I hope Jade Emperor will make an exception, they deserve a happy life together.

Not sure, I think the drama focuses on resolving issues and healing rather than romance. It’s not a romance series. Although, I would love for them to have a happy ending together in another life

My heart wants the same but my brain is telling me it wouldn’t be logical for them to end up together. Just like how Ryung Goo’s bond with his mom is forever broken, GR and PJG will have to heal and move on. Fantasy shows usually have a bittersweet ending, I’m afraid it’ll be the same here but I think I’ll be toooooo sad to see that.

Wish they could be like Sunny and Grim Reaper from Goblin, to have a second chance by living a happy lifetime together. I mean Jade Emperor made the exception when GR was brought back from hell, and it looks like she organized them all to work together along with CJW for a reason. Is there hope at all???

Omgosh me too! But I have a feeling it will be bittersweet since the rules about their broken red thread of fate still applies. They will both heal and have to move on.

Unless Jade Emperor makes an exception, I’m afraid we won’t see them together again. I feel like Jade Emperor wants them to move on and be reborn as humans again and live their separate lives. So tragic

Yes that makes sense now, but the fact he gets those memories through dreams shows he never healed. It takes more than one lifetime to forget as Jade Emperor said. But I’d be really sad for GR if and when he forgets her for good and moves on

Ah yes that would make sense. I also think he probably went on a rampage after she died, or died during his job as a military official.

So since he reincarnated, he should definitely not know GR - as she mentioned. But the fact he does shocked GR. Which ties back to what Jade Emperor said about how it sometimes takes more than one lifetime to heal - sometimes souls get haunted forever even in their dreams from the pain. That is prob why PJG could not forget. I’m assuming if the maid isn’t the one GR has to save, it’s him.

I’m curious about the red thread GR has on, shouldn’t it be broken? Or did she keep it so that the bond will still exists so she can help PJG. After he is able to heal, is that when he will truly forget her and say goodbye? Omg that kind of ending would be realistic but would be TOO TRAGIC

I would love to know too LOL. In the beginning I had the impression it was for the souls that committed sins or choose to stick around to meet loved ones. But PJG, not sure

I also checked the Chinese translations and it doesn't look like a mistranslation in Eng. So if PJG had two lifetimes (with the locked one being the one where he was with GR), why didn't he just continue moving on and reincarnating. Why did he become a reaper?

I have a couple of questions for you all, in the beginning of ep 10 when GR said to the Jade Emperor, "You said he only looked the same but was a different person...He's someone who definitely shouldn't know me" - does this mean that GR didn't know that PJG was the same PJG she married in her past life?

I had the impression that she always knew he was her husband? Or perhaps she thought he was a doppleganger? Just thrown off by the ''he only looked the same''

Also was there a mistranslation in the episode where PJG asked the librarian to show him his past life, but was told that he can remember his last life, but the life before that is locked. Were there two lifetimes? Judging from his attire in ep 13 when he guided the girl to the afterlife, he was definitely from the Joseon era when he was married to GR.

But will PJG and GR get a happy lifetime together like Sunny and Grim Reaper from Goblin? Prob not the most realistic and logical outcome but….seeing how much they’ve suffered I’d hope for an exception 😅

I'm for the couple too! I feel like if they had given us snippets of PJGxGR's past throughout the drama (leaving the big reveal behind the reason why GR took her own life) - it would've flowed better. Kind of worried about how they'll wrap it up with only 2 episodes left.
