I've been wondering that too. There are other dramas out there without the comedy tag that have far more comedic…
I'm not upset, I just think it's likely to be misleading for people who haven't watched the drama. It's kind of like listing a drama as a music drama simply because it has a soundtrack ๐

One thing I will quickly say is that it was never the diety's intent for them to not remember each other - she even went out of her way to make sure they did remember each other. She is, after all, trying to grow a plant :)

I'm actually writing a realllllllly long (and probably quite boring, haha) reply to the comment you posted earlier. I may not be able to post it right away, but I will when I can, and I will also try to answer some of these other questions in that reply :)
The fact that only few people understand the contrat in the right way makes me laugh, but at a same time, I find…
The fact that only a few of us in this comment section understood the contract kind of shocks me because I thought everything regarding it was pretty clearly explained. What makes me sad is that without understanding the contract, a lot of people have missed out on what I think is a great story because just about everything that happens between our leads only makes sense because of what's in the contract.
The more I think about it, the more I see how poorly written the show is. Why was Dong Kyung even scared of someone…
Well, at the start, MM was so set on bringing doom upon the world so he could end his existence that he continually harassed TDK to break her down and then used her own weaknesses against her to coerce her into accepting the contract. Just before she collapses crossing the street and almost gets hit by the truck, we in the audience are given her narration saying: "I do not fear what I don't see. Even death, even doom. The minute I see them, fear becomes real." She then collapses from pain in the path of an oncoming truck which doom stops just before it hits her, forcing her, out of desperation, into a "deal with the devil" situation - which she still only accepts reluctantly. Don't forget, MM can still hear her thoughts at that point and use that to his advantage. The writing makes it pretty clear that she only accepted the contract because, with her death quite literally staring her in the face, she was terrified. As we all know, desperation makes people do stupid things. It's easy as a viewer to see how stupid it is for her to accept the contract, but it's just as easy to see why she did accept the contract at that moment if you look at it from her character's point of view.
About not being able to remove the tumor from her brain, you do raise a good point. We are really only left with inferences regarding that. It appears from other things - although it is never made clear - that MM cannot do anything to change her destiny that falls outside the terms of the contract. This is definitely something that requires more clarity from a storytelling viewpoint.
As far as "rewarding" her for breaking the contract, that was actually added as a threat by MM to get her to wish doom upon the world, albeit a fairly ineffective one as she still couldn't bring herself to kill everyone even if the consequence of that was living on with the pain of knowing the person she loved most died because of her. For us as viewers, the weight of that threat relies on the writer's assumption that most of us would view the thought of living on after killing someone we love as being the more unbearable of two bad options, and I believe the writer is correct in that assumption.
Kevin from Canada. I know... I was shocked too ๐(It hasn't really happened yet, although it's certainly leaning…
That's the reason I wouldn't bet on it. It wouldn't be a proper love triangle if it didn't keep us guessing and throw out false clues until the last possible moment ;)
Iโm really interested in this drama but Iโm worried about the female leads past with her ex. People keep alluding…
There is one scene with CCTV footage of her being beaten in an alley that I found difficult to watch, but that's toward the end of the series and important to what follows in the story. Overall, it the drama deals with the whole thing in a sensitive manner and nothing is glorified or placed in the story simply to be sensational.
Ok this is a tiny TINY little bug bear about this show but I also find it hilarious tooโฆWHY ARE THEY SPEAKING…
Yeah, every scene with him plays out like some experimental theatre piece - he might as well be quacking like a duck for all he adds to things. The scene between him and TDK looking out over the beach at night was pure comedy gold. (I obviously find it hilarious too ๐)

You might be disappointed then. But, who knows what will happen in the next two episodes... It's really leaning towards Joo Ik right now, but I've seen enough dramas to not bet completely on either one right now. (I'm in the camp where I think she should tell them both to go far away and never bother her again, but I'm pretty positive I'll be disappointed ๐)
So what is that world of doom exactly ? A place where things that disappear go ?And did they talk about it before…
It's not real. It's what the world would be like if TDK followed through on wishing doom upon the world. She used her personal wish to see what it would be like and MM showed her, and I imagine he did it in a similar way to how he controls the environments in her dreams.
Can someone tell me who Na Ji ana ends up with, or has it not happened yet

Can someone explain episode 12 to me I donโt know whatโs happened but there like strangers to eachother again?
God offered TDK a way out of the contract at the end of episode 11 by saying she could erase TDK and MM from each other's memories - doing so would cause the contract to be forgotten and make it so that only TDK would die instead of the person she loved most or the entire world, as was stipulated by the contract. Episode 12 immediately starts off with TDK and MM having no memory of each other because TDK has accepted god's offer.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Regarding the dates disappearing from the calendar - I didn't notice any information given as to why some things disappeared (the calendar dates; TDK's notebook entries) and some things remained (contact info in the phone; photos - but apparently only in MM's phone). I haven't found many unexplained plot holes in this drama, but this appears to be one of them. Leaving it up to the viewers to ascribe the seemingly arbitrary nature of what was erased and what wasn't to being "god's will" does seem a little sloppy to me.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Oh yeah, definitely - she even said she was sticking around to see that in this last episode. And no doubt she's been constantly testing their feelings and resolve. It's just that sending her to the roof seemed a little more overt than anything else she had going with testing if they'd find each other without their memories - sort of like a teacher giving an answer that determines the difference between a passing or failing grade to a student taking an exam.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Yeah, she obviously left enough for them to grasp onto if they mattered enough to each other. The only thing that did kind of bother me about that was suggesting to TDK that she go up to the roof - that seemed to overstep the rules god had made for herself regarding Operation Memory Wipe.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Still not a reset ;) And I didn't view it as pointless in the story, either from TDK's point of view or from god's little plan to release MM from his misery and self-pity.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Actually, because both parties that entered into the contract forgot about, it did indeed become non-binding. That was the exact reason why TDK had god wipe their memories - with the contract forgotten by both parties, TDK would have been able to die instead of anyone else.
