I hope Darren Chen's character is for Lu Xin, I really like her and don't think Ji Ran deserves her. Also, finding…
I'm like 99% certain he is after watching the trailers for the next eps! Her telling Ji Ran she's going to find another man, a great man, and then he'll be sad he missed out on her, all while our new doctor character is listening and looking very interested in our adorable healer.
Forget what I said NO ONE tops Ji Ran for the most irritating character. I despise 3 types of characters in subordinate…
Don't worry, looks like a new character is coming in to be a love interest for our lovely healer so she can move on emotionally from this jerk. Maybe we'll see less of Ji Ran after, ha.
Episode 12 Differently how lowkey was their Prince that they held him captive but no one recognized him
I thought the same thing! But then remember how he wore a mask in the little bit we saw him in the beginning. Maybe very few of the military ever saw his whole face.
Ooooh, from the trailers, the new guy who from the casting seems to be the "Wuling Mountain physician" (who also seems to know Prince Annan?) is TOTALLY the new love interest for Lu Xin! I am SO glad they aren't going to put her with the surly captain who had to be told not to be a jerk to her by Jin'an.
All I'm saying is one of my favorite tropes is the enemies-to-lovers ML who brings the love of his life the heads of her greatest enemies instead of flowers. I see Prince Annan is still Jin'an, which means vie versa will also be true. I'm SOOOOOO curious why trailers have a scene of him torturing her later. Is it fake? A ploy for the Yao state? Because he would burn the world for her, which is what any good enemy-to-lover would do.
Okay, someone who has read the novel, I know it might be different from the show, but please spoil me about the section when he's "Prince Annan" again, and the enemy part comes back into play. Does he lose his memory of their time together? Cause the clips from the trailers seem pretty dark...like he's torturing her. Like....spoil me about how and why this happens, and then tell me how it comes back around to love again please.
I just watched the trailer(s) for tomorrow and guys, I cannot with this pace. I need all of the episodes right now. AAAAAAHH!!!!! I think we are headed into our Prince Annan era VERY SOON.
What happen with this drama rating? Just yesterday it was 8.2. And imo it's definitely deserves better than 7.…
Right? People are panning it, I think, because Jin'an is "too silly/devoted/immature/etc" for their tastes as a ML. They aren't being nearly patient enough because his other two personas are sooooo not that. Peince Annan is coming y'all. And angst is coming.
I know I know, the low rating because of silly and naive Jin An. Be patience, we will get our red flag DADdy sooonnn.
๐ The fact that people will rate lower because the ML is actually nice to the FL and devoted to her is kind of crazy. But yeah, I'm looking very much forward to when he regains his memories and we get Prince Annan again, who had quite the presence in the tiny glimpse we saw in ep 1. And then I'm looking forward to that intensity mellowing when they both admit they love each other after. Love-hate-love. It's gonna be a ride.
So many things inherently wrong with drama. Brainwashing. A fl taking advantage of someone with no memory. No…
I don't even know how to address this. She's not "Taking advantage of him". She doesn't know for almost like 8 episodes that the blood bond is even there. She thinks she found a strange kid with odd abilities and no memory, who then inexplicably turns into an adult. She suspects he might be a spy, but also knows there is weird magical stuff about him, and he keeps being loyal and devoted to her. They BOTH know and understand that he has no idea who he is, and he keeps insisting on staying close to her. She doesn't agree to keep him close because she wants to abuse his amnesia or the blood bond she doesn't even know about to lure him into a relationship. She keeps him close because 1. She felt sorry for him as both a kid and a confused man, and 2. She wants to figure out if she can trust him. SIMILARLY, he stays because 1. He needs to, he figures out pretty quickly that his weird abilities are connected to her, and 2. He feels loyalty and protectiveness for her, and 3. He also is coming to admire her beyond the magical bond, which I'm assuming will eventually be broken so our leads can realize their feelings are genuine and real. Meanwhile, they are pretty clearly slowly falling in love.
Also....nothing has happened yet beyond him tasting her blood twice in arguably sensual ways. Which HE initiated. How exactly do you think she is taking advantage?
Even without the blood bond, he feels grateful to her for saving him and helping him when he had no one and nothing, and would try to defend her and protect her. Which yes, might lead to him killing some of his countrymen unknowingly. Which isn't her fault.
NONE of what's happened to them is either of their faults, but lies on the shoulders of the very obvious villains introduced in episode 1 who did this to him.
I'm so confused by your reaction. Have you ever watched a romantic fantasy drama before?
Blood ritual is forbidden black magic. ML gets back to adult body after Ep.2
It's just an effect to show the magical blood ritual isn't working quite like its supposed to, impacting his body in unexpected ways. Because he interrupted the ritual meant for his brother, it wasn't done properly.
Has General Li made the connection yet that the blond superhero masked guy is also Jinโan? He hasnโt actually…
She does not know yet! She has suspicions, but in the latest episodes there is a moment where she tries to cover the top of his face to see what he would look like in a mask and he stops her. So she doesn't know.
Well played, show. Well played.
