For a short length drama, the story is surprisingly cohesive from start to end. Somehow the drama is able to pack a proper and clear story within 12 mins/episode. The plot does not feel hastily put together and the relationship between the ML and FL feels genuine and not rushed. This is something that even some normal length 36-40 episode drama can't do.
Short dramas tend to be over-the-top and over-exaggerated, but that is not the case here, the plot is well thought out and the cast from leads to supporting actors did fantastic.
Now that we are at the point where Jin An has recovered his memories as Duan Ao Deng, it is clear why the scriptwriter spent many episodes showing the peaceful and happy times between Jin An and Li Shuang. It shows how their relationship has grown beyond the blood pact and their love is real and pure. These episodes are important on shaping the plot in the final 10 episodes.
Due to the bond between Jin An and Li Shuang, Duan Ao Deng's heart still feels for her even though technically he should have forgotten everything and no longer beholden by the effects of the blood pact.
I can't wait for the final few episodes!! One of my fav dramas of 2025!
Oohh! I have been loving the recent 4 episodes and it seems like the plot is charging ahead from hereon-out! Trailer for ep 30 was a total woah moment for me.
It's kind of sad seeing the part where Jin An was worried and asked did he forget something important.
The obsessive side male lead track is overused, I believe in C-dramas these days. Like basically, in every drama,…
True, I much prefer a SML who fights for his love but also knows when to admit defeat. It's ok for the jealously to play out for a few episodes but don't turn to a obsessive, self-centered and unreasonable prick.
The plot is finally firing up! I do want the happy times between Jin An and Li Shuang to go on forever but I can't wait for the next arc to play out.
My thoughts for eps 25 & 26. 25 - The CP is literally the worse person, no sympathy for him. At least Prince Li doesn't ever hide that he is a total scumbag. The CP puts on a pitiful front, makes use of others for his own ploys and never spares a thought for Li Shuang.
26 - Seriously everyone in Wu Ling Mountain needs to get off their high horse and stop behaving like they are holier than thou. They are the ones who can't keep Yulinglong under control, but yet they have the cheek to treat Jin An so poorly.
I agree with everything the Crown Princess said, which is not what I expected from this kind of character XD The…
To be fair she is right, it is not right for him to head to the country where his previous crush lives. Even if it is under the guise of "the imperial edict", if he respected both ladies, he would have tried to politely decline the Emperor. Dude couldn't make it any more obvious that he can't move on in life. Tsk tsk
Really enjoying Cheng Lei's acting as Jing An, he is so sweet, adorable and natural. There is also a natural chemistry between him and any of the main cast.
I want their happy days to continue! Can't bear to see what will happen to their relationship when he regains his memories!
Interesting take on the "special police unit" genre with a thrilling storyline and great fight scenes. Can see that the production team put in a lot of heart into the sets, locations and camerawork. The whole cast did an amazing job as well. At times I wonder did they really get punched/injured. When Yun Dong Ju tried to fight while being dizzy, Park Bogum made it look so realistic.
At times the story gets a little too far-fetch, certain occurrences comes off as unrealistic. So many things occurred in broad daylight or in public spaces but somehow not a single civilian or cctv caught it.
Absolutely loving this drama! The story progresses fast and does not unnecessarily drag things out. The director handles the tone and tempo of the drama very well, knowing when to be lighthearted and when to build up the tension. The comedic timing is subtle and effective as well.
Cheng Lei's acting is superb! His duality and versatility really makes the drama so enjoyable and interesting to watch. Can't wait for the next few episodes!
But what did she know that was too much? Most of the time they were not together, she didn't even know about the fate of the 2 bad guys. I feel this excessive memory erasing is going to harm both Han Li and/or Qian Qian later on in the plot.
I still enjoy the drama just that the logic of this portion doesn't make much sense to me.
I get why Han Li had to give the Memory Pills to Qian Qian the initial few times but why did he give it to her after escaping from the caves?
Wouldn't it be strange that she wakes up in the middle of the desert with no memory of what occurred the previous few days? Kind of cruel to her as well...
everything was okay except yeomhwa getting a redemption arc. this woman literally abused a child from his childhood…
IMO I feel Yeomhwa didn't really get a full redemption. While the story did show that she has realized the error of her ways, she isn't granted solace. She wanted to redeem herself by way of sacrificing herself together with Bong-soo, but the story denied her this redemption. At the end, even when Bae Gyeon-U tries to forgive her, he can't.
She walks away all alone, having to live the rest of her life with the guilt of causing her mother's death, and the evils she has caused.
It's been some time since I have gotten hook on a modern-time Korean drama! This drama wastes no time and properly introduces us to the members of the study group. The 10 episodes are well paced and at no point does it feel too rushed or dragged out. The comedy is actually hilarious, which is something very hard to do. The fight scenes are well-executed with great cinematography skills and good choice of BGM that further adds to the scene.
Hwang Min Hyun really outdid himself here, and brought Yun Ga Min to life. His acting, line delivery and fight scenes are 10/10! Yun Ga Min is the definition of "Looks like a cinnamon roll, Could kill you".
