Title Love Rain
I watched the first episode and couldn't bring my self to watch the 2nd one - I'm thinking to give this drama…
IMO, it's not worth another go if you already found it hard the first time. Perhaps, I'm one of the few odd ones, but I really enjoyed the first few episodes when they were still in the 1970s. When it came to the present time, I was enjoying the new switch as well... but it got to a point where it was so slow and boring. I believe it was around ep 14 where I completely lost interest.

They just kept on recycling the same plot over and over. The parents couple was BORING and cheesy - haha. It's not that I have anything against middle age people dating. There was just no sparks. In Ha kept on saying "sorry" to everyone. This drama should be re-titled as "I'm Sorry". That's all I ever hear!

Also, the main leads have no chemistry, IMO. They're all really good actors and the simple plot has minor plotholes, but it's just so REDUNDANT. It's like I'm watching a drama that has NO DRAMA.

Oh sorry for being unclear. I meant that I'm sure I'll be dropping some of the dramas I've just started recently soon because I've only watched 2 episodes max of each so far. I hope that makes more sense - haha.

Oh wow, when I wrote my review for the first episode... I thought that Shin Hyun Joon is the hero of the drama. I only recently realized that Joo Won is the protagonist now. I thought Joo Won would be the supporting dude, since he passed off as such a bad guy from the get-go. He does have some sense of goodness within him, but I thought he was gonna become a lost cause like so many other evil supporting dudes.

Now, I'm starting to open up more to this drama because I'm curious as to how his character will make a U-turn. Hmm... I've never seen a character like him before! If that is the case (where he'll become go from malevolent to benevolent) then I'm all in for the ride ^^.

Thank you so much for taking your time to give me recommendations ^^. I will look into them whenever I finish this batch - haha. I'm currently viewing so many dramas at the moment. However, I'm sure I'll be dropping some soon. After-all, it has only been 2 episodes max.

Hi there ^^!

Haha - I'm glad you started on a period drama ^^. Though, I don't really like Queen In Hyun's Man. The lay-out is good, but I don't find the actors are that great in their role. There are some cute scenes... however, they seem to exaggerate their reactions a lot, especially the leading girl. That's just my opinion - haha.

How are you finding it (:?

No need to apologize - haha ^^. Yes, K2H looks like a well-made drama with highly designed sets and costumes.

I also agree that Japanese tend to have more depths at times. However, some of their storyline are not to my taste. I completely agree that they sometimes deal with things that people normally wouldn't think of... which is definitely creative. Also, I can rarely find a good quality Japanese drama which is another downside (my fault for not being good at searching - haha). Sorry if I am being ignorant, but what is taku and LBS?

Oh, as bad as it sounds, I also cannot stand Taiwanese dramas most of the time. I think it is largely due to the language, and I am Asian myself - haha. So I understand you. The language melody sounds too harsh for my ears.

I agree that Japanese and Korean dramas are more interesting.

My brain is unable to comprehend the ending; I loved this drama so fucking much but what's with the ending? I…
Haha - same here! At first, I thought the killer was highly probably Jae Hyuk. However, after a re-watch of the last episode ... I'm thinking it might be Jae Hyuk's father instead. Jae Hyuk's father knows of Young Gul's whereabouts too. Then again Young Gul had so many enemies...

I'm Asian myself. I guess I got into Korean dramas first. I have tried several times to adapt to Japanese dramas let alone other Asian dramas, but none of them pique my interest. I believe it's the production/set-up that don't attract me. As shallow as it sounds, the Korean dramas are more vivid and vibrant which catches my attention more. I'd be lying to say that I don't care about the aesthetic factors. They're the first thing that draw towards a drama.

I can tell that the Japanese ones are unique, but some of them pass off as weird IMO (no offense) - haha. Some of their family dramas are more realistic than the Korean dramas, I find.

So that means you're gonna wait for a while to watch Timeslip Dr.Jin (Korean version)?

By the way, I'm loving Lee Bum Soo's character in here - haha.

Haha - no problem. It happens to me too sometimes. It's true that Equator Man and K2H don't appeal to everyone.

Right, Jin is the original to Dr.Jin. I'm actually enjoying the suspense and developments in the Korean one, so I don't want to spoil it exactly. Though, I'm sure the threads will contain full of spoilers since there will be those who will compare the two.

I don't usually watch Japanese dramas because I don't find it to my taste. I have tried many, but very few appeal to me. Hence, I don't give them a chance that much anymore (shallow of me - haha). Nonetheless, 1 Litre of Tears is one of my favorite dramas. So it's not that I don't like Japanese dramas overall, but it's rare to find one that is interesting for me.

Have you watched JIN (Japanese version)?

Sorry, K2H and what drama is the same type? No, I haven't seen JIN. Honestly, I don't watch many Japanese dramas - haha.

Yes, I really like reading your constructive opinion as well (:.

I guess King2Hearts is just not my cup of tea. Don't like the characters nor the story. It definitely seems well-made though.

Well, hope to hear from you after you update your watch on Dr.Jin or so (:.

so do i watch it? Can some1 please give me their opinion on this drama?
The writing isn't poor. It's just not very captivating nor alluring IMO. The premise has been rehashed countless of times. Sadly for me, it didn't bring anything new nor exciting to the table. It's just some old formula with different actors playing... I'm not a huge fan of the actors nor this type of story, so maybe that factor adds in why I don't appreciate it as much.

I respect your opinion (:.

Haha - I'm always on the look-out for unique dramas. I just started watching Dr. Jin and A Gentleman's Dignity. They both seem very intriguing ^^.

It is hard to separate b/w my objective and subjective side. However, Fashion King is a great example of how to differentiate b/w subjective and objective. I immensely enjoyed it, but I know that it's not that credible nor well-made. I'm still wrapping my head around the ending of the drama - haha.

I tried watching King2Hearts, but I couldn't get into it. Despite my love for Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, the storyline couldn't peek my interest. I also dislike Ji Won's character.

Hi Bladey ^^!

I see that you are also a fan of The Princess's Man (:.

Yeah, I was contemplating on how to rate dramas at first. I thought it wouldn't be fair/ideal to rate based on my subjective side only because sometimes the drama is not well-made, yet it's so entertaining. There are also other dramas that are objectively well-made, but they're too boring for my taste. So I try and balance my subjective and objective side.

Thank you for checking it out (;.

It depends on what you're up for. I can't give a fully credential judgement since I dropped it early on. However, I will give you a heads-up from what I felt during my watch. It's highly melodramatic. A lot of scenes feel like cut-outs from Korean dramas in the 2000s... basically several dramatic cliches. Maybe it's just very few melodramas hit the homerun for me. They're a hit or a miss... there's rarely any in-between. For me, this was a miss. It couldn't hold onto my attention. I gave it several chances.

I honestly don't understand how people are giving this drama 1s. The cast/actors deserve some points too. 1 is basically saying that the casts/actors are horrible. Even if the script is sh*t, I really don't think any drama or movie deserves a 1. This is just my humble opinion.

I still hold by my words that this is the most fun drama out of the lot I am/was watching. The only one that was able to make me feel connected to the nonsensical characters. Quite weird, eh? The other ones are better structured, but they're not as entertaining.

I think this is the first drama for me that started out as a 9 and went down to a 6 by the end...
The last few episodes were extremely devastating to watch. For entertainment wise, I'd say this drama did a marvelous job. It kept me on my toes every week because I grew so attached to these characters/actors. And the ending just bombed my admiration for any of them... I honestly, don't know how I feel anymore. So emotionally drained - haha. Though, I don't regret having watched this. I only wish they would have organized it better. I mean, I came into this knowing that it won't be logical (based on the first few episodes), so my expectations didn't totally override me. My dramalist rating dropped from 9 to 7. Why 7? I got to say the casts are great and the show kept me on the edge of my seat. I also love the dynamics/unconventional characters (except for the 180 degree change at some point). Anyway, I will post up a review sometime soon ^^.

So up till now... who's for Jae Hyuk and who's for Young Gul? I'm leaning towards Jae Hyuk, so +1.
I just saw the most recent preview, and I'm afraid Ga Young will end up with Young Gul. Also, I guess it's easier for the scriptwriter to make Ga Young end up with Young Gul rather than Jae Hyuk because Jae Hyuk hasn't dealt with his abusive parents either. His parents might kill Ga Young after-all.

I totally understand what you mean about Young Gul's death look at Ga Young. I swear, if Ga Young goes back with Young Gul, I'm gonna call her an idiot. Young Gul should tend to his business, and Jae Hyuk should get Ga Young! They'll be happy in one of the departments. I mean, if Young Gul gets Ga Young, it'll be so unfair because he'll have both!
