Aww thank you so much for reading my review ^^. Yup, you might have a different opinion than me. Tell me what you think of it ^^.

Yup, I'm currently watching it. RTP is really funny! It's a nice mix of rom-com with some tint of period elements (very light).
I love Han Ji Min and YooChun in here ^^.

Hi there prettykewe09!
So nice to "read" from you again ^^. I absolutely love period dramas. Most of them don't focus on love as much as modern dramas. If you want to watch a first sageuk then I highly recommend Sungkyunkwan Scandal. It's a good transition, since it doesn't feel like an actual sageuk. Maybe, you'll get used to the clothing also and the environment? There's a bit of rom-com in there. There are also a couple of interesting leading characters, so if you get bored with one, don't fret ;).
However, if you want to dive into an actual sageuk right away, try The Princess's Man. I don't know if you like watching serious dramas (sorry, for my lack of vocab), but TPM is definitely not a fluffy drama. It's highly plot/character driven with a lot of angst, but it's so worthwhile. I cannot emphasize it further.
I hope you give sageuks a try. If you ever do, please tell me ^^.

Hi Hanna ^^! You can call me Val :).
I'm loving Fashion King so much. Which dude do you prefer? It seems like many people are bashing both of the guys for being jerks to Ga Young - haha.
Oh, I'd understand why you don't like Love Rain. I'm not too fond of Jang Geun Suk... the last project where I really enjoyed him genuinely was Hwang Jin Yi. Now, he looks egoistical. To be honest, his hairstyle and fashion turns me off :$.
Yeah, my parents watched AIMH before too, but I just couldn't get into it. It was too melodramatic for me - haha.
I know! I heard Moon Chae Won was supposed to be in Rooftop Prince. I wonder how that would have went. And I agree that as much as I love Chae Won, I'm loving Han Ji Min in this role!
No sweat about the late reply. Sorry mine is late too - haha.

If you're looking full of hopeful moments, then you'll be disappointed. Despite me raving about this drama, I hope you go into this drama with a carefree mind and not huge expectation - haha. Cause keep in mind that I can't read what genre or type of drama you like - haha.
Have you ever watched any Park Shi Hoo or Moon Chae Won projects before? Their best performances up-to-date lies within TPM :P.
Also, just to warn you... you might be a little put off at first from the political issues because it seems like a lot to take into at the beginning, but then it's so worthwhile afterwards.
I'm trying to point out the negative parts in case you go in and become disappointed right away. Hang in there!
I'll be waiting for you opinion ;). I hope you give it a chance.

Oh yeah, I tend to get fed up by the comedy the Hong Sisters are able to produce. The only two that I immensely enjoyed are My Girl and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. The rest didn't strike me and passed off as cheesy/forceful. I know the same would apply for the two dramas I listed, but when it comes to the Hong Sisters it's like a 50/50 chance if their characters are a miss or a hit.
I also enjoyed SKKS. I thought it was refreshing, but I don't consider it a historical drama. It's a good "fluffy" historical drama though. I agree that the political issues (if any) in SKKS were boring. I usually dislike the politics going on b/w the old folks, but I really enjoyed it in TPM.
The beginning might be a little slow if you're not into the OTP. I was officially hooked after episode 13 or so. Don't get me wrong. The first half is good, but the latter half is even better.

I can't really convert you if you're not in a mood for one - haha ;). Though, you might immensely enjoy them if you give them a try. I don't remember if you said you've tried any before... but if you ever do please do tell me ^^.

Hi Rita ^^!
That's a great idea for a discussion thread. I'm glad I gave you an idea, I guess - haha?
Yeah, the Korean period dramas tend to set in the Joseon era. Though, I find there's a difference let's say between Jumong and Yi San in terms of timeline and genre despite they're both sageuks.
It's true that women had very few rights in the Joseon era, but a lot of the sageuks make them unconventional or different from the norm of women in those period. That's what I love about historical dramas. It's that our heroine defy that code. Another reason why I love TPM is because the heroine isn't supremely smart or mighty which is usually the case for a lot of sageuks. There needs to be a line between doing everything possible in that state and doing the impossible. Anyway, our heroine is very spirited and it's the first sageuk where our OTP loves each other equally. You root for them.
God, I truly would give this more than 10. This drama is amazing. It's been more than a month since I finished…
Haha - that's a nice wish to hope for. Probably won't happen again :(.
By the way, the rating has dropped dramatically >.<. This series seriously doesn't deserve anywhere from 1-5 to the very least.

Hey again Rita ^^!
Have you ever tried watching historical dramas, or you were just never up for it yet? Do you prefer to go for something lighter before transitioning to an actual historical drama? If so, then I guess you can try Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I'm not sure if that's your sense of humor. Though, there are a couple of really interesting characters, so if you don't like one, then perhaps you'll like another ^^. Apart from that, I'd say give The Princess's Man a try if you're up for a real historical drama because it's an awesome drama and it's a short one compared to other sageuks.
It's true that humor depends on each individual. I, too have my fair share of guilty pleasure. Though, the characters and storyline in Greatest Love didn't impress me either - haha.
It's ok, I'm typing a novel to you also. I enjoy reading your posts/replies, so don't hesitate ^^.

My favorite episode of Fashion King are 7 and 8 at the moment, so enjoy ^^.
Ohh... you can't access dramafever either?
I tried watching Autumn in my Heart a long time ago, but I couldn't get into the overly dramatic scenarios and sappy characters. In fact, there's a drama called Love Rain which is currently airing at the moment. It's from the same writer and director of Autumn in my Heart and Winter Sonata. If you want to go for something more recent that has a similar feel, maybe check that out ^^. Are you planning on watching Autumn in my Heart?

Hi Rita ^^!
You can definitely call me Star - haha. Yeah, I feel like I'm one of the few rare peeps who didn't like TMTETS so much. I just don't understand the massive hype. Anyway, do you watch historical dramas? If so, I recommend The Princess's Man!
I feel so flattered that you enjoyed my review of TMTETS :3. My review is getting some virtual lapidation.
Yeah, my dropped list is pretty unconventional - haha. I just finished The Greatest Love because I felt like it would be a waste not to finish it when I only had half of the last episode left. I will most likely write a review on it some time. I fast-forwarded through many parts because the comedy was ridiculous.
Anyway, thanks once again for the add ^^.

Yeah, the recent episodes of Fashion King are so great! Yoo Ah In is wonderful. He's pretty diverse. I loved him in SKKS, but I love him even more (perhaps) here. It took me a while to get used to his hyperactive character - haha. I see that you're on episode 2... it gets a LOT better. Trust me ^^. The beginning was borderline mehh and whatever. Though, I admit I was still captivated by it somehow - haha.
I watched RTP on viki yesterday. Where do you watch it?
