This series may have some flaws, but overall I really like it so far and am so happy MaxNat got a lead role 😊 Not gonna lie though, for some reason I had a hard time following episode 5..
it's a tough decision to drop a drama but in my opinion it's totally fine not to finish this one, this is the…
Thank you for your opinion, it really helps. Yeah, when they got together at the end of episode 3 and I saw there was 13 more episodes that were all over an hour long I'm like this is definitely going to be draining to watch. Honestly, my personal opinion is that if they were going to have them get together by episode 3 I feel like this should have been at max 8 episodes.
Knowing we have to wait 2 weeks for episode 9, I think I'm just going to wait and watch episode 8 next week like I normally would have if it hadnt gotten leaked. I think I can take a week of torture, but two weeks is just too much for me 😅 Especially since I know what's happening in this episode 🥺
Everything about the was amazing!! This is the perfect childhood best friends to lovers series I've ever seen and everything I've always wished for!! They did this so perfectly and the story was so well written and thought out! Plus, the two leads were so cute together. The unrequited love was so painful to watch, but it had such a beautiful conclusion. I love that they flipped it and had her feeling the unrequited love for the last episode, helping her understand everything he went through during those 8 years. Not that its her fault she didnt feel something for him at the time, but I definitely feel it was necessary to help her realize her true feelings. I also love how she still felt the need to apologize for what he went through and wished she'd realized sooner. I just think thats a beautiful sentiment, loving and caring for him so much that she wishes she could have realized sooner so he didnt have to go through that pain for so long. I adored this series and all the characters so much, even the side characters. Despite wishing I could've gotten more time all of them, I'm also glad they kept this the length they did. I feel like this was the perfect amount of time to tell this story and tell it well without dragging out the drama. I wouldn't have minded maybe one more episode so we could've seen them act sweet together after the 4 episodes of pain, instead of getting just the one 'bonus track' scene at the end. Even without that though, I still really really loved this series! I already want to watch this again!
I'm so torn on if I want to finish this series or not. I really love the love story between the two of them, but I don't like anything else. There are only like 2 or 3 side characters I kind of like, other than them no one has left an much of an impression on me unless its me hating their character.. Honestly, other than the scenes that show them falling for each other or just being sweet together, I've pretty much been annoyed the rest of the time. After reading the synopsis for the rest of the episodes, I know my anger/annoyance is just going to get worse over the course of the series which doesn't make me really want to continue watching it.. I've also had the ending already spoiled for me so I know that it's a rushed ending which also doesn't make me want to finish it.. Part of me is tempted to just fast forward to all their sweet/cute moments because I really do love these two together, but I don't know if I want to waste my time watching the rest.
Could you explain why there are 6 episodes now instead of 10? I'm a little confused
I'm honestly not sure myself.. I do remember when I first started this series that MDL said 10 episodes. I think it was updated at episode 3 or maybe epispde 4 to 6, but I'm not sure why. There are only 2 reasons I can think of: 1, MDL just made a mistake on the episode count and somehow didn't realize it until a couple episodes in. or 2, the company producing the series saw that this was not doing as well as they thought so they cut four episodes. I've heard of this happening before specifically with a series called Second Chance. Though with that series, I've heard some people say it was because it wasn't popular and other people say it was because of covid.. not sure which is true. Regardless, I can't say anything for certain because I'm not 100% sure myself. If they really did cut episodes though, it sucks because while a lot of people don't like it I'm enjoying the series and I hate that the ending is going to be rushed now..
I know I'm in the minority, but I've actually really liked this series so far and the dubbing doesn't really bother me I just find it amusing. What is super irritating, and I have to put on like x2 speed to get through, is Thian. His character is so damn annoying 🙄 Regardless, I'm honestly sad it's going to be ending next week. I could have sworn when I first started this that there was going to be 10 episodes, but now it says 6 so sadly 4 must have gotten cut. Which really sucks because if they initially planned on 10, this ending is going to feel rushed now.
I don’t often like shipped couples doing many series together, but I do pray Ja and First get one more chance.…
Yeah, sadly as far as I know Ja isnt acting anymore. I dont know if its period at all or if he is just taking a break, but I'm pretty sure people said this was their last series together 🥺
I didnt hate this series and I have definitely seen series that are worse than this one, but it wasnt the best.. I thought it was decent and good for maybe a one-time watch, but personally I wouldnt watch this again. Joong and Dunk did a great job with what they were given and though so many people hated Dunk's acting, I didn't think it was a terrible as other people said. For me though, this series will always just be one big disappointment. As I said, there are definitely series that are worse, but this series had the potential to be amazing.. They pitched a story of Zo being inlove wih Nita and getting Joke's help to win her over, but ending up falling for Joke instead who harbors a secret crush on him. Thats the story that I wanted to watch and what I was so excited for!! Instead we get like 5 episodes of that, with barely any flirty/romantic moments to explain Zo's sudden feelings, and then just a bunch of random problems that they added in for time fillers.. To pitch that as the storyline in the trailer and then almost complete that storyline in 4 episodes and have Zo already acting on feelings for Joke is absurd. They could have had him realizing he was developing feelings Joke at episode 4 or 5 and get torn between the feelings he's always had for Nita and the ones he's starting to have for Joke. But to have him already acting on feelings he's barely had time to have in episode 4 when they've only barely just started to talk is stupid to me. When done right, slow burn stories can be amazing and I feel like this would've been one of them. I'm just so sad it wasnt what I thought it would be.. I honestly believe if they had kept with the original Joke helping Zo storyline for at least 6 episodes and have Zo's feelings build up over the course of those episodes, this series would have been much better. I guess we'll never know now though 😔
It's not really that I found this series boring but...I think illogical is the word that I'm searching for. Some…
I didnt like the scene with the dad either. He says all this terrible stuff about Joke, Zo defends Joke saying he isnt like what his dad thinks, and then we get a hug and suddenly its all ok. What the dad said about Joke was messed up and he didnt even really apologize, he just said 'Im sorry if you ever thought I didnt care about you'. That hug and saying I just care about your future, doesnt make up for the horrible things he said. Especially, if Joke's reaction to going home is anything to go by, he has been doing that his whole life.. The whole parental trauma they both had was added in too late in the series and resolved too fast for it to make for a good addition to the story. If they had introduced those problems earlier and had small moments through the series that reiterate those feelings, the ending "emotional" moments with the parents wouldnt have fallen so flat for me. That's one of the biggest problems I had with this series, is all of these small random problems the popped up and then resolve the same episode. I don't mind issues resolving quickly if it's done well, but unfortunately in this series it wasn't. To me it just felt like a random mesh of issues they added in because they got Joke and Zo together too fast and they needed to fill time. If they had made more of the series about what the trailer said it was going to be about instead of finishing up that storyline in essentially the first three episodes, I think this series would have been a lot better.
Not gonna comment on the drama but the pilot trail was far more interesting i really wish they could have used…
Right! I will never forgive them for taking out that kiss scene where Joke asks Zo if he's ever kissed anyone and Zo's like 'wait a minute. dont tell me you are teaching me that' and then they kiss.. I loved that scene from the pilot trailer and was so depressed it wasnt used 😭 This whole series depressed me because it had the potential to be so amazing and I was super excited for what I thought it was going to be. But then they only ended up using the plot from the trialer in like 2 damn episodes 🙄 So sad 😔
I'm sorry, but personally I really disliked this story and I think it's the worst one so far.. The acting was very good and the chemistry is there, but the story and execution was really terrible! I didn't mind the first episode, though I thought it was a little slow moving, but episode 2 just felt like a big mess. To me personally, it didn't make sense for Phat to be doing these rituals trying get rid of his feelings for his ex, but was then also going on dates with him. I don't know if maybe he was trying to get closure in his own way, but going on dates with them makes zero sense. If he was just going to talk to him that'd be different, but they were calling them dates.. That's a completely different thing.. I also didn't like how everything went down with Mhok. I honestly didn't like either lead in the second episode. Pat irritated me because yes he's heartbroken and trying to move on from his ex, but that doesn't give him the right to kiss Mhok and mess with his feelings. Yes he was drunk, but I don't think that's an excuse especially with how he treated him the next day. He acted like kind of an asshole to be honest! He said he thought that Mhok understood he wasn't ready to open his heart, but they never really talked about it. He said that to him one time, but then the next night he kisses Mhok.. That would confuse anybody. It's not like when Mhok went to talk to him that he came on super strong, so he's assholeish behavior just was uncalled for to me. I feel like it was possibly a defense mechanism because he was scared. Maybe he was starting to feel something for Mhok and as he says later, he doesn't believe in love anymore so maybe that spark of feelings terrified him and he stared to pushed him away.. 🤷♀️ It would explain his like complete 180 behavior change and why on the second date he finally seemed to officially put an end to things with his ex. On the other hand, Mhok was irritating me too! I get that he's in love with Phat, but Phat is literally just out of relationship. Every night he's trying to move on from the feelings for his ex and clearly not succeeding! He's trying to find closure and trying to get their help to get rid of these feelings. The last thing he needs is for one of the people who are supposed to be helping him, trying to get together with him when he still trying to repair his heart. Yes, sometimes finding someone else can help with that, but it can also sometimes make it worse and Phat clearly wasn't ready! He even said that multiple times. I think it was really messed up of Mhok to keep pushing that boundary after Phat already made it clear to him. It did seem to work out in the end, but personally that part really irritated me. To me it would have been much better to have him confess his feelings for Phat sometime in Episode 1, maybe towards the end, or the beginning of Episode 2. Then, after Phat says he's not ready to open his heart they could have had Mhok be understanding and not push, but still give loving and caring gestures to Phat. They could have even still kept the ex dates stuff and the scene in the bedroom at the end when they both break down. That bedroom scene would have been even more powerful emotionally, if we had this buildup of caring/loving gestures and Phat trying to fight these growing feelings for Mhok since he's scared of love. For me personally, that scene fell flat because we barely got any of the feelings between them. Yes, there was a little moments between them in episode 1 and the first half is episode 2, but it didn't all really start until the last half of episode 2 so it felt rushed. The irritation I felt for the main leads and the rushed emotions in episode 2 is what lead to me disliking this.. Honestly, the storyline sounded good and it really did have potential, but I just don't think they did a good job with it.

love this and desperately rooting for Ton and Nick but like just because i love the actors lol. also im weak for…
Yeah, it felt out of character to me as well. He is so devestated because Ton hates him now, the last thing I see him doing is something that could potentially get Ton to hate him even more. Maybe Nick just didn't think about it, but all it would take is for Ton to think about how Mew find out about the video. Nick is literally the only one Ton told. The only other person beside him who knew about it is Gap, the one who took the video, and Mew doesn't know him. It wouldn't take much for Ton to put the pieces together and realize who told Mew and that would cause him to hate Nick even more. Again, its possible he just didn't think about that, but personally I just found it hard to believe that Nick would give this information up when it could make Ton hate him even more than he already does.
This ep made me go back and watch the locker room kiss from Love By Chance, LITERAL GOOSEBUMPS! So good!!
Right! Perth in Love By Chance was so perfect and the kiss scenes were amazing! I've never seen the whole thing, I've just watched Ae and Pete scenes comp on youtube. I adored them though and as I said, Perth was so perfect 🥰🥰 I'm still holding out hope/belief that this was a very odd directing choice. With how good Perth was in Love By Chance and how good Chimon and Perth's chemistry is, I dont want to believe they were just so awkward that this was the best take they could get..
Right!! I couldve forgiven the initial awkwardness cause Sailom wasnt expecting Kang to kiss him so it made sense.…
That's true I didnt think of that... However, they've made some questionable choices already so.. I wouldn't put it past them 😑 We'll just have to, as you said, pray this was a directing choice and that they redeem themselves later cause if all kiss scenes are this awkward 😬
Right!! I couldve forgiven the initial awkwardness cause Sailom wasnt expecting Kang to kiss him so it made sense.…
Thats exactly what I was thinking too. Knowing how amazing actors Chimon and Perth are, and knowing there are multiple takes, part of me wonders if the director directed it this way on purpose. Directors have been known before to direct kiss scenes in the way they see it happening, even telling actors to not use tongue because it doesnt fit the moment or whatever. With some actors, you can sometimes see their awkwardness during the lead up to the kiss scene or in other scenes together. With how amazing Perth and Chimon's chemistry has been though, even in NLMG just by looking at each other, its so hard to believe their kiss scenes being this awkward. I cant help but feel like this was less them and more a directing choice, but I guess we'll see in later scenes.
God the flashbacks feel so patronising… “Look viewers, they’re kissing! This is important because of these…
Right!! I couldve forgiven the initial awkwardness cause Sailom wasnt expecting Kang to kiss him so it made sense. As you said though, you could see the moment Sailom's feelings took over. After that moment, the awkwardness that was still there ruined the scene for me. I cant help but compare this surprise kiss with Why R U Korean Version's surprise kiss in episode 5. That was perfect and done so well!! This kiss, especially from Sailom who is suppose to have had feelings longer, should've been done as well as that..
Not gonna lie though, for some reason I had a hard time following episode 5..

The irritation I felt for the main leads and the rushed emotions in episode 2 is what lead to me disliking this..
Honestly, the storyline sounded good and it really did have potential, but I just don't think they did a good job with it. The actors did really amazing with what they had though, they were both phenomenal!
I've never seen the whole thing, I've just watched Ae and Pete scenes comp on youtube. I adored them though and as I said, Perth was so perfect 🥰🥰
I'm still holding out hope/belief that this was a very odd directing choice. With how good Perth was in Love By Chance and how good Chimon and Perth's chemistry is, I dont want to believe they were just so awkward that this was the best take they could get..
We'll just have to, as you said, pray this was a directing choice and that they redeem themselves later cause if all kiss scenes are this awkward 😬
I cant help but compare this surprise kiss with Why R U Korean Version's surprise kiss in episode 5. That was perfect and done so well!! This kiss, especially from Sailom who is suppose to have had feelings longer, should've been done as well as that..
