Title Shadow Love Spoiler
The plot is finally firing up! I do want the happy times between Jin An and Li Shuang to go on forever but I can't wait for the next arc to play out.

My thoughts for eps 25 & 26.
25 - The CP is literally the worse person, no sympathy for him. At least Prince Li doesn't ever hide that he is a total scumbag. The CP puts on a pitiful front, makes use of others for his own ploys and never spares a thought for Li Shuang.

26 - Seriously everyone in Wu Ling Mountain needs to get off their high horse and stop behaving like they are holier than thou. They are the ones who can't keep Yulinglong under control, but yet they have the cheek to treat Jin An so poorly.

I agree with everything the Crown Princess said, which is not what I expected from this kind of character XD The…
To be fair she is right, it is not right for him to head to the country where his previous crush lives. Even if it is under the guise of "the imperial edict", if he respected both ladies, he would have tried to politely decline the Emperor. Dude couldn't make it any more obvious that he can't move on in life. Tsk tsk

It's nice to see him not taking a villain role for once. We get to see a different side of him ^^✨
True! Haha, I'm so used to him being the villian that I initially thought he was going to be some spy.

Really enjoying Cheng Lei's acting as Jing An, he is so sweet, adorable and natural. There is also a natural chemistry between him and any of the main cast.

I want their happy days to continue! Can't bear to see what will happen to their relationship when he regains his memories!

Interesting take on the "special police unit" genre with a thrilling storyline and great fight scenes. Can see that the production team put in a lot of heart into the sets, locations and camerawork.
The whole cast did an amazing job as well. At times I wonder did they really get punched/injured. When Yun Dong Ju tried to fight while being dizzy, Park Bogum made it look so realistic.

At times the story gets a little too far-fetch, certain occurrences comes off as unrealistic. So many things occurred in broad daylight or in public spaces but somehow not a single civilian or cctv caught it.

I usually hate when manly guy act cute and childish because it can come out cringe. I even expected Jin An would…
Totally! Cheng Lei really handled the being cute, innocent wide eyed puppy very well! He never crosses the line of being overly cringey.

Absolutely loving this drama! The story progresses fast and does not unnecessarily drag things out. The director handles the tone and tempo of the drama very well, knowing when to be lighthearted and when to build up the tension. The comedic timing is subtle and effective as well.

Cheng Lei's acting is superb! His duality and versatility really makes the drama so enjoyable and interesting to watch. Can't wait for the next few episodes!

Title The Immortal Ascension Spoiler
His explanation was that she knew too much.
But what did she know that was too much? Most of the time they were not together, she didn't even know about the fate of the 2 bad guys. I feel this excessive memory erasing is going to harm both Han Li and/or Qian Qian later on in the plot.

I still enjoy the drama just that the logic of this portion doesn't make much sense to me.

Title The Immortal Ascension Spoiler
I get why Han Li had to give the Memory Pills to Qian Qian the initial few times but why did he give it to her after escaping from the caves?

Wouldn't it be strange that she wakes up in the middle of the desert with no memory of what occurred the previous few days? Kind of cruel to her as well...

everything was okay except yeomhwa getting a redemption arc. this woman literally abused a child from his childhood…
IMO I feel Yeomhwa didn't really get a full redemption. While the story did show that she has realized the error of her ways, she isn't granted solace. She wanted to redeem herself by way of sacrificing herself together with Bong-soo, but the story denied her this redemption. At the end, even when Bae Gyeon-U tries to forgive her, he can't.

She walks away all alone, having to live the rest of her life with the guilt of causing her mother's death, and the evils she has caused.

me neither. she actually looked better before 🙈
We have to consider the different fashion style between Japan and Korea and the makeover is based on what's trendy in 2015.

Title Study Group
It's been some time since I have gotten hook on a modern-time Korean drama! This drama wastes no time and properly introduces us to the members of the study group. The 10 episodes are well paced and at no point does it feel too rushed or dragged out. The comedy is actually hilarious, which is something very hard to do. The fight scenes are well-executed with great cinematography skills and good choice of BGM that further adds to the scene.

Hwang Min Hyun really outdid himself here, and brought Yun Ga Min to life. His acting, line delivery and fight scenes are 10/10! Yun Ga Min is the definition of "Looks like a cinnamon roll, Could kill you".

Interesting drama, watched for Yook Sung Jae but the MVP is the Emperor, his acting is 10/10!
Like how the drama dealt with both Yun Gap and Gang Cheol, each had a role to play towards defeating the evil without having any unnecessary love triangle.

Ultimately the most annoying character was Pung San, he should have met with a worse end.
Usually dramas would have the Shaman controlling the ghost, but I like how this drama puts the focus on the vengeful spirits instead. The scriptwriters properly paced the drama to slowly unravel the reason why the 8-feet-tall Ghost has a grudge against the royal family. Enjoyed every episode!

I just wrapped up 28. It's weird that even the European-looking actors speak in bad broken English (of course,…
I have to agree that Leopard's part kind of takes you out of the story. I get that she is suppose to be this psycho evil lady, but she overacts at times and her dialogue drags on for way too long that I could not take her seriously.

The bride (Ya Feng) in the previous arc did a great job where you actually feel that she is sinister, evil and would do anything to succeed.

It has been 2 years and this drama still remains one of the few shows which I will still occasionally come back to re-watch. The drama has a good balance of both lighthearted and serious moments and the OST is great. I adore both actors (Ding Yu Xi & Peng Xiao Ran), I feel they make such a cute couple.

The story-line is rather unique compared to other historical dramas under this genre. I love the banter between both leads and how they eventually naturally rely on one another.

The drama does have some minor flaws (which drama doesn't?) but all in all, it is a simple and well made drama. Don't over-scrutinize everything and just enjoy the story.

In general I enjoyed this drama but I also have some mixed feelings.

Pros: The visuals were amazing, the production level is top notch and the OST is on repeat. The romance between couples & siblings were sweet and lovely. The acting by the whole cast (including guest appearance) were great in general.

Cons: The story feels quite cluttered and at times all over the place. Felt like they wanted to do too much in a single drama, some arcs should have been reduced/removed so that there is more focus to the story. Some of the story's logic is not very convincing. Eg. They went 20 years into the future, knew what was going to happen but somehow at the end, nothing much changed, the team somehow still seemed so unprepared to face Jia Lan.

I think we all expected some tragedy but to be honest some of the tragedy seems forced. But I get that this story is part of a larger universe and a prequel to the Red Moon Pact, so in a way the writers had some limitations.

Jin Renfeng can never not be annoying omw, he was a pain in the arse in RMP, now also here 😤 😭
Tbh his whole plot line was quite unnecessary to the story, the scriptwriters should have reduced this part. It makes an already cluttered story-line even messier.

I felt his whole arc does not add much to the story, he is just a villain for the sake of being a villain. At least Jiu Huo had a reason for doing what he did.
