Just wanted to say it was nice discussing this drama with you all! First time joining a forum and it’s been a blast. Kudos to the cast and crew for bringing this story to life. It’s been a while since I’ve seen such amazing cinematography and the way they tweaked the original story was satisfying. Gonna have some drama withdrawals after watching the last two eps, even though I know the ending, looool. What a journey!

Kinda sad by ZY and ZL’s lack if screentime. Thought they would show them more towards the end. So sad that the best friends ZYxHS and DXxFJM had to face separation. Such beautiful kindred spirits/best friends/brothers. If only they were born as commoners without the responsibilities of the country on their shoulders.

Yeah I that would have been nice. I’m sure DX’s child would learn about baixi one day and the love between his teacher and “mom”. He would probably want them to retire in peace. It would’ve been great fan service to see that. With FJM alive, we can leave it up to our imagination. I knew the scene the three main leads filmed as teens was a dream sequence hahaha since HS wasn’t around when they were teens.

Such fate, honestly…he must owe DX so much in their last lives looool. Apparently ZL and ZY are really the only ones together? I see a pic of them on a horse. Perhaps if FJM and HS live to see the day when the child has grown and the kingdom is stable, they can retire together in Yuezhou? But then again, I don’t think FJM would break the bond and leave again looool. Poor man honestly. At least HS is there as well and they can work as a team this time.

just saw a snippet of the scene where FJM has a convo with HS before lying down on her lap, looks like it really is a BE?! They were talking about how nice it would’ve been if they met earlier in life when he was young and all (perhaps that explains the BTS footage that FJM/DX/HS filmed together when FJM and DX were teens). HS says she will be Madam Pearl again and stay in the palace to help the little prince since the kingdom is unstable. Then FJM says he is sleepy and lies down on her lap 😭😭😭 I cannot handle watching the final eps!!!

Oh ok. I figured the carriage she had would be empty, since they’d target HS first. But thought maybe they’d quickly briefed on what happened. Even DX asked FJM when FJM knocked HS out “what happened at the mountain”. Lol I guess it’s just implied, but I do notice they kinda brush over certain things in the last few ep. Hope they don’t rush the rest of the ending. Eeek all the photo stills of the grand finale has me anxious!!!!!

Can someone explain how they brought Lang Huan back, did they just completely omit what happened there. Thought it would be explained in today's episodes but nope

Cheers my friend! I have to give it to them for not completely spoiling the storyline with the teasers and ep trailers. I thought I knew exactly what would happened next but find myself surprised at times. I saw some videos of the main cast being asked if they think it's a HE/BE loool. Not sure if they actually don't know, or are just being cheeky. Regardless, in for the ride! The BTS footage helps relieve some of the sadness. The leads, especially the male leads are all jokesters in real life hahah

I feel you!!! Gonna feel so empty without the drama. Been blessed to have 2 eps a day! My heart

I personally never read the novel, but from what I've heard it was a lot more tragic (albeit a tragically beautiful ending). I think in terms of romance, HS and FJM have a better outcome here. They will at least have some happy moments together.

I don't want a BE but in a way this is a lot better than the novel. He dies a man free from Baixi and with the love of his life by his side.

I agree....There were definitely some filler scenes that kinda dragged the story on, that time could've been used to tell ZY's arc more to flush it out.

Also, DX is so adorkable! Lol I feel like Xu Kai Cheng's personality kinda translated into his role at times. The way he was so happy to feel pain and have the ability to bleed again was just hilarious!

So I skimmed through today’s episodes so I guess Suolan is the big bad guy?

They also kill of Tara pretty quick and easy looool to make way for ZL and ZY? I have to say Tara is a sweet girl though, but they could’ve forgone her character and the whole marriage thing.

And omg the bromance between DX and FJM, that moment when they were alone and FJM was packing to move. You can tell even though they say things, they just wanna spend some time together since they won’t see each other for a long time. This friendship is just so touching! I love how despite all the tragedy they faced, their friendship has only become stronger with their minds and hearts working together to the same goal. Even though DX is sad, you can see how happy he is for FJM to finally live life for himself.

Shifu and HS finally get to think about themselves and their future. Still taking me time to get used to this side of FJM, but when I think about it, he is finally allowed to his carefree self. Love how HS helped him be his original self again - carefree and happy (just like his childhood years). William Chan has such a sunny and youthful smile. Ofc, this is the calm before the storm. Considering all they’ve been through, they deserve happy moments together but we all what will go down tomorrow.
