Now I love me a good revenge drama with a smart strong female lead, and Glory part 1 didn't disappoint. Each episode had me on the edge of my seat where I had to find out what happens next. Superbly written and acted. I give this a 10/10.
Really why? Spill the tea. This year has not been a good year for kdramas. Dropped almost everything. Luckily,…
Thanks for the suggestions, I will definitely look them up :) And yeah I know what you mean. I think it's rare to come across a strong female lead in Asian dramas period. Jdramas often have the infantile fl you described in their romcom, and teen dramas. Stronger female leads can be found in their slice of life and thriller dramas. Japanese movies also often have older acting female leads.
As far as suggestions I would have to include my favorite drama Ashi girl. It's about a teen girl that time travels to the past where she becomes a foot soldier. She hides her identity as a girl and develops a crush on a prince. When she comes back to present day she finds out the prince historically died, so she goes back in time to protect and save him. It's a great romance, comedy, fantasy with a strong female lead. She's cute and a tomboy in a natural not forced way. Other dramas where I liked the fl are: Okashi no le Todemo no kiss The journalist Hoshi furu yoru ni Fight song

Really childish and silly romcom. It's not funny to me though. The jokes fall flat and the story is bland. It's missing something that I can't put my finger on. Also, no chemistry between the actors and Cha eun woo doesn't fit the teacher character.
Oh can you tell me, if you don't mind, some of the good c-dramas you watched.? There haven't been any good new jdramas either. Every new drama I watch this year has been disappointing :(
Well i kind of agree with you too...it might be just my opinion and my taste but ive seen a lot of good romantic…
Right, there are good romantic dramas out there, I just don't think this is one of them. For example, I recently saw Oh my Ghost and loved it. It was a well written Kdrama in my opinion with great acting too.
Nah, the airing schedule is shit, the drama is not. One among those few romcom kdrama done right this year for…
I agree, I also thought all the Cha Eun Woo fan service was in poor taste. I mean slow mo of him in the shower, come on! It shows the demographic the drama is catering to and it doesn't include me.
Just finished and reading the comments I wonder if I watched the same movie? The boyfriend was the one that got…
She used men to have a place to crash and try and further her failing career. You can see she is broken when her side of events are played and also how the misogynistic world she lives in shaped her, but still... The ml doesn't know anything about her because she won't communicate with him. All he finds out (from outside sources) is she's a cheater and sells her body. You can see why he didn't trust her. The woman slept with her ex in the ml's bed while he was away. You can't get worse than that! She even in the last fight tried to manipulate by saying ml must have cheated too. That was the last straw for him. The fl was not the victim in their relationship, quite the opposite actually.
