Really hope May 1st is true, but I wonder what kind of left overs we'd get. Censorship sure had time to butcher the whole thing & especially their love. Like I said: I'd be very happy if this rumor were true, but my hopes that this'll actually turn out good (after censorship!!) are low nonetheless.

Is it a cultural thing? ... There's a lot to say about this drama, but let me name one thing that's probably looked over since it's definitely not "important" for the story: The parents.
It doesn't seem like they adopted a 2nd son, since they don't treat him as such nor does anyone talk about them as brothers, he also adresses them very formally. It seems they only wanted a babysitter for their "real" son or a servant to begin with. Would it be a few centuries back I'd find this less odd, but this is our century.
So is this show just f***up in this matter or is adoption srsly handled like that in China sometimes!?
This show is just so sweet, cute, heartwarming and funny :) I usually prefer "darker" plots (like Manner of Death), but this one surprisingly catched me completely <3 I especially love Off as Ten a lot =)

I feel like this happens a lot. Strong start, weaker end. At least always in one or two aspects. Like they stop caring about details. Be it plot-wise or production-wise. Remember Love in the Air? What happened to the sounds and audio in the end? Phone calls suddenly sounded like they were both in the same room, background music was so loud you could barely hear them talk, music cut of all of a sudden - nothing of this happened in the first half.

My thoughts exactly. Weirdly the chemistry between Pavel & Pooh behind the scenes exists, by what I've seen so far. But in the show something's, like you said, lacking at bit. Maybe that's due to Poohs acting, which I'm not that big of a fan (yet). No idea.
It might be due to my Lhong (TharnType) trauma & yes, they have a long history as friends, but to tell the guy that literally tried to r*** you, you love him (even if he's dying) is... "interesting" 😅
But let's face it, so many shows, movies & manga, novels etc. can't handle that topic well. Best example said TharnType. They even tried to make us feel sorry for Lhong in the end, while the one I felt really sorry for was Tar, especially bc Lhong didn't have to face serious consequences at all. It IS a decent show, but still a 3 in MY OWN ranking so far. Like it or not. No idea what agenda you think you're smelling. And no idea where I've voted CP 9 btw. Kinda tempted to do that now, bc it'd be more than fine had I indeed liked the show. Srsly. What'd it be to you?
And maybe you're rather young or rather new here, but at least try to consider learning to accept different tastes & preferences in shows or movies and how to not judge ppl based on that :)
The show is alright. But nothing too special. Ironically I find the magic of the Original show is lacking in this remake quite a bit?!
But the chemistry in the Original series was also simply chefs kiss :) it was so very heartwarming & I fell in love with them in a split second. I'll forever cherish the first series, but this one will be "just" a decent one among many decent ones for me.

His acting is totally fine in normal moments, he does good with the sweet and/or nerdy parts as well as in the steamy parts ^^ But as soon as it gets dramatic, it's painfully obvious he's new - you can lit see he's trying, but not yet getting there. He probably will eventually, but it's a bummer for this show as it breaks the illusion for me.
But yes, next to Pavel & his incredible acting it's hard to keep up for a lot of actors :) shouldn't be an excuse or future go to tho. Either way, now it is what it is, I hope for the best aaaand will read the novel :)
