Ok, I know a lot of people hate the ending and how they romanticized PJE. But I think that this wasn't the focus…
That's what's scary. That people are willing to give a chance to characters like Jae Eon. Even if it's fiction, he clearly has no redeeming factors. She already gave him so many tries. How many more? It's nice to forgive, but he was never even caring about her throughout the show.

yeah apparently majority of users don't find that to be a problem. it blows my mind how many are willing to romanticize…
The major problem I find is that the writers never showcased any consequences for both of the main leads' broken characters when they were apart or together. There was never a connectivity of goals or backstory. They get together so easily and break up for no reason other than the obvious, but then only to get back together for no reason. Sure, it's hard to say no because of blablabla love, but seriously, there was no direction or purpose of where the love even came from initially or at the end. We knew that they were lusting for each other, but at the end it seemed to pass it off as a green light for love.

the most unrealistic part of the show is jae eon changing for nabi out of all people? think about it. he met so…
YES. It makes no sense. They also have no chemistry because they share nothing with each other aside for some skinship scenes and long stares. People say that this show is realistic in terms of characters, but I find they're so far-fetched. Then when we talk about what you have mentioned, people say it's a drama and it's not real. Which is it hahahah?

I have not watched Black Sails, but heard it is good! If you liked Nevertheless, then I think you would like Normal People too. It's much better told, but it can get annoying too. It's 18+ though.

In the end, it boils down to relateability. I was not able to connect to any of these characters, and thought it was very underwhelming, which I think is obvious from my comments. I am just very shocked by the amount of understanding Nabi and Jae Eon are getting from people.

This show does not fall under any of the categories that you have mentioned. It is neither thought provoking nor analyzes anything, except you are right about the last sentence. It was trying to break morality by being predictably boring and formatted. The morality of the story is to keep going back to those who hurt you because love is about being blinded. For the power of love indeed.

My point was that if it failed to do anything then at least pass on a good message.

Name me a good show or movie that does not have a life lesson or a good guy winning.

If you say it like that then why is there no movie (not that I recall) that has the bad guys winning? Movies and shows are supposed to deliver a positive message or at least a life lesson. Even Suicide Squad gave its characters some heart.

Yea the ending made it so unrealistic. That is why I am surprised by how many people say it's so realistic.

While i agree that this was boring af and the main characters were weak with no development, "Love Alarm" was…
Don't get me wrong. I have sympathized with villainous or anti-hero characters before. However, this drama wants to be a bit of everything so they swing characters back and forth with no aim.

I disagree with how people can differentiate shows vs realities from this perspective. It usually shows what kind of character a person is because of who they like whether the person is fictional or real. People who see there's nothing wrong with Jae Eon or Nabi as a character probably will say the same about a real life replica of those characters.

I don't understand what is there to debate about. It's pretty crystal clear that these characters are not normal. Then there will be those who argue that it's fiction and they can do whatever they want. Even if the characters are fictional, they need a semblance of realism for the audience to connect. It's like watching a 10 years old kid doing things that make no sense just to get the drama rolling. Not all 10 years old are dumb. We don't need to see this dumb side of characters just to create problems, especially problems that have no meaning or resolution.

So all in all, what was there to like about this show if it boils down to dumb characters 😂? I'm just saying that I don't have any connection to characters that bring troublem upon themselves and have no repercussions.

I read somewhere someone mentioned Gossip Girls Blair and Chuck. Yup, I'm sure the same type of people who like that couple will like this. They're all dysfunctional. Except it's quite clear that they portrayed Nabi as supposedly being the victim unlike Blair. Then again none of the leads from Nevertheless made any sense.

Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
' I think the word " toxic " is being used too loosely here . They're two young college students trying to figure…
In reality, people like Jae Eon don't change like that. It's so cheap that they made his character turn suddenly good.
On Nevertheless, Aug 23, 2021
I knew it! They couldn't have possibly pulled back in 3 episodes. In fact, they did nothing with the 3 episodes. I honestly have no clue what was the point of this drama. It feels like the director pitied Song Kang from Love Alarm so they made him the end goal in this drama. His character is so much more toxic in this show than Love Alarm, yet he still gets the girl. This is so worrying. Seriously, Love Alarm makes so much more sense, and I don't care about people who hate it, but it's still one of the best Korean shows I've watched.

Seriously all the acting was really subpar and nothing stood out. The only thing that stood out like a sore thumb was the annoyance of our three main leads. Nothing came out of them. If you watched episode 1 and then episode 10, you wouldn't miss anything! Even if things didn't make sense to watch this way, let me tell you, it still doesn't make sense when you watch from 1 to 10. We are back to square one by the end of the series. Jae Eon gets away with his manipulation, and Nabi is as dumb as ever and Potato Boy is a step-over mat as usual. The side plots were also really boring and kept dragging out for so long. I didn't care about anyone.

For those who are saying that this drama evokes debates, hence it's still meaningful, are wrong. Stupidity can evoke debate too, and this is the perfect example. Actually, it's more of a rant than a debate to be honest. Anyone who likes this, please question your morality or see a therapist because Nabi surely needs one.

I totally agree with you. For me, if somebody is trying too much and I am not feeling the same way as he does,…
Some people can't take hints, so you need to be straightforward. Nabi is actually enjoying stringing him along to make Jae Eon jealous. I don't think she's uncomfortable, since she's using Do Hyuk too.

This drama title is literally “I know but,” it means “I know I shouldn’t be doing this but I can’t stop…
I am all for character flaw, but she has nothing going on in her character arc. It's like a tug of war between Nabi and Jae Eon just because both characters don't have a brain. I mean Jae Eon seems to know what he's doing, since he's manipulating her successfully. Nabi on the other hand, she's just asking for it for 7 episodes. I can't wait to see her downfall.

I don't think most people are complaining that she's not reciprocating to Do Hyuk nor is she a slut, but she is clearly not made out to be in the same relationship realm as Jae Eon. Yet, she repeatedly makes the same mistake over and over. We are on episode 7 and nothing is happening to her character. Am I saying she should settle for Do Hyuk? NO. She needs to tell Do Hyuk to back off if she does not like him that way. Why is she stringing him along? Sure, he's like onto her and should not expect anything, but she's not saying no to him either. She deserves the same karma that Jae Eon is giving to her. I'm sorry, but she literally has no brain. Maybe she has a brain of a potato.

That's why we tell them to stop and not string them along. If he continues when she tells him to stop then it's a different story.

I think everyone hates NaBi for not choosing DH but I think we should for a sec take DH out of the picture and…
I am not in love with Do Hyuk because I am a fan of the actor or anything. I just find what he does for her very endearing and men should do that for women! Put them on pedestals and treat them right. It is for Nabi to tell him to stop or tell him that she doesn't like him that way. She should know that he's trying to chase her. If he continues chasing her after she says no then that is creepy for sure. She has always said yes to him everytime he asks her, so what's so creepy? Why are we blaming the poor dude 🤦‍♀️? Tbh we can say the same about anyone who is in love then. People always say it's cheesy or creepy to be in love. I am kind of scared for this generation if they all say Do Hyuk's love for Nabi is creepy.

Nabi is selfish and just keeps blaming Jae Eon, but she cannot even stand up for herself. Why is she blaming him???? She should stop and think about how her actions are so disrespectful. If I was her friend, I'd shake her till she wakes up. She is one of the worst characters I've seen. I have no sense of empathy for characters like these.

I'm so mean, but she honestly deserves it. I actually want to see her getting served. Like, she's so disrespectful. She belongs with Jae Eon at this point. Let them crash together ahhahaha

Let’s be honest, Do Hyeok is actually signing himself up willingly to be “milked”. She doesn’t go out…
Even if he imposes himself on her, it's her responsibility to say no. She's just stringing him along like how Jae Eon is stringing her along. Karma is a b*
