Title Doom at Your Service Spoiler
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
The "reset" wasn't actually a reset - it just wiped all their memories of each other and, along with that, the contract was forgotten by both parties and became non-binding. When they both remembered, the contract became binding again. MM would have wanted it to be binding because he wanted TDK to live, and that was the way for him to accomplish that.

Nope, that part of the contract was explained in episode 1 or 2 :) If she didn't live up to her part of the bargain, the one she loved most at the time she was supposed to die would die instead of her. And she couldn't wish to live if no one else died in her place - that would have subverted the terms of the contract, so it wasn't allowed by MM.

And yes, it's likely he could have broken the contract at any time, but doing so would have ensured a painful death for TDK. He started off not wanting to break the contract because he also wished doom upon the world and then continued with it because he had fallen in love with her she would have died without the terms of the contract intact.

It makes sense from a story-telling viewpoint that if they both regain their memories the contract would return to a binding state with that.

Maybe I somehow missed it, but when did the contract get canceled? I thought only time he voided it was after he accepted he was going to die in her place, just before he disappeared in the last episode. She was still able to make her one wish for herself in this episode, which was part of the contract.

is a good Drama and all, but why the " Comedy" tag ?
I've been wondering that too. There are other dramas out there without the comedy tag that have far more comedic moments than this.

That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most will die and everyone else (including herself) will live. That's why all of her decisions have been so difficult for her throughout the entire drama.

Unpopular opinion: I guess everyone did like ep 13, I didn't to the extent I liked the rest of the 12 episodes.…
Not an entirely unpopular opinion - there are a few of us in this comment section (myself included) who were pretty stupefied by the clichéfest that was episode 13, especially after how well-crafted 1-12 were.

Agreed! I still love this drama overall. I think if the episode had been twice as long or if there had been a 14th episode a lot of those pitfalls could have been avoided. Looking at it again, it seems like the whole separation at the end existed solely to provide an excuse for having the narration to wrap up the side stories, haha

Have you noticed how so many people describe this show as a "gem?" I have to restrain myself from writing a review…
Agreed! Although I thought the final episode was a little rough writing and directing-wise, the previous 12 episodes definitely shine bright enough for me to feel incredibly satisfied by the drama overall. Cheers to everyone involved for what I also consider to be a gem of a drama!

In a drama that so skillfully avoided clichés for 12 episodes, I'm amazed at how overstuffed the final episode was with them. Noble sacrifice by the FL (not once but twice!); FL being kidnapped; ML chasing down FL on foot after she moves out; time skip; narrated summation for side story wrap-ups; the overused "lead couple separation" (totally unexplained in the story) and joyful reunion at the end that superfluously serves as a final emotional injection into the story (and, for me, has always seemed more distracting and annoying than enriching, either emotionally or story-wise). I'm sure I missed some things, but that's a decent account. Fortunately, our leads still brought their A game to their scenes together (as brief as they were) and I think that saved a lot of this episode, but I'll admit I was expecting more than what this final installment gave me, especially after the brilliance of episode 12. However, the series has been quite excellent overall and I'm still looking forward to seeing what this writer does for a second project as the named writer of a drama.

+ give me reasons why this deserves to be watched, heard it’s abit all over the place and confusing
I agree with _thegreenmatcha about watching the first 4 episodes and seeing if it's for you or not. I also don't think it's confusing - everything has been pretty clearly laid out and, if you're paying attention, chances are good you'll be fine with understanding what's happening.

Things to know:
1) There's no antagonist in the main story. Because of that, the usual tension we expect in dramas doesn't exist - there is no villain for our leads to team up against and there is no bad guy trying to separate our leads for whatever reason. For many people, this will likely make the drama seem flat because there's no real external conflict to act as a linchpin for the story. The conflict here is internal, with both of our leads trying to make the best decisions they can when facing no good options.
2) There are no "hit over the head with a sledgehammer" dramatic moments. Partially because of the aforementioned point and partially because of the storytelling style, this drama does not have a lot of the dazzling dramatic elements usually found in dramas that keep people engaged with the story. It's more meditative than most dramas, especially dramas these days, which are full of spectacle to keep viewers hooked. For a lot of viewers, this will make the story feel boring and repetitive. Don't misunderstand- I love dramas that blow me away with awesome spectacle and incredibly pronounced peaks and valleys in the storytelling too, it's just that you won't find those elements in this show.

Personally, this is one of the best dramas I've seen this year and I think it's quite well-written, but it's also easy for me to understand why other people don't see what I see in it. If what I wrote hasn't turned you away from watching it, I'd say to give it a go, but do so with an open mind and as few expectations as possible from what we usually look for in dramas - I think you're far more likely to enjoy the story if you accept it on its terms instead of trying to make it fit into your idea of what the story should be :)

I think DAYS and Mad for Each Other have ruined Korean dramas for me for a while - I've tried starting other currently airing dramas, but everything seems so boring and clichéd compared to these two.

For my take on it, this is, for the most part, a romcom, but it also deals with serious issues in a serious way - there's not a trace of anything funny in episode 12 between our leads, but it's a thoroughly excellent episode. This has been one of the most emotionally rewarding dramas I've seen in a while.

I don't think it was unreasonable for the ML to not believe the FL. To be fair, while they both understood each…
That's exactly why episode 12 was so heartbreaking for me - between writing, acting, and directing, they made it really easy for us viewers to understand why both of them were acting and reacting the way they were and to sympathize with both of them. Sometimes things just don't work out.

I won't say the police chief didn't say anything to her to make her break up with him, but that would seem more like a "typical drama" approach to the situation in a drama that's been very atypical and upfront when it comes to showing us the motivations for our two leads in dealing with each other. It definitely has a chance to play out that way in the final episode, but I think it seems more fitting to the story (and her character) so far that she broke things off simply because she was really hurt.

Even though I love this drama, I tortured myself with Abyss because of Park Bo Young, so I can relate. If this isn't working for you, then it isn't - no drama is going to please everyone (except possibly My Mister 😆)

Okay how's the romance? And is there build up bc this sounds interesting
That question is a little tricky to answer. I think the romance is excellent, but that's because it's dealt with fairly differently than I can recall seeing in any other Korean drama. Every time I think a scene will play out in a certain way because of what I'm used to from most dramas, I usually end up surprised because it plays out more how it normally would in real life. What I will say (that might be more helpful) is I can't recall the last time I was this emotionally invested in the leads in a Korean drama. Through the awkward scenes, the cute scenes, and the painful scenes, I've been right there with our leads every step of the way. A word of warning, hopefully without spoiling too much - with the last episode airing next week, I don't think any of us in the comment section have a clue about whether it will have a happy ending or not, so if that's something you look forward to in a drama, there might be some disappointment there.

Ep11&12: Oh, this was painful. I get everything what's happening and why it's happening but it doesn't help. The…
Excellent take on the whole thing. And, yeah, it was painful. I can't recall ever having "felt" a breakup this much when watching a drama. Personally, I was a little annoyed at the brush-off Hwi Oh was giving Min Kyung when he was talking on the phone with her from the station - as you mentioned, catching Yang is his main priority right now, and everything else fades far into the background when he's focused on it. That's just where he's at. And, yeah, Min Kyung's at a place where it's easy for her to imagine worst case scenarios with Hwi Oh because of how hurt she still is and how much she's dealing with from her ex (and will be dealing with for a while). I totally love both of these characters, and I love seeing them together, but it's also really easy to see why they shouldn't be, at least right now. And kudos to the everyone involved in the production for episode 12 - between stellar writing, directing, and acting, it was an amazing and heart-wrenching portrayal of how things just don't work out sometimes, no matter how much people want them to. Even if it's only a temporary separation, what I saw in episode 12 was some truly first-rate storytelling.
