I loved all three books and I'm also eagerly waiting for the movie. I even bought the tickets already.
I hope you give The Princess's Man a try. I can't express how much I love it ^^.

Yes, he calls her that from time to time. Are you a fan of the books? ^^

The drama on my dp is a Korean sageuk called The Princess's Man. It's one of my favorite dramas, if not my favorite. You should try it out! I would love to hear your opinion. Do you usually watch historical ones?

No, I'm not mistaken. Gale calls Katniss, Catnip. Hence, that's Katniss's nickname from Gale ^^.

Though, I guess you didn't get that name off from Hunger Games either way - haha. Sorry, I'm a huge fan of the books ^^;.

I don't remember what pure crime/thriller I've seen so far. I usually drop them that's why ^^;. I've dropped Iris, Athena and City Hunter because they were just too over the top for me. I rarely watch other Asian dramas besides Korean.

I think I wrote my post to you last time wrongly. I meant to say that I really loved Padam Padam and Green Rose. They're not purely crime/thriller, but there's an element of that in there.

I don't remember when was the last time I tried watching Taiwanese/Chinese drama. I believe it was The Devil Beside You. I didn't like it ^^;.

I hope you try a Korean historical drama. I'd love to hear your opinion on it.

Sorry for dropping by so randomly, but I can't help but notice your username. It's from Hunger Games, right? ^^

i feel like the only person here who doesn't like this drama lol
Good show if we turn off our brains completely. I can't seem to do that even when I watch for pure entertainment :P. Besides, this isn't a rom-com. The only time I'd give leeway for plots is when they are rom-coms.

Haha - I can barely watch any Asian thrillers/crime/mystery. IMO, they try too hard to be cool when most of the time it turns out corny or cheesy (just my 2 cents). The only one that crosses my mind are Green Rose and Padam Padam, if you even considered those under the same genre. I'm sure some other good ones are slipping my mind.

I've never tried the 3 that you've mentioned, so I wouldn't know - haha.

Most people like TMTETS. Though, I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked to.

It's ok. You're not the only one. My whole family doesn't like it. In fact, the ending brought it down a whole notch for me. Not a horrible series, but definitely not one that I would go around recommending to people.

I'm not watching anything currently. In fact, I just finished The Moon that Embraces the Sun yesterday. As of right now, I'm waiting for The Rooftop Prince, Fashion King and King 2Hearts. Thank you for reading my review. I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^.

Do you watch historical dramas ^^?

I will give it a try after school is done ^^.
I've learned to watch random episodes, hence, I have many series that I've dropped. If I don't watch a random episode, then I fast-forward some scenes - haha.

The flying is not too bad, but it just turned me off. As long as it's a good/logical plot, then I'm fine ^^.

I usually start on a random episode when it's already airing halfway or when I'm not sure about the drama. I do that to get a gist of what it's like/about.

Everyone has their own taste, so no worries ^^.

I hope they'll continue choosing great projects in the future.

It's true that most on-screen couples don't get to pair off again in other projects, though Choi Ji Woo and Lee Byung Hun did pair off twice. Also, some of the supporting characters become main characters later on in their career, and so they get a chance to work with some of their colleagues again.

It's definitely rare though.

TMTES = The Moon that Embraces the Sun

I guess when I tried watching Deep Roots, I started with the wrong episode... where the people were flying around trees. I just don't like those sort of historical dramas. The only movie of that genre that I watched was "House of Flying Daggers". I might very well give it a try if you say so though. Though, I don't mind less romance. I loved Jumong even when there was barely any romance. It depends on other factors also.

Thanks for the info, by the way!
Hope you check out my TPM review if you're still hesitant ^^.
I enjoy reading your posts, so no worries. I type a lot also - haha.

I watched Jumong a long time ago. I believe it was in 2006 that I watched it? It was my first sageuk. It was definitely long and intense, but I'm glad it was my first because it totally drew me into that genre. Probably the most well-made/epic sageuk. You can tell that the production cost a lot. I don't know about the video quality now because it's been a while, but I remember before, I was amazed at the amount of characters that were involved. Not to mention the expansive scenery/background.

You can give it a try when you have a long break because it does become addicting.

It's one of those more original K-dramas.

Hi NinjaJade82!

Star sounds nice ^^.
I'll take your tip on Skip Beat! I liked Choi Si Won in Oh! My Lady, so hopefully I'll like him there too. Though, I rarely watch any other Asian dramas besides Korean dramas.

I don't get why everyone is praising TMTETS endlessly. It's definitely not a must-watch drama, in my eyes. TPM is much better, though, if you surf mydramalist often, you have probably already seen my general comparison - haha. Don't let the Romeo & Juliet tagline fool you.

I tried watch a bit of Deep Roots, but I got turned off after seeing people flying across trees and so on. I usually tend to stay away from those kind of dramas. What are the pros of the drama ^^? I might consider giving it another shot.

Now that you've mentioned it, you're right! Rooftop Prince reminds me of Kate & Leopold too!

I'm only excited for Fashion King because of Yoo Ah In.

Hi dramajunkie ^^,
I added you because I see that we have some similar tastes. I also love The Princess's Man, Secret Garden, A Moment to Remember, Park Shi Hoo and Hyun Bin ^^.
