the third act. And I read someone talking about a the cp breakup in coming episodes and I am heartbroken already! ML better not push away the FL again

Could you perhaps tell me what happens in ep 15-19 during the “braincells lost” phase? I am someone who has a really hard time committing to a drama if I know of some disappointing tropes 😭 Pls also spoil me if there’s an ex lover or someone who returns, or a 2nd FL or noble idiocy involved in the drama!

hahahahah yeah definitely getting hot and heavy with wodowed SIL wouldn’t have been the greatest idea. I think) and I was so badly hoping for like passionate intense kisses. He has those eyes of a yearning, sad, hopelessly in love puppy and I loved him in that role! His only focus was FL from beginning to end and he was NOT letting go. Had a good chasing watch! Readings your comment made me wanna watch his dramas where he goes all in with the kisses haha. Was checking his drama list and wondering what should I watch next. Do you have any recommendations which doesn’t involve heavy harem or green tea dramas? Even different ML or modern drama recommendations are welcome!
