Overall, the story was really cute, and definitely my favorite so far, but I thought Ep2 had a some random moments that really weren't needed. A couple times I was like 'what is happening..' Also, I'm sorry, but personally I found Emmy super annoying most of the time! However, I definitely prefer this type of female character to the 'evil woman' character that can't take no for an answer, that they have in series a lot of times. One thing I didn't understand is how Bud kept making it seem like he didn't understand why people believed his mom or like she was conning people, but then believed wholeheartedly that if he met someone 3 times they were his soulmate. I must have misunderstood something, otherwise it just didn't make complete sense. The other thing that didn't make sense is if Fong is pursuing Bud, the meetings are not a coincidence so he wouldn't have had anything to worry about it anyway. Also, the first time he ran into Korn hiding from Fong, that was a coincidence it's not like he knew he would be there, so I don't understand why that wasn't counted.. Overall, I really love the story and think this is the best one so far, however I do think it could have been better. These two are super cute though!! I'm holding out hope they get a different series together π
The scene where Shang Zhou is trying to get Shun Yu to go to sleep and Shun Yu finally lays down and lays his head on Shang Zhou's arm. He starts talking and it becomes sort of a murmur and those are the subs Gagaoolala has during that mumbling part π Its at about 9m23s.
I'm guessing he maybe saw the guy (his friend or guy he liked) die in a car accident
Yeah thats what I was thinking too. It looked like they were in front of train tracks though and with the look on that guys face part of me wondered if maybe he commits suicide by jumping in front of a train.
I loved the first episode so much! I also really love how unapologetically himself Amane is π That one glimpse of his past though, has me very curious about what happened. I'm guarding my heart because it seemed really sad.. Can't wait for the next episode!
I felt very meh about this special. I didn't hate it and it was cute overall, but some parts just kinda disappointed me. I thought it was stupid to have Lom's mom show up at the beginning of this, but not have her show up at the wedding. We honestly didn't learn anything new having her in the beginning scenes of this. She basically was there to reiterate what we already knew at the end of the series, that she was slowly coming around to his and Nuea's relationship. I thought the point of that was going to be that she was going to show up later and show her support at their wedding, but her not being there was glaringly obvious and made me feel like the beginning scenes with her were completely pointless. I get that she's not the focal point of the story, that their wedding is, but she is still an important point. To not have her there at the end is bad writing in my opinion, they may as well just not put her in this special at all. In my opinion there should have been a scene of her receiving a wedding invitation or Lom telling her about his proposal/wedding plan. They could have then showed her reluctance about the relationship still, maybe even have her show up late to the wedding, but have her still show up there to be supportive despite how she feels. That was my biggest issue with this. The one other part I didn't like was the proposal scene. I thought it was very strange to have Nuea look all upset after Lom's proposal. I understand it was supposed to build tension or something with the audience, but it just looked really weird to have him look upset and then all of a sudden get happy and say 'Yes I'll marry you.' It's different to have someone tear up out of joy and then say yes, but Nuea genuinely looked upset borderline mad and like he was going to tell Lom no, so it was very weird to me. Overall as I said, I didn't hate this and I thought most of it was cute. Personally though, I don't think this special is worth paying for.
it's a tough decision to drop a drama but in my opinion it's totally fine not to finish this one, this is the…
I definitely will π I'm super happy to see that Jung Hae In is the ML π₯° As I said in my previous comment, I really loved what I saw of his acting in this so I'm glad to already have found something else of his to watch! Aside from the currently airing series I'm not watching anything else, cause I usually watch a completed series along with all the currently airing ones, so I'll be able to start One Spring Night in the next day or so π
it's a tough decision to drop a drama but in my opinion it's totally fine not to finish this one, this is the…
Wow, I feel like I dodged a bullet with this one then lol. I'm glad I decided not to watch it because if I had actually spent my time watching this and two of the major issues (the mother and the office creeps) got shitty resolutions I would have been so angry! If you're going to have a parent be that terrible then you need to have them have a good Redemption Arc or have the main character cut ties because otherwise why put the character/audience through all that just have have it essentially go nowhere?? So none of the creeps at the office get in any trouble at all? Does nothing change at the office? Cause if so, that's super fucked up and again would have pissed me off.
In the 3 episodes I watched I definitely felt a baby spark with her towards the ML so I feel like at least in the beginning she felt something for him. I could see though how it could be her loving being loved. She literally just got out of a relationship where she was essentially called plain and boring, so its not a huge leap to say she could've latched onto him because he was treating her so well. That's not to say she couldn't have develop real feelings for him then, but if that is how she acted later [especially the ending with not missing anything about HIM], her actions definitely sets off some red flags. For me, his feelings for her and how he treated her in the beginning were definitely what had initially pulled me into this series. He was super sweet and so damn cute and I loved watching her slowly falling for his charms despite her reluctance. Their mutual love for eachother despite the obstacles that they were going to have to face was another reason why I was interested in this drama. Its very disappointing to know she takes his love for granted and that she basically takes advantage of his feelings for her, even if unintentionally.
Some good things that did come out of me starting this drama. One: I do still love their relationship in the first 3 episodes. It's super cute and sweet and feels very real with how people are when you like someone and are afraid to say it. Two: because of this series I was introduced to Jung Hae In π₯°π₯° He is so adorable and I really love his acting. It's his acting in the hand holding scene and the talk afterward that make me love those scenes so much β€οΈβ€οΈ
I really appreciate you breaking down and explaining alot of what happens in the rest of the series. It put to rest the last few doubts I had about dropping this series. I also appreciate you being so nice to me despite our initial disagreements. Some people can be assholes about the stupidest things, so I appreciate you giving your point of view/opinions to help me see another perspective without being mean to me π
So I decided to go ahead and finally watch it again. t's the drama that solidly got me sucked into the world of…
Yeah I thought that was weird as well. As you said, I thought it was a culturable thing, but you make valid points. It is weird that the ML, who is younger than her, has his own place. Yet she, who can't stand her mother constantly in her business doesn't, despite seeming to have a decent career... Very odd lol. I feel like they had that in just so they had an excuse for the mom to always be around. Also yes, the sister.. I didn't mind her character, but she definitely doesn't understand boundaries. I know part of it, based on my limited 3 episode knowledge, is because they lost their parents and only have each other. Still though, just coming into his house whenever she wants is extremely rude..
So I decided to go ahead and finally watch it again. t's the drama that solidly got me sucked into the world of…
Yeah on top of all the other stuff I wasn't a huge fan of, that I said in previous post, the 'I still remember how much this made me cry - hard.' also kind of helps me decide not to watch this lol. I have never been a big fan of series with sad endings or alot of emotional moments. I have actually checked the end of books, movies, and series before to make sure it is a happy ending because I just don't do well with sad stuff. I will watch them, but I have to really like the series/movie or be super interested in it to put myself through that. For example, I am currently watching a Thai series called I Feel You Linger In The Air that I know is going to rip my heart out, tear it to little pieces, stomp all over it, and mostly likely make me bawl my eyes out when it gets to a certain point in the story. However, that series has been so amazing so far, so it is worth it in my opinion. It does help that the people who have read the book say we will get a happy ending, it'll just be a little bittersweet.. Anyways, sorry I got off on a tangent lol. All I meant to say is for me I don't think this series is worth crying my eyes out over..

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I wanted to give you a proper response, but I knew it would be long and didn't want to do it on my phone so I had to wait till I could get on my computer lol.
Honestly, I do love the build up, but I'm not actually not a huge fan of couples getting together at the end of a series either. I don't hate it and I do still enjoy series that are done that way if they are done well, but honestly I prefer series where couples get together probably about half way through the series. I think midway is perfect when it's done right because it gives a good amount of time for the build up of feelings, but still enough time to explore their relationship after they've gotten together. As you said though, sadly it is more common for a couple to get together close to or at the end of a series.
For this series specifically, I honestly think they got together at the perfect time. The build up, though it was only 3 episodes, was done very well and the tension was so high between them. The hand holding scene at the end of episode 3 / beginning of episode 4 was executed so perfect and I had so many butterflies in my stomach when she grabbed his hand π₯°. I loved that scene so much and have honestly already rewatched it multiple times because it was so perfect lol
It wasn't really the fact that they had already gotten together that bothered me, I didn't mind it and was actually kind of happy because I don't think I could've taken much more of their tension filled scenes lol. I guess what bothered me was that I had 13 more 1hr10minute long episodes and almost all the synopsis were filled with drama, obviously. I don't mind drama added on to love stories because it adds to the realism of their story. For me the reason why this series' drama made me want to stop watching was for two main reasons.
One, the motherπ It had only been 3 episodes and she was already driving me insane to the point where I was already skipping her scenes to avoid further annoyance. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is insufferable asshole parents who think they can decide everything about their child's future and not care at all if it makes them happy or not. Sadly, it seems to be a popular trope.. Though I haven't seen it, through reviews I've read people have said the FL lets her mother dictate her decision and that is what leads to them breaking up and that just irritates me. I do understand that cultures are different and maybe that is why I don't understand completely, but I just don't get why you would let anyone ruin your happiness even if it is your own mother. He is a perfectly respectable man who treats her, at least as far as I'd seen, very well. If I had someone who treated me the way he treats her, I wouldn't give that up for anyone. Now again, I haven't seen the rest of it, but knowing something along those lines happens and that I would have to deal with her mothers scenes was a big reason on why I didn't want to continue this.
The other major reason was the drama/issues inside the series itself. None of the major drama/issues in the series they had introduced kept my attention. The major plot point, the age issue, I just personally didn't get. Part of it was because by episode 3 I still wasn't completely sure of the ML's age so I don't know how large their age gap is, but for me I don't think age difference is a big deal once you are older. I know for other people it's different so I can see where the FL is coming from, but for me personally it just fell a little flat. I'm sure it came up later in the series, but it would make more sense their friends being angry they are dating their sibling and less about the age difference. The ex issue just got old fast. He was so damn annoying, but I understood how they wrote the character. I assume he is someone who doesn't get alot of attention usually so when the other girl dumps him he falls back on the FL because he feels it is his only chance. I understood that, though he still annoyed me to know end. What I didn't get was why every time he said she was a cheater on him with the ML, why she just let him say it. I think she stood up for herself a little, but She could have just lied and said "I'm not a cheater I started dating him after you." or something along those lines. I also don't get why he couldn't come to that conclusion, but he is clearly unhinged lol. Regardless, even though it had only been 3 episodes I got tired of seeing that ex's face π Last drama/issue I can think of is the office creeps. The office skeezy creeps issue just felt like filler to add drama/time to the series so they could extend the length. Unless it comes up later and the ML helps with it, it didn't really pertain to the major plot so it seemed pointless.
I know this is already super long and if you don't read it all I understand lol, but with me not really liking any of the major issues in the series it didn't feel worth it for me to sit through all of them just to get glimpses of their moments together. Then on top of all of that, as you said, the ending was handled poorly. I did spoil that for myself when I was trying to decide if I wanted to finish it and I was like, this is it.. After all that, this is all we get for an ending... And again, it kind of solidified in my brain that this series might not be worth my time. I know so many other people loved it and thought it was a masterpiece, but for me personally I just don't think I'll like it.
Not gonna lie, your explanation on how you felt while watching this drama just further helped me decided not to finish it π I don't know if I want to go through all those emotions for a drama I feel meh about lol.
Surprisingly I really loved this series! Though yes, I would have preferred the actors original voices, the dubbing didn't bother me. I actually found the dubbing hilarious and it added to the comedy, especially the inner voices. One of the things that brought my rating down for this was Thian's character. My lord was his character annoying! I had to put his scenes on x2 speed because I just couldn't sit through it. I also hate how his character was just like one big mockery of someone with disabilities. I understand that he was putting on a show and that it was all fake, and maybe that was the whole point and why he was overdoing it, but personally I just really hated that. Another thing was that the ending definitely felt rushed which sucks because this had been a really good story plot-wise so far, at least in my opinion. If this series really did originally have 10 episodes planned I feel like that would have been much better. It would have given them more time to build Thad and Luv's romance, because I feel like it had just barely begun, while also giving more time to delve into the family's past. But I guess there's no point in dwelling on what could have been.. Regardless, as I said I really did enjoy this series despite some of the flaws it had. Even though I'm definitely in the minority, I actually would love a S2. I personally loved all the characters, aside from Thian obviously, so I would love a S2 with someone else as the main couple. I know they showed Butler Sin get a key at the end of the finale, but honestly the main person I want to see find love is Inn. He was probably one of my favorite characters and the unrequited love he felt for Luv was so sad, I just wanted to give him a big hug π₯Ί I would love a series where he finds someone else and moves on!
This is by far the best story so fae in my opinion. The two leads are super cute together and I'm so excited for next week to see the conclusion to their story!! I swear at least you don't end up together I'm going to riot π€ I'm honestly going to be sad when this one's over π₯Ί Hopefully these two end up getting cast in another series together!

Could you explain why there are 6 episodes now instead of 10? I'm a little confused
I know right! There was even that one scene where he finally had the chance to check a lock and didnt just to snoop in his notebook! Like thats all he's cared about this whole time and all of a sudden a random notebook is more important π I thought that part was stupid lol I haven't watched episode 5 yet, but I feel there is alot to resolved on top of the added plots they introduced in episode 4. It just doesnt feel like enough time to wrap up the story well. Which sucks because despite a lot of other people not liking it, I've actually been enjoying this series. The dub doesn't bother me I find it amusing and I've actually found the plot very interesting, so I hate that it's going to be a rushed ending π
Could you explain why there are 6 episodes now instead of 10? I'm a little confused
Oh ok, I didnt know that. I feel like it'd be better to just leave it blank, put unknown, or put a ? until they know to avoid confusion. Regardless, that means that the writers are really bad with pacing because they're introducing major plot points so late in the story that its definitely going to be rushed.. Seems like a bad choice on their part.

Regardless, that means that the writers are really bad with pacing because they're introducing major plot points so late in the story that its definitely going to be rushed.. Seems like a bad choice on their part.
