I'm sorry, but personally I really disliked this story and I think it's the worst one so far..
The acting was very good and the chemistry is there, but the story and execution was really terrible! I didn't mind the first episode, though I thought it was a little slow moving, but episode 2 just felt like a big mess.
To me personally, it didn't make sense for Phat to be doing these rituals trying get rid of his feelings for his ex, but was then also going on dates with him. I don't know if maybe he was trying to get closure in his own way, but going on dates with them makes zero sense. If he was just going to talk to him that'd be different, but they were calling them dates.. That's a completely different thing..
I also didn't like how everything went down with Mhok. I honestly didn't like either lead in the second episode. Pat irritated me because yes he's heartbroken and trying to move on from his ex, but that doesn't give him the right to kiss Mhok and mess with his feelings. Yes he was drunk, but I don't think that's an excuse especially with how he treated him the next day. He acted like kind of an asshole to be honest! He said he thought that Mhok understood he wasn't ready to open his heart, but they never really talked about it. He said that to him one time, but then the next night he kisses Mhok.. That would confuse anybody. It's not like when Mhok went to talk to him that he came on super strong, so he's assholeish behavior just was uncalled for to me. I feel like it was possibly a defense mechanism because he was scared. Maybe he was starting to feel something for Mhok and as he says later, he doesn't believe in love anymore so maybe that spark of feelings terrified him and he stared to pushed him away.. 🤷‍♀️ It would explain his like complete 180 behavior change and why on the second date he finally seemed to officially put an end to things with his ex.
On the other hand, Mhok was irritating me too! I get that he's in love with Phat, but Phat is literally just out of relationship. Every night he's trying to move on from the feelings for his ex and clearly not succeeding! He's trying to find closure and trying to get their help to get rid of these feelings. The last thing he needs is for one of the people who are supposed to be helping him, trying to get together with him when he still trying to repair his heart. Yes, sometimes finding someone else can help with that, but it can also sometimes make it worse and Phat clearly wasn't ready! He even said that multiple times. I think it was really messed up of Mhok to keep pushing that boundary after Phat already made it clear to him. It did seem to work out in the end, but personally that part really irritated me.
To me it would have been much better to have him confess his feelings for Phat sometime in Episode 1, maybe towards the end, or the beginning of Episode 2. Then, after Phat says he's not ready to open his heart they could have had Mhok be understanding and not push, but still give loving and caring gestures to Phat. They could have even still kept the ex dates stuff and the scene in the bedroom at the end when they both break down. That bedroom scene would have been even more powerful emotionally, if we had this buildup of caring/loving gestures and Phat trying to fight these growing feelings for Mhok since he's scared of love. For me personally, that scene fell flat because we barely got any of the feelings between them. Yes, there was a little moments between them in episode 1 and the first half is episode 2, but it didn't all really start until the last half of episode 2 so it felt rushed.
The irritation I felt for the main leads and the rushed emotions in episode 2 is what lead to me disliking this..
Honestly, the storyline sounded good and it really did have potential, but I just don't think they did a good job with it.

He is so devestated because Ton hates him now, the last thing I see him doing is something that could potentially get Ton to hate him even more.
Maybe Nick just didn't think about it, but all it would take is for Ton to think about how Mew find out about the video. Nick is literally the only one Ton told. The only other person beside him who knew about it is Gap, the one who took the video, and Mew doesn't know him. It wouldn't take much for Ton to put the pieces together and realize who told Mew and that would cause him to hate Nick even more.
Again, its possible he just didn't think about that, but personally I just found it hard to believe that Nick would give this information up when it could make Ton hate him even more than he already does.

Right! Perth in Love By Chance was so perfect and the kiss scenes were amazing!
I've never seen the whole thing, I've just watched Ae and Pete scenes comp on youtube. I adored them though and as I said, Perth was so perfect 🥰🥰
I'm still holding out hope/belief that this was a very odd directing choice. With how good Perth was in Love By Chance and how good Chimon and Perth's chemistry is, I dont want to believe they were just so awkward that this was the best take they could get..

That's true I didnt think of that... However, they've made some questionable choices already so.. I wouldn't put it past them 😑
We'll just have to, as you said, pray this was a directing choice and that they redeem themselves later cause if all kiss scenes are this awkward 😬

Thats exactly what I was thinking too.
Knowing how amazing actors Chimon and Perth are, and knowing there are multiple takes, part of me wonders if the director directed it this way on purpose. Directors have been known before to direct kiss scenes in the way they see it happening, even telling actors to not use tongue because it doesnt fit the moment or whatever. With some actors, you can sometimes see their awkwardness during the lead up to the kiss scene or in other scenes together. With how amazing Perth and Chimon's chemistry has been though, even in NLMG just by looking at each other, its so hard to believe their kiss scenes being this awkward. I cant help but feel like this was less them and more a directing choice, but I guess we'll see in later scenes.

Right!! I couldve forgiven the initial awkwardness cause Sailom wasnt expecting Kang to kiss him so it made sense. As you said though, you could see the moment Sailom's feelings took over. After that moment, the awkwardness that was still there ruined the scene for me.
I cant help but compare this surprise kiss with Why R U Korean Version's surprise kiss in episode 5. That was perfect and done so well!! This kiss, especially from Sailom who is suppose to have had feelings longer, should've been done as well as that..

Does this have a happy ending?

Overall the story was good. It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen either.
It did irritate me that out for 90% of the series Minato is constantly rebuffing Shin's affections, even when alone, and then when he finally starts to get comfortable enough to admit his affections to Shin, or at least stop hiding, Shin loses his memories. I know not a lot of people dont like the Amnesia trope, but I feel like in this case it did help because it forced Minato to be the pursuer in the relationship and I think that that actually helped in the long run.
While yes, for a little bit he did run away because of the pain he was in, I liked that in the final episode he realized that he couldn't be without Shin. I really liked that he told him he wanted to get back together with him before he knew that Shin's memories were back and that he told him, essentially, that he would be the holder of their memories.
Also, Asuka and Shu's relationship was so damn cute! They definitely helped me power through this series.
While this drama definitely wasn't perfect and again Minato did aggravate me through a lot of it, it definitely wasn't the worst. I wouldn't rush out to watch this again, but I did enjoy it for the most part.
Plus, the small upside there was no stupid love triangle like they usually do. They did have that one small moment of jealousy, but it didn't last long so that adds to the pros for me.

I'm definitely going to have to watch it today or tomorrow. I have about 13 shows I'm currently watching, 1 of which ends today, and alot of them air Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Plus I have FirstKhao's livestream I bought a ticket for that is on Saturday at 1am my time, so my weekend is super busy 😆

I finished episode 10 and now I'm stuck.. I am torn between finishing the series cause I only have 2 episodes left or not wasting 2 hours of my time on a series that has just been a huge dissapointment..
Every time I go to press play I feel very meh and that's not how I want to feel when I'm watching a series.

Has someone invented a time machine yet cause I seriously need it to be next Friday.. right now! Better yet, I could just jump to when the finale aires and binge the rest of this series!
Seriously though, this series is beyond amazing and has far exceeded the expectations I had for it! The acting is beyond amazing, the writing is phenomenal, and its paced very well so far. I love how we're getting little pieces of the future leaking through when Jom draws, but how it keeps adding to the mystery of what's going on with him. Just everything about this series has been so perfect!! Well, except for Robert's existence 😒 He definitely has a purpose and moves the story along, but I still hate his guts and wish he would disappear 😤😡

Yeah 100% would not be able to stand this type of dubbing on a series like Dangerous Romance! I cant even imagine that 😆

It's so nice to find a positive comment amidst all the other ones just repeatedly saying how terrible this is 🙄 Everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion, but its just sucks that the comment section is bogged down with all the negative comments basically just saying the same thing.
The dubbing honestly never bothered me, it just adds to my amusement. Same with the internal dialogue. So many people hate it and can't seem to follow it, me..I find it hilarious most of the time. Especially Luv and Thad's!
I definitely would have preferred their voices instead of the dub, but I'm enjoying the series nonetheless 😊

I cant believe that first, Akira lies to Shin about them dating. To an extent I understand why he wanted to, but I still thinks its messed up to lie to someone about that. Then when he finally does tell him, he only tries two different past memories before saying 'You dont feel the same as me.' 'I think we should go back to being friends until your memories come back.' I'm sorry.. what the fuck! You are only going to try two things, three if you include the date, and then just give up 🙄 I shouldnt be surprised because its Akira, but it is still really disappointing.
I understand this is painful for him, but imagine how Shin is feeling as well. He's feeling jealousy for a guy he doesnt really know and its very clear he is having even small romantic feelings for Akira. He then gets told they were dating only for hours later the guy to say they should go back to being friends until his memories come back, not even letting him say anything.. Again, I understand its really painful for Akira, but Shin is part of that relationship to and should've gotten a say. He said early he wanted to remember, and the best way is by doing things you've done before. Going their seperate ways, so Akira can avoid pain, wouldnt help.
I'll be honest, when I first saw that they did the Amnesia Trope I rolled my eyes and thought it was a terrible decision. Then the start of this episode happened and it forced Akira to be the pursuer in their relationship and I thought that that might actually be a good thing for him since he's usually so uncomfortable showing affection. He was even doing pretty well through most of the episode, but then of course they go and have him be like no we should just go back to being friends.. Uuggh, its so frustrating snd disappointing.

Unforunately, I cant say for sure because I watched it on iQIYI. I do know that dramacool is a popular drama website, so they may have it.

This series was super cute and a lot better than I honestly expected it to be! I went into this not expecting to love it as much as I ended up loving it.. Only because, with only 8 episodes at 20 - 30 minutes each I didn't think there was anywhere near enough time to tell the two couples stories well. To be fair, it did feel rushed in certain moments and if they had done either more episodes or 1 hour runtime, it wouldve fixed that issue. That aside, I think they did an amazing job with the time they had.
I love the fact that the side couple from the Thai version became the main couple of the Korean version. I also really love that they didn't try and replicate the Thai version, they completely made it their own. Even some scenes that were clearly inspired by scenes from the Thai version they still didn't do moment for moment line for line, they made it theirs and I really loved that.
I honestly love both versions for different reasons. For me, it's very easy to see this as a standalone and not compare it to the Thai version too much BECAUSE they didn't just try and replicate the Thai version. Obviously, because of the episode count and the runtime, they didn't get to flesh out the characters as much and that's the one major drawback for me. I still really really loved the Korean version though. And for me, honestly, I like the Korean actors better for the characters than I do the Thai actors. I don't know why, but for me they just seem to fit the characters better 🤷‍♀️
The one gripe that I did have at the end of the series was how they did Sunwoo and Yu Gyeom's ending. I didn't like that they had Yu Gyeom admit so easily to that other guy that him in Doyeon werent dating anymore. Yet, when Sunwoo essentially said 'I can't be with you because you're dating my best friend', he just stays silent and gets upset that Sunwoo confessed to him, but now won't be with him. I was also really hoping that line the Sunwoo said to him, something like 'stop toying with other people's feelings and figure out how you feel.' would've come back in the episode 7 ending scene. It just would have been so perfect to have Yu Gyeom say something like 'you told me to figure out my feelings and I have. I realized that I like you, but now you're saying that you can't be with me'. Or something along those lines... It would've been so good!
The other thing I didn't completely understand is why when Doyeon asked Yu Gyeom if he officially confessed he looked sad and implied that he hadn't. I thought the ending scene in episode 7 made it pretty clear.. With the 10 second stare and kiss, him saying I'm nice to you because I like you, and Yu Gyeom getting upset that Sunwoo wouldnt be with him.. I dont know, that seems pretty obvious to me.
It was also kind of jarring to go from that confession conversation between Doyeon and Yu Gyeom, to then all of a sudden Yu Gyeom's at home and Sunwoo shows up instead of Yu Gyeom seeking out him. It just kind of felt like I was missing a scene or something..
Anyways 😅 Despite my few complaints, I really did love this series so much! It was super super cute 🥰 Both couples had great chemistry and I adored the whole cast, they did such an amazing job!!
