1 question in episode 2, what was the boy absorbing from the Fl when he was sleeping next to her? Why does she…
I don't remember them sleeping next to each other as early as episode 2, but....to answer your question anyway. They are connected via a magical blood bond, since he accidentally consumed a drop of her blood when he saved her/she found him. Because of this, whenever she is injured and bleeds, her blood calls to him, and her physical presence soothes him and strengthens their bond. For some reason, when she places her hand over his chest where the mark sometimes appears, it intensifies their connection and impacts his abilities. But it all goes back to the magical blood bond.
I cannot WAIT until he gets his memories back and we get that intensity we glimpsed as her enemy Prince Annan.…
Yeah, I'm sure somehow, someone is going to convince him she used him or betrayed him or vice versa. It's okay, we'll get love-hate-love and it will hopefully be glorious and full of layers of emotion.
2 episodes in and I'm SO FUCKING HOOKED UP!!!!! THE CHEMISTRY IS SO CHEMISTRIFYING!!!! note: To the point I abandon…
Oh heck, no! I'm waiting on pins and needles for those episodes to drop in....4 minutes, lol. I love that show so much! But I'm picking this one up, too. Nothing wrong with two great shows to watch!
I mean… this crazy queen chaining her husband—the freakin’ majesty—to the bed through his flesh?? Guurl,…
I kind of felt like that was on purpose. How many episodes have you watched? Because it's pretty clear later that she has some crazy obsession with him - wanted to make him her literal slave...oh, AND take over the throne, of course -- but that "making him her devoted slave" part seemed pretty important to her.
I've been waiting for this drama it seems like for YEARS, but probably about a year. I was more excited for this than for Legend of the Female General. And don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed that well enough, but there are things about it that grate on me a bit that I struggle to look past.
This? This is just good fun. My favorite trailer for this show is the one where she describes his three different personas - devoted Jin'an, the mysterious and powerful Savior, and her enemy-to-lover Prince Annan, and she's like "Why do I have to choose one, I choose all three!" Heck yeah, because he IS all three of them, and let's be real, all three are a pretty terrific combination. I totally get why she falls for him in all of his aspects. (Also, I've been following Cheng Lei since A Familiar Stranger and this is his YEAR, y'all. He's an amazing ML actor finally getting the chance he deserves to shine. This drama totally allows him to show his incredible range. I love it.)
We only got a TINY glimpse of Prince Annan in the first episode before he ran into trouble and became the other two personas, but I can already tell he's going to be intense when he gets his memories back. Yes, please. I'm here for it. I kind of love that this drama appears to be a bit of a reversal of the usual enemies-to-lovers, where they meet not realizing they are enemies and fall in love before they find out.
I've watch the first 6 episodes and only wish more were available.
Who else felt really awful for our cute healer when the Captain coldly rejected her in front of everyone?! I know the story is probably going to put them together, but I want her to find someone else who falls for her and appreciates her, meanwhile he gets over his little crush on the FL and realizes he missed out on the best thing to ever happen to him. But I know how these stories go and that's unlikely. It"s okay. I'm sure I'll enjoy it when he has to put his all into winning her. He BETTER have to.
with Sima Jiao he not demon lord but like Heavenly God while Tingyan is demon. But I do agree I seen lbadf though…
Yeah, I was using "all powerful demon lord" as more of a character type - the all powerful type who has been wronged and will wipe out everyone who hurts the people he cares about, etc.
Just finished episode 15, and almost the whole thing (minus the Ruling stuff) is love story fluff and I LOVE EVERY SECOND. These two are so adorable.
And yes, I know this is the calm before the storm, so to speak, but that's okay. Honestly, I normally go for the more angsty storylines. LBFAD, for example. I've seen people who haven't tried this show try to compare it to that, but really the two are completely different from one another. Not the same at all, beyond the character archetypes of "cold powerful demon lord meets adorable fluff girl and falls in love".
I was NOT expecting my favorite drama of summer to be this lovely, adorable storyline of these two characters falling hopelessly in love.
It was indeed very sweet and sensual. And I’m of the opinion they definitely did it — the new word for having…
🤣 I mean, it FELT like they were implying that, for sure, but the more I think about it, the more I think they didn't. I feel like these two characters, who are actually both SO expressive with their emotions, would have much bigger expressions of those emotions "the morning after". This man is a virgin, right? He's been locked away and tortured for 500 years. She's his only experience with softness and love of any kind, I just feel like when it happens he is going to be so ridiculously soft with her after. His smiles and the way he looks at her now will be even more so.
And since this was a "magical merging/healing" and she didn't MEAN to sleep with him, I feel like she would have been a lot more flustered after if that's what really happened.
I think. But the show is definitely VERY deliberately being vague!
Did anyone else think that was one of the most beautiful and sensual first kiss/first ??? scenes in a c-drama?? The way she was kissing his face, his neck, his lips -- to heal him? Like, she keeps talking about how "maybe he is into me/likes me" when it's very obvious our girl is head over heels for him.
ALSO, it's very vague....like they soul merged or whatever but I feel like they ALSO physically merged, you know, except the show cut away before even really showing him kissing her! Just implied when he grabbed her face and swooped in. And then later when he's asking her if she "disliked it"...I'm like, does that mean what I think it means?? I would think she'd be a lot more flustered if that's what he was really asking her. So maybe he just meant the soul merging/dual cultivating? It's so confusing! Be clear, show. Did they, or didn't they?
Normally I'd be like, "well she was still fully clothed (even though he was...naked??) so clearly nothing much happened" but this is c-drama land where they regularly do everything somehow fully clothed. 🤣
Cast them in BL drama. They have insane chemistry.
I came to this page specifically to find out if this drama was a BL, because I keep seeing clips and reels of the two male leads with crazy chemistry, and have yet to see a single reel featuring the FL. But I'm guessing from comments that any BL vibes are all subtext and the actors just did an amazing job with it.
It is cute that Arthur Chen posted on his Weibo a birthday wish for Wang Yinglu right when the date turned to…
Awwwww! I heard today that Zhao Lusi's trash fire agency made her pass on this project, and even though I love her, I'm glad just because of how much I am LOVING Wang Yinglu in the role. She is adorable and hilarious, and her chemistry with Arthur is *chef's kiss*.
