I saw the white haired Ziqi in tiktok spoilers. He looks so damn hot.In which ep? What happened there? I haven't…
Ep 31, go watch!!! I feel this is ZiQi's best look in the whole show.

Gonna say it - I literally hate most of the things i watch...u can check my watchlist to confirm but THE ENDING…
I agree this ending is so fitting and beautiful.
What he wrote in the revised book is the most romantic confession on earth.
A kiss is not the only expression of love. They trust and care for each other, willing to sacrifice themselves to protect the other, is that not love?

In c-dramas, there are two types of open endings; open happy ending and open sad ending. This one is open happy…
This! As viewers, the director does not need to spell everything out for us for it to be considered "real". We should connect some of the dots ourselves.

Here, the story is already very very clear that it is a happy ending with Miao Miao & Zi Qi ending up together.

Putting an ending for such a popular drama is extremely difficult as everyone has different expectations of how it should end. I feel the director has provided the most appropriate and best ending.

I dropped the drama at ep 20 because I thought the editing and storyline was getting choppy. Does it get any better…
The drama is really worth your time, you have already watched till ep 20, no harm watching the remaining 12 to complete the story.

Ep 21 - 25 is building the back story to move the plot forward towards the final mission.
Ep 26 till the end it amazing and I enjoyed every second of it!

Why it's a happy ending and not an open ending:
How can people think that this is not a happy ending! The ending is soooo sweet soooo romantic, 100 times better than just an obligatory kiss. The book's Acknowledgments portion has got to be the most romantic love confession on earth.

In his revised book, Fu Zhou already said she has saved him twice. I'm taking it as once in the book world and once in real life.

For those here, it was fun enjoying this drama together for the past 17 days. It was nice sharing everyone's excitement and seeing the different theories brought up or small details noticed as the story unfolded.

For those who has yet to watch this drama, I envy you as you are going to enjoy this so much like how we did from 1 - 17 Nov 2024.

This is such a masterpiece, the ending is so touching and unique, it did not fall into the usual cliches but brought the viewers on a real journey. I had imagined a whole bunch of endings but this far exceeded my expectations. Hands down the best drama I have seen in recent years.

Thank you to the marvelous scriptwriters, director, set designers, costume designers for bringing this story to life. Thank you to the actors for bringing life to the characters, for allowing Zi Qi and Miao Miao to exist. Thank you for bringing us along this adventure in 2024.

People may be unhappy that there wasn't a kiss, but I applaud the director for staying resolute and staying true to the spirit of this drama. How can there be a kiss when Zi Qi does not know love, does not feel he deserves love and is just a lost child. The character will not know that for the author is also looking for it.

Kinda thinking the same thing. And sometimes, usually, the dramas they didn't expect to be popular turn out to…
It was trending yesterday with fans asking for it to be reverted back to 6 eps.

i just rewatched the last episode and it's so heartbreaking how zyz always has a smile on his face even when he's…
Almost like he is saying "It's okay, don't cry". No ZYZ, I am going to cry harder now

I heard the variety show has cut from 6 eps to 3 eps, so a little disappointed over that. But I am contented that this drama received so much love!

No I completely agree this was probably an unexpected hit, at least the extent it is now. This caught my eye because…
Yah! I followed this drama from when they confirmed the cast and prior to the release date, there actually isn't much promotional videos other than like 2 trailers? Which was why I initially thought it was only going to broadcast in 2025.

Other dramas like Fox Spirit Maker, My Journey To You had soo much more promo content. From filming wrap special video, bts video of actor's photoshoot, set design/making special video etc. Sometimes I feel the actor's vlogs provided more content on the filming process than the official production team.
On Love Game in Eastern Fantasy Nov 17, 2024
Sometimes I wonder whether the production team didn't expect this drama to be as popular as it is now.

From the relatively low episode count to the last minute addition of extra commercials seems strange. Other popular dramas usually have specialized commercials right from the start (commercial with the actor in their drama's outfit set within the drama's set) (eg. Fox Spirit Maker). Miao Miao's & Cui Cui's commercial was only very recently added in.

The variety program feels like it was arranged in a rush, the production team said they only managed to get everyone down for 3 days of filming, having only like a week to prepare. Usually such things are properly planned out from the start and it is only a matter of activating the plan. Nowadays its common for S tier dramas to be accompanied with a variety show, like Love You 7 Times and Dashing Youth all had a proper variety program.

Anyway, this is just a random thought of mine! Maybe from me thinking about this drama day and night.

The last few episodes should have been named: Fangs of Fortune - 1 Liter of Tears

The story reaches its peak and all the trails that the team faced is weaved into their final test. Each character has their moment in the final episodes and their emotions of pain, longing, redemption, courage resonates with us,

This is the right way to end such a story, it is heartbreaking but we understand why it had to be this way. There is hope in the darkness and bittersweet in the sadness. The scriptwriter and director has given us a well-paced story, with well-rounded characters, allowing us to understand the internal unspoken struggle that each character faced. It is lighthearted where necessary and serious when it was needed. The show is not sad for the sake of being sad, but to give them the push to face their fears, to grow.

A 10/10 drama for me.

Please I really like Ying Lei... A sunshine who stands with his comrades, who unquestionably believes in his friends, the one who brings joy to the group. He is the last to join the team but he is invaluable.

Episodes 26-27 is soooo exciting! Finally the mysteries are being answered, what happened that night at the Marquis Qing Yi's room, why Zi Qi can't remember his childhood, did his mother really abandon him? I cannot wait for the next few episodes!

Ding Yu Xi's acting in ep 27 is just top notch, eager but scared to know the truth, bittersweet happiness of seeing his memories, anger at the Demon Catcher and guilt for what happened. Seriously, he really can express every minute expression.

They should have let Ding Yu Xi sing the OST. He sounds better than the singer. 😄Song Name (歌名): 凝眸…
It was such a missed opportunity to not let the 2 leads sing the OST.
Hope they release an official version of 凝眸 with Ding Yu Xi and Yu Shu Xin.

Watching the BTS showed why this drama turned out soooo well. In almost every clip, the actors actively provide their ideas and the director actually adapts it into the scene.

When Miao Miao grabbed Mu Sheng's hand & confessed her love in Ep 3 was suggested by Ding Yu Xi. Zhao Ruo Shi hilarious crying after removing the bangle was suggested by Yu Shu Xin.

The 4 Bamboo Master gang feels like family because the actors are actually close & comfortable with each other! The livestreams with the 4 leads have been a joy to watch.

I guess Im the only one who doesn't care if they kiss or no 🤣 The chemistry is good and all that's I need ✨
Yes, great that I am not the only one. Is a kiss so important, why do viewers demand for it?
We do not need a kiss to prove love exist, isn't their chemistry/interaction more important?

I totally melted when Mu Sheng told Wen Xin that the world can end for all he care, but because he has someone he loves so he will try his best to protect her. If this isn't the most romantic thing to exist, I don't know what is.

Title Fangs of Fortune Spoiler
Ok i had 2 question--I'm still on ep 231) why did zyz's inner core didn't come out even after losing his 5 senses?…
Just my thoughts
1) I think ZYZ's inner core was fighting to come out but as a high level demon, he is still able to have some control over it for a few days.
2) My theory is that he cannot switch bodies again as his original body is already destroyed. He needs to return to his main body before jumping to a new body. So BJ is his last vessel.

Title Fangs of Fortune Spoiler
Have reached ep 29 and tbh even up till this stage I can't with Li Lun. What Zhu Yan said is true, he never learnt,…
- What Li Lun witnessed at the underground prison is truly evil, but he cannot indiscriminately harm all humans as there are both good and evil in the world. The Baizhe goddess had no choice but to seal him.

- He says he wants to protect demons but ambushed on Zhu Yan and Wen Xiao's ritual on fixing the Wilderness seal. When Ying Zhao told him destroying the seal will harm small and defenseless demons, he was fine with it.

- He says it was worth possessing people even though it will shorten his lifespan because then he can experience the world. But his each "experience" means the death of that person and loved one, that's just selfish.

From his POV, I can somewhat empathize with him, but his logic is flawed & contradictory, just blinded by his revenge against Zhu Yan and hatred for humans.
