Like other dramas, there are usually speculations/theories on the ending. I saw one that says DX&FJM die in battle, and HS becomes Empress Dowager and supports Tilan’s son - the heir of the throne.

This sounds plausible, something I predict will happen but ofc we all want a happier outcome! But compared to the novel, so far the changes still make it a “happier” ending since HS and FJM are still together even when she is married to the Emperor by name
