Yes you bring up a good point, he was her hope. This makes it even harder, you can see her fighting her conflicting feelings in the latest eps, understandably
I feel like people came in with their own biases on what they like from a FL, and she doesn't fit that. She isn't…
Exactly, well said. I even read comments where ppl said that she didn’t read the whole script, but she did as mentioned in earlier eps. She is technically just an observer in this world figuring out how to survive and already has a certain view on who NH is (he was horrible in the script). Unexpectedly, she falls in love with masked man LSL, and is now sorting out the conflicting feelings after finding out his true identity. I mean anyone would tread softly.
I do wonder if LSL existed in the original, I don’t think he did? That was the one change
I am sad seeing all the Weibo posts where the actress has to explain her character, so unnecessary. Are we the…
Almost as if toxic behaviour is considered acceptable. Reminds me of the old school dramas where jerk behaviour is romanticized and the ML always gets away with it. Not saying NH is your typical male lead/a jerk, but he was in the other script and isn’t perfect here either. It’s ok to have our own opinions but ppl should keep opinions to the story and not real life. Bashing the actress doesn’t make us better than SYM lol
Another comment section with bashing of FL character, now I'm really disappointed 😔 it so sad how people think…
I am sad seeing all the Weibo posts where the actress has to explain her character, so unnecessary. Are we the minority who feels the hate is just a little much? Yes her behaviour is quite frustrating, but I can understand it because she doesn’t see what we viewers see. Also NH has his flaws - how could she not have her guard up? With the latest eps we can see her lashing out but there is development there as she sorts out her feelings. If she were ruthless, she wouldn’t consider him at all and just kill him. Not justifying her cruel words to NH, but no need for the hate especially towards the actress.
FL hate again 🤦 FL no longer wants to kill NH, she just wanted to distance herself from him by saying harsh…
I totally understand the frustration about her character, but still find it harsh. And to hear that the actress herself is getting backlash for it too? Am I the only one who doesn't feel like it's such a big deal? I know this immense angst is to leave us more satisfied when the couple do get together.
Also, Nan Heng has his own flaws. Yes, unlike the original story, he truly loves SYM. But still, it's hard for SYM to get her preconceived views on him out of her system. She's juggling a lot trying to prevent chaos from happening and also navigating her feelings. Cut her some slack! I think she is showing development in the latest episodes, instead of just blindly wanting to kill him.
NR, CGH, and the Emperor need to be gone already. They so annoying, especially stupid NR and his stupid and cruel…
NR's character is too much lol, I keep wondering if it's just an act and that he's actually very calculating.
LYN is so good at playing tragic heroes, I feel like he's being casted as these characters for a good reason. May be influencing viewers having an extra soft spot for Nan Heng.
I’ve seen some people coming for the actress lately and it really sucks. Like yeah, I get the hate toward the…
Wow it's gotten that serious? That's uncalled for and honestly she shouldn't have to explain herself when she was doing her job. I get the frustrations but this is a drama (hence the angst LOL). Also I think people are being way too critical of the character as well. I agree with the frustrations, the writer could've done better in showing some character development, but at the same time, I don't see it as a big issue. Some of her behaviour makes sense. The ML wasn't a saint, but I think people are also not really separating the actor from his character either (I mean we all love LYN, but Nan Heng has his flaws too!).
I really wonder what kind of female lead you guys want. Literally NH was AWFUL to her in the first episodes and…
I'm surprised by the amount of flack the FL is getting. I do understand the frustrations, it's already hard to believe that she did not know that NH was LSL all this time (I mean given the eyes and the voice) - that's why it's a drama haha we need the angst. But if you place yourself in her shoes, you can see why she is acting this way. She already had a preconceived view on him as a character before entering the script, with how he treated SYM in the original story (using her and betraying her). With this in mind and on top of the attempts of killing her after she enters the script, it's understandable that she would have her guard up. It sucks that NH is misunderstood, but after everything that has happened (plus he lied to her about his identity), how can she trust him? I think her actions make sense.
So can someone explain to me - does Nan Heng's other identity as Li Shi Liu exist in the original script? My understanding is that he didn't, otherwise Song Yi Meng would know, right? Basically no matter the changes in the events, the outcome will be the same. However, the real change is that Nan Heng is not just a ruthless and ambitious man who uses Song Yi Meng this time around, but someone who is actually kind, hence the existence of LSL? Was this shift all because SYM enters the script?
LOTFG was supposed to be released in Q1 2025, but because of one of the actors, it got postponed and had to be…
So unfortunate, was anyone actually hurt in the scandal? I feel like this is a bit extreme when many more serious things happened with celebs in the past. Didn’t know edits would take that long (or maybe it’s the time to review). Hope the face swapping isn'tdone poorly, they had a lot of time
I do wonder if LSL existed in the original, I don’t think he did? That was the one change
Tbh, some of her behaviour is quite realistic
And the emperor's favoritism since the beginning (even before the empress died) makes zero sense
