Just finished the last episode and like many of you say, they ended it well. No crazy cliffhangers, but enough substance to look forward to in the next season (whenever that may be). If there is another season, I hope we don't have to wait too long. Zhang ruo yun and the cast are young, but don't wait til they're too old LOL. It was great discussing this drama with everyone!

I agree! She definitely has room to grow as an actor but what I like is that she emotes naturally without worrying whether she is crying ''beautifully''. I mentioned in another comment that her aura reminds me of Ariel Lin. Very natural and refreshing.
I wish people would stop focusing so much on looks because that seems to be the main issue with all the negative comments I'm reading. I don't need a FL to just stand there to look pretty. (Although, I think Teresa Li is very pretty, esp when she smiles. I think the reason why they chose her is because of her spunky and youthful aura).

If it is a matter of acting - she is young and has room to grow as an actor. Plus, if that's how her character is written then she can only do so much. There were moments where I felt like the other female characters were dull, but they didn't get the same negative feedback about it. Most of the comments seem to stem from whether she is considered ''pretty'' or not, and I really don't think we should be recruiting cast members just based on looks.

My final thoughts after finishing this series: It has been a minute since I've watched a TVB series, and gotta say I was intrigued for a majority of the drama. They did a good job with the action, suspense and plot. However, the ending was very underwhelming and didn't make much sense. The build up fell flat. I was quite disappointed with how they decided to end it because there was potential to wrap it up nicely. 27-28/30 episodes were good, but I wished they had given the ending some thought. If they had stuck with one big fight/finale with all the antagonists rather than separate fights and cut out some fillers, the ending would have been more cohesive and less rushed/choppy.

Good point. Hard to please everyone though lol we will just have to see what happens if season 2 is confirmed. Perhaps that’s why he marries all of them in the novel cuhs they’re all great in their own way (or so I hear). I still ship JN and XFN lol, I’m a sucker for their childish/quirky bond. I assume JN should have more character development if is season 2. She has always been mature but never showed that depth because she and XFN haven’t officially made that step (kinda dance around each other cuhs of pride).
