Aw, no worries, I wasn't offended by your comment per se. I just realized the recent trend of comparing dramas…
@manicmuse: I agree. The couple has chemistry alright. I just didn't root for them for some odd reason. I also didn't feel any spiritual bonding b/w the two - haha ... as weird as that sounds. Even though this couple had a lot of skinship and kissing scenes, I didn't feel as bound to them as I should be. Like, I didn't find that they were a unique couple.

On the other hand, there are other couples that make my heart pound despite less skinship/kissing scenes whenever they merely look or glance at each other. I guess I just didn't feel the "UMMPPPHH factor" whenever these two protagonists locked eyes on each other. They had a lot of chemistry concerning the physical and flirting aspects, but I didn't feel it spiritually.

I guess when some people compare dramas, they just say one drama is better than the other without stating whether for subjective or objective reasons. If it's for subjective reasons, then I don't think it's debatable. Like someone mentioned, different strokes for different folks.

However, sometimes when we're speaking objectively, there can be many reasons why one drama might be better than the other despite the two dramas are from different genre. No matter what genre the drama is, in my book, they should have a good enough storyline, good actors, and good characters. I guess if we keep debating, and more folks rock one boat over the other, then we will know what the majority of peeps find more substantial. The only hard part is some can't differentiate b/w objective and subjective.

Yes, you make perfect sense Biene1709 (:

What's so wrong about comparing this to other dramas? Is there a rule we can't? Everyone's feeling like they're…
@Biene1709: I completely understand how you feel that it's unnecessary to compare, but I guess it's in our nature. It's deemed to happen.

Nonetheless, I feel you. You're actually very nice about this. If I was on another board and stated my dislike or comparisons, I would have been bashed by fangirls. I extremely respect you for not saying things like, "Then why did you watch if you find it's so annoying?" or "Why are you here then, if you don't like this drama"? Trust me, you're much more levelheaded and cool than other peeps I know.

Keep typing (:

I enjoy reading your view and posts ^^!

Oh, I'm loving Bridal Mask at the moment. It's just too awesome. It gives me the same feeling as when I watched The Princess's Man. If you have not watched that drama, then I strongly recommend it (:

The addicting factors b/w Bridal Mask and The Princess's Man are similar.

Hyun Bin and Ji Won were great in Secret Garden. I also loved the OST very much.

Shining Inheritance is also one of my favorite dramas. I really enjoyed the chemistry b/w Seung Gi and Hyo Joo. They're also one of my favorite actors ^^.

I discovered dramas when my aunt randomly gave my parents some dubbed Korean dramas. The dubbing was horrible, but the storyline and characters seemed very interesting. At first, I thought it was funny/weird since the languages were diff., but sooner than later, we became addicted and ended up watching more dramas than my aunt - haha. My addiction is still going strong. What about u?

Absolutely agree, objective criticism is a good thing and something I have absolutely no problem with. But just…
Oh, I don't mean to sound insulting, but if you're asking why some people don't like YIN's acting, then you're asking for it - haha XD.

First off, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

I guess everyone has a different perception on what's deemed as good acting. It's not that YIN isn't a good actress at all, but I don't find she's ready to lead a drama yet. In my eyes, she lacks what is required of a leading actress. She lacks emotions and sense of direction. In some of the scenes, I feel as if she doesn't know what she's doing or how she should be like. Unlike you, I find her crying hard to believe. Her reactions also seem very scripted. When she tries to be cute, it tugs me in the wrong way because it seems very fictitious.

Her scenes with Hyun Woo are cute, but I don't find she shines during her individual screen-time.

I guess this is more of a subjective point since there's no right or wrong in acting.

Then again, who am I to judge eh? I'm no professional either - haha.

Hey there educto (:

I'm still stuck with school - haha. No worries, I live by procrastination ... hence, I'm watching so many dramas. What about you?

Have you watched the Japanese version of Time Slip? I read comments that those that did enjoy the Jap version thought the Korean one was lacking. I never watched the Jap one, so I don't know what to compare it to - haha.

Anyhow, it's not an extremely exciting drama, but it's good. At least, I find it's good. It was essentially my favorite one out of the batch I'm currently watching. However, Bridal Mask is just too exciting - haha. I'd still recommend you checking out Time Slip.

The nasty reviews are mostly coming from those that are comparing it to the Jap one. If you look at it as it's own, then it's a lot better than some other Korean dramas.

Hi nikhapi!

I popped by your profile because I read your review and comment on The Princess's Man. I'm also a huge fan of The Princess's Man - haha. I very much enjoyed your review as well.

Wow, I see that you also like Smile, You and Bridal Mask. I am loving Bridal Mask so much. It reminds me of when I was viewing The Princess's Man. They both have a lot of tension and it makes you feel like you're on the edge of your seat everytime - haha.

Smile, You is just hilarious as well.

Sorry, if I sound like I'm intruding on you. I just thought it was interesting that we share some similar preferences.

This is the best drama that I have ever watched and nothing yet at this moment can't defeat this as my number…
Agreed. I have watched Korean dramas for around 7 years or more, and this drama is just as close as perfection could get - haha. One of the most organized dramas, if not the most organized. It's not just a matter of organization, but how they wrap the complex story up so beautifully. There has been other organized dramas with a simpler plot, but this one just takes it onto a different level. It's complex and organized.

Oh my, I realized that I wrote something wrong.

"Yes, LJH is in City Hunter. He's tries to stay "pretty", and it's a huge distraction. When you're playing an action hero, you got to stop caring about how you look! It hindered him from acting to his fullest potential. Once again, this is just my opinion."

I was talking about LJH in the first sentence, but in the second sentence I meant LMH. I don't know why I wrote "he". Sorry for causing any misunderstanding. And sorry if I offended you ^^;.

do you think that Gil Da Ran will fall for Kang Gyung Joon and gonna be older woman younger man thing ?
@candlesgirl: I think Gil Da Ran will fall for Kang Gyung Joon. I'd be disappointed if that's not the case because I have almost no clue about Yoon Jae's background. Is he gonna wake up anytime soon O.o? Besides, the drama is focusing a lot on Da Ran and Gyung Joon bickering. From the looks of their bickering, it looks more than just friends or teacher/student level.

I'm just saying AGD has been compared to Sex in the City, but I don't like Sex in the City myself. So I don't know what those peeps are talking about - haha.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot I saw Jang Dong Gun in TaeGukGi. I was pretty young then to get the full concept of it - haha. I blocked my eyes most of the time due to the violence.

Nice take on bollywood movies. I never thought of that.

QIHM is only good if you like the OTP. I don't like either of the actors because they seem to lack the UMMMPHH factor. Like, when they're together, it's cute. However, they're not very good actors to carry individual scenes. The story is more realistic than RTP, but it's pretty plain for me. It's just my opinion.

As for City Hunter, I didn't like Lee Min Ho's portrayal of the vigilante. I felt like he was role-playing a vigilante instead of feeling he IS the vigilante. Yes, LJH is in City Hunter. He's tries to stay "pretty", and it's a huge distraction. When you're playing an action hero, you got to stop caring about how you look! It hindered him from acting to his fullest potential. Once again, this is just my opinion.

Gahhh... if this is a masterpiece then I feel rather insulted. I can't comment much further since I haven't finished…
Haha - true to that Bladey!

Yeah, a lot of the show biz try to advertise their dramas in that way. Oh well.

I've heard of Fushigi Yuugi, but I never read/watched it myself. RTP did feel like a manga - haha.

Yeah, Lee Dong Wook isn't getting a lot of good dramas either. I feel like he has fallen under the same category as Kim Sun Ah minus the talent.

I love their witty conversations in AGD too! Yes, she's the leading lady, if that's what you're wondering - haha. This is a much more mature drama compared to the ones you've mentioned like Rooftop and QIHM. I haven't seen Jang Dong Gun in so long - haha. I believe it was since All About Eve! I wish he had his hair up instead though... so I could perhaps see his gorgeous eyes? Lame excuse, I know - hehe.

I really enjoy the bantering/dynamics b/w the characters. A lot of scenes feel like Secret Garden, especially when they transition to the nature scene from Dong Gun's office - haha.

A lot of people call AGD the males' Sex in the City version - haha.

Haha - you guys crack me up. I'm glad I'm not alone on this. Jeez, I wonder how many kissing scenes they had together - haha. I will not deny that they have chemistry. Hmmm.... Are you guys sure they're not dating - haha? They're not very good actors, but they ooze chemistry. That must certainly be a sign.

Maybe I'm not so into the actors, hence, I'm not drawn towards the drama. It's either that or the story is too dull for me. I admit that RTP has more loopholes/plotholes, but it was able to keep me from contemplating whether I should continue the series or not. It was rather more interesting despite this drama this drama being more is more realistic. I just didn't feel like QIHM hit the homerun for me. It needed more UMMPPHH, if you know what I mean - haha.
