I have no issue with sound/music. Where are you watching from? Youtube? I find it usually happens with youtube…
Yes, I'm watching on Youtube. Maybe that might be the issue. I thought it was official WeTV via Youtube. I thought it was odd, you can hear the actors' voice, but the back-ground noise seems to be missing or almost dialled down. Then there'd be music that doesn't quite match with the mood of the scene. Maybe it's me. The earlier parts seemed fine, it's started to go weird from 20 onwards.
Is it just me, I'm struggling to deal with poor sound and weird music in the background. The very slow output of episodes also doesn't help. The only thing worth watching are the main leads. I don't know the book, and only watching as a passer-by, and it feels like a really low-budget production.
夹层 or more specifically 主动脉夹层 is aortic coarctation according to DeepL.
Thank you. That makes sense now! Haven't seen Joan Chen in ages, so nice to see her here. Although I feel she's a little too young to play the doctors' parent...
That's probably what they're guiding us to, since she has already betrayed HZC around 3 times. The NSB are not trusting her for the time being. We just have to wait to see on the outcome.
It should be already clear who is boss zhang if you are on ep. 28.
I think my comment probably wasn't clear. I knew Boss Zhang was the sushi boss but wondered in-addition if she was also YY's sister. I'm on ep 31 now, so we can forget that.
I think you might have mixed me up with someone else. I don't know if she's convicted or not, but she is under investigation. Will no doubt include her associated companies. In the UK, if you have signed documents then you are also responsible. So it depends on the details. I have heard from gossip columns that there were other companies registered to her and she must have signed documents to agree to that. This means she's responsible.
It is complex and not straight forward. Yes, the actors do employ people to manage their tax and business affairs, but regarding destroy her career, you would need to ask why so many companies are so quick to dump her, even before the investigation is underway. I don't agree with it, but this is the way with PR and the cancel culture that's quite prevalent everywhere.

Well I haven't tried, but I have seen plenty of films here rated before it's been aired. Dubious on some as I know some have not been released abroad, so maybe watching illegally or when they visited China.
Either way, something is not right when a drama has not aired and ratings can happen. That leads me to think rating per episode and one rating after watching all episodes are just the same.
I just discovered that Lu Yu Xiao ( A-He) was Shangguan Qian in My Journey to You. I didn't like the character,…
Regarding MJTY, I'm persisting but am finding that drama very hard going. I'm practically limping along to get to the next part. But, it's not to do with this particular character. It's the whole stillness, and samey pace and lack of variety that makes it ploddy. Her sninedy behaviour is in keeping with the direction that's expected of her for the role.
Here, she's in a more junior role and perhaps the director has not given her as much light in her scenes as they want to put it on the other characters. This is common practice. You seen one actor/actress looking dull in another drama, but then very bright and good looking on another.

Possibly you mean they are rating per episode. Some users are then hitting complete. Not sure how it works but I suspect MDL are not separating the two but making it look like rating per episode and rating once completed are really the same.
Either way, I feel it limits people putting so much emphasis on ratings and more on people's comments "after" the drama is completed. Reason I say this is it's usually ratings on first impressions here, usually only first 5-6 episodes. That means some dramas may falter due to this type of rating.
MDL comments will usually have the initial airing type comments and then ones after the airing. Usually, the latter tends to be more true, offering a quick reference for the drama. I think comments are more accurate than overall ratings.
8.1? seriously?? I normally don't care about the rating but this deserve so much more. Great acting, story and…
Most seasoned MDL users know that ratings are inconsistent to those that are not in the know. Generally, idol-led stars in dramas automatically guarantee high ratings regardless. Dramas without them will have more honest ratings. Sadly in some cases, not all, the lower ratings are more real/true to the drama.
I have seen some users that have voted 10 and then 1 on others. I guess, this could be mimicking some toxic fandoms seen in China. Personally, I think MDL shouldn't allow any ratings until the drama has officially ended.
Not just you. I agree about the pacing...I like slow dramas but this one plodded along to a point where I was…
Thanks for understanding as a passer-by's opinion. Yes, I don't have any interest in any of the actors/actresses. I saw the trailer and it looked impressive. I hope the tempo changes and also hope the cliched honey trap story line doesn't drag on for much longer. Seeing GSJ turning is a bit sad and too much for me as of all characters, the character design would tell me he is the least likely one to fall for the obvious. So let's see.
