It’s so hard to say. The Bi’an si folks do show up later in the novels too so I have no idea how they’ll adapt things.

I haven't read the novel in detail, just skimmed. And I can't find book 5 except for someone's audiobook they made of it lol. It was so long that I couldn't finish it. But no mention that I know of of him being a demon or anything of that sort. Of course, maybe the writing team have knowledge or have talked to the original author since the 6th book is currently being written.

Eek, I think I'm going just wait for all the rest of the episodes to drop and then binge. Too much stress waiting...

Fun to see it's the FL here that is the stoic, over-powered one while the ML is the chaotic one (but an equal in his smarts as he can outsmart her).
