I havent watched the original but I can see the japanese humour in this. Usually these shows would annoy me but, maybe because it's Earth, that I'm finding it kind of funny. I would never have placed him in a role like this, but it's working.

Fadel and Style is a really fun ride and Style is hilarious but emotionally, I really do prefer Kant and Bison. It's just so complicated and bittersweet. Kant did not have a choice to trick Bison. He met him before the chief called him with that dramatic 'daaaaaammn baby' moment when he seen bowling by himself and was left dazed and confused the next morning. I think he would have loved to see him again, it was just unfortunate that the circumstances were to trick him because he was threatened with jail and leaving his little brother alone.
Through out the show so far, First has given little micro expressions that I was seeing as Kant genuinely falling in love with Bison but ultimately knew it was a hopeless case. He was with him to save his own ass, so that he could keep protecting his brother, who I'm assuming doesn't know about Kant's legal problems. Or if he does, hes been given a water down version.
Bison on the other hand, just wants out of his way of life. He's a wild card, it's only natural that for a person like him to want his freedom. And he was clearly loving every little bit of attention that Kant was given. But he was still protecting himself. And of course, just as he finally surrenders all guards and let's Kant into his emotional field, he discovers the betrayal.
That certainly has not been boring for me. As much as I love Style, he and Fadel have been the comedic side couple for me. I still feel like both ships have still been given there general vibes/roles but JoongDunk at least matured it up a little and Dunk is the chaser this time, which is interesting to watch. I think this dynamic works better for Dunk. He doesn't strike me as a 'soft cute' character that he's been playing.

I remember posting after watching the opening 10 seconds of this show, saying 'ohhhhh, so we're going to be this kind of show' ...sex for humour....plus the ass that is going to be chased LOL
I really do hope we're not going with the Sangmin is dying trope because....I can take ridiculous humour if I'm interested in the characters. Killing one of those characters, I will not be happy at all.

It was a really beautifully done scene. From the consent, to allowing Rak to initiate and Fah to follow, and still allowing Fah's desire to show, all in sync with who the characters are, it's was lovely. Everyone involved deserves around of applause <3

I said last week I didn't know if I had watched other Domunidi shows but apparently I have, and I really loved them so I guess I'm Domundi fan? I mean GMMtv is very hit or miss for me and I avoid BOC. Who else is there? I can't think as I'm writing this.
I'm still learning the thai companies but Domundi knows how to hit a nerve for me, and I might consider them a favourite now. They just know how to wrap me up and play me like a fiddle and when it comes to the sex scenes, 100% much prefer this more sensual approach to intimate scenes.
I'm a big romantic at heart and they will get me every time.

I am a rock music fan. Kiss is absolutely camp by today's standards and that's what I saw. Yes camp is exaggerated and flamboyant, that includes aesthetics. Plastic jewellery and Kant's glasses would could all fall into that category as there not the norm and perhaps a little tacky. I know I've used the word kitsch as well for the styling. Someone posted that we all have our own definition and that's just the way it is.

From a design point of view I would definitely categorize it as camp LOLMore on the lower rungs though, it's no Rocky Horror but it's got elements of it scattered about.

Hands up. Who has rewatched the last episode just to relive Style being a nonchalent hero, an unhealthy number of times? LOL I was worried for Dunk when I see this advertised. I am glad to have been proven wrong.

so, I just got watching ep. 15 because I'm watching on youtube and omg, the cinema scene at the end LMAO I had to replay that a few times. Hill is like the classic prince, 'here baby, cuddle close to me' and Johan is just left wondering how and why he's fallen in love with this goofball LOL

I'm a serial dropper of shows. So much so, I managed to piss off 'several', I was told, in the BL thread because I'm so negative. I was even blocked. My bias cant keep me from watching a show that I'm not interested in.
I love this show.
It's not perfect but it's exactly what I love to see. I utterly adore the campy retro visuals, Kant's fake tattoos and Style's attitude. I just love that it's so over the top and fun, and is great to look at.
People who do genuinely love the show just the way it is, for what it is, do exist and it's not fair to accuse the watchers of any show you don't like as being somehow brainless and hyping up their favs just simply because you're not enjoying the show. There will always be a popular show that you won't like. That's just being human. We're all from different backgrounds and cultures with different expectations. Entertainment is there for those that need it at that time.
Genuine criticism is valid but let's not start calling each other names over different tastes and needs.

It's clear that the team was pushing the ter hill plot, and by default, earth and pond with this show to give them so much focus, only for their customers to want the guys being hidden in the back lmao
