Me is gonna hold your hands dear Fangs of fortune and tell you the truth, Those 2 osts you dropped so far are not giving ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Especially your ending Theme song. What was that. I can't bring myself to Like them ( Congratulations if you do btw) But was expecting something epic and ethereal for a fantasy show like this. But I still have hope. let's hope the rest are bangers. Because my journey to you didn't nail it's Ost lineup for this to happen
I see that you avoided the drama for so long. What made you avoid it? This drama was actually my sister's very…
1st. I don't like 2nd lead guy AT ALL putting them in a drama would be an instant skip. I personally skip their scene. and some might disagree but personally, I don't like his character here. Don't wanna spoil but I don't sometimes.
and again, I put it off for long without watching NOT because it's bad. around 2020 or so I started it and was liking it. Around ep8 I forgot to continue because I was busy and stuff. And was reluctant to pick up again because I was less interested to do so. I believed I've been spoiled enough about it and 63 ep was no joke and I was lazy to continue and stuff haha. But recently I've had a drought of drama. Nothing to watch, I've been dropping up and down. and recently I saw it and was like sigh.. I miss the xianxia vibes. like 2024 has not giving us any decent xianxia at all. so i feel I've seen most of good ones so I was like why don't I continue this? ( note: anyone who asked me recommendations I've given them ashes of love because I know the drama is actually good so I have no prejudice against it) So I started it again from ep2 and was really impressed by the progression of the show! For a 2018 show or so the CIG Is really impressive I'm like Woah. Not the best but it's decent fr. I actually like the plot twist I'm getting as they really make sense and fit well into the story in an unexpected manner. I was impressed and enjoyed it. (so far I'm around ep 30 and as expected of a xianxia of 63 ep it's sorta getting draggy for me.. not in terms of storytelling. but not necessarily bad) but I don't think the drama will get unnecessarily draggy because there's lots of Plotlines to look forward to which is nice.
ashes of love is one of the classics in Chinese drama land and I will not deny it and watching it, I'm really seeing why it is well received. it broke records for some reasons. The aesthetics are impressive! the concept of the world building was well planned (the idea of the realms and their connection is lit good) And The angst (which is what I love) is nice and more is getting closer and me is loving it hahaha. I can't wait for how it unfolds. And the Ost of the show is one of the best I've seen so far lolzz Overall the drama is nicely paced for a 63 Eps (I'm around 30 so far and I can see how well it's going) and it's worth it's reputation. I don't know about mixed reviews but I'd personally recommend this show. It's nice
from what I could see I don't think it has a novel. but adapted from The classics of mountains and sea which is like a compilation tale of different beasts in Chinese mythology? not sure sure but something like that. and it's similar to this drama because it follows their journey while they encounter these different beasts from Chinese mythology book of classic of mountains and seas
As much as i love Lusi, i am not a huge fan of the ML 🫠🫠ðŸ«
same. Not a huge fan of LYN but I enjoyed him in long Ballad and Ultimate Note and acknowledge that he's a good actor. So I'm curious to see how things work out here. And the drama isn't heavily focused on romance as it's driving force, it actually has a plot to look forward to
This scene going down 2024 fav scene list because OMFG HAHAHAHA it's giving Lovely Runner that one scene lolzzz
