I'm sorry, but I still don't like Pine and August's story.. Even less after today's episode! I don't know if they are trying to get us to sympathize with Pine and failed or if they are purposely trying to get us to dislike him because Pine just seems like a huge creep to me now.
Him and August just started a sexual relationship, thats it they were very clear that that's what it was. Now though, like days after that, he starts stalking her when he thinks she has someone else and is acting like a possesive jealous boyfriend. He has literally no right to be mad at her. She made him no promises and was very clear on their boundaries. Him stalking her to the restaurant was already creepy enough, but the fact that he stalked her to Peem's house and jumped the fence to try and go 'expose' them is beyond creepy. I don't care if Peem's married and he thinks that she's with a married man / being lead on, its super creepy behavior. This isn't 'I'm in love with you' behavior, this is obsessive 'tie you up to keep you to myself' behavior.
In the future they make him seem all pitiful like she completely destroyed his heart, but honestly I feel no sympathy for him at all. I don't know what they'll do next episode maybe they'll change my mind, I doubt it, but right now I like Pine even less than I already did.
On a different note, the whole beginning of the series, before these flashback episodes, it always seemed like Pine was mourning August and that's why some people thought she might be dead. Even one of The Jungle, I believe it was Hack, said to Irin 'this is the day he lost her' [or something like that] which could be taken as her dying. With the previews showing her in a car with gas filling it and him trying to get to her, part of me wonders if she fakes her death and he thinks she's dead. He does have a really shocked look on his face when she shows up at the end of episode 11, but he would probably be just as shocked if he hasn't seen her for years so it's hard to say. She already cut him out of her life because of what he did, but I feel like something is more is going to happen because this just doesn't seem like enough for the amount of coldness and pain he seems to have in the future.
I'm also extremely sus of Peem and think he's behind the embezzling. Other than that one lady she talked to at the company, Peem is the only one who knew she was looking into this. On top of that because she trusts him she left him alone with her computer and with Pine's interruption it would have given Peem plenty of time to plant shit on there or something to make it look like she was the one doing the embezzling.
Lastly, I just got to say I really hope this flashback ends soon and isn't the all next episode is! It's already been two whole episodes and we only have three left. With the amount of stuff we have to get through, I feel like two episodes wouldnt be enough unless they rush it. We have Florence and Nathee's storyline to finish, Present Day Pine and August's story to get through, we never got a real conclusion to Pladao and Nanfah's storyline, and everyone is really hoping for Hunter's story! On top of that, The Jungle is divided right now so we still need scenes to have The Jungle make up. With only three episodes left, if they use the next episode just for the flashback again then we're going to have two episodes to try and get through all that which I don't think is enough.. I'm going to be really sad if we don't get Hunter's storyline and we don't get a proper conclusion for Pladao and Nanfah 😔

Right that's what I thought. He literally started stalking her and acted like a jealous boyfriend, when she set very clear boundaries. He literally has no right to be angry with her. He just comes off as a creep to me. I don't feel sorry for him at all at this point.

I'm actually really enjoying this series so far. The internal dialogue freaking kills me 😆
I'm not going to lie, I definitely would've preferred the actors normal voices, but the dub doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. It honestly adds to the comedy for me.

Yeah that section is the stories in this series. MDL just makes a main page, this one, but also seems to make individual pages for each story. I think thats why they all say Thai Compilation after.

No, these aren't specials. They are individual original stories, they just aren't a normal series length. Each story gets 2 episodes, so they are basically just movies that are split into 2 45mins - 1hr episodes.

That was exactly what I thought! He talked about needing therapy later and I'm like 'then why did you stay so long!' You easily could've left and had that conversation after they were clothed again 🤣

They mostly only focused on him when Yi was talking to him or was needing him to do something, at least that's how it seemed to me. I could be wrong though.
To me the ones who seemed shady were those two guys during the 2024 flashback engagement scene. Especially the guy on the left.. he just looked irritated to me and it seemed so random to focus on them.

Yeah thats probably why. Especially since in the preview for next week it looks like Hia Yi gets his memories back. I was surprised by that, I didnt expect it to happen so soon! I'm really hoping its towards the end of episode 2 because it feels a little to fast..

Yeah I would've liked that better too. It wouldve given them the chance to better show Hia Yi's attitude change and why Kon Diao is so upset.

In terms of the story, yes it was definitely an introduction / catch up and that didnt bother me.
I just felt like the episode didn't flow as well as it could have. I really liked going back to the bouquet catch scene and then going forward in time through the years until the present. I thought that was very well done, I just feel like it took to long to show us that. It took about 17 minutes before it got to that scene, then we spend about 20 minutes in the flashback, and then the last about 12 back in the present. For me personally, It just felt a little jarring and I wouldve preferred the flashback happen sooner.
I didnt hate the episode, I did like it, and maybe mess is the wrong word.. I just feel like it could've been structured a bit better. That's just my opinion though.

I'm excited for this series, but I can't lie.. the first episode was kind of a mess. I didnt hate it and am still super happy Max and Nat finally got lead roles, but I feel like the first episode could've been better. Still excited for the 2nd episode though.

Anyone else get super distracted when Hia Yi's assistant, or whatever he is, came on screen? Aon I think his name was, my lord he is gorgeous 😍😍

This was definitely weird and I said to myself multiple times 'what am I watching??'
At the same time though, I was so invested in the story! Why did I love this so much 😅

Its blocked in certain countries so it will only show up if you are in a non blocked country or are using a VPN from a non blocked country. I have been using UK London VPN and just watched episode 3.
