The original novel is not finished (I haven't been able to find all of the the current 5 books online); the author is currently working on the last book (6). From what I have been able to read of the novel and watch of the animated version, there is an understated romance between the two characters. How the drama will adapt the story is anyone's guess at this point.

There probably isn’t a big booting ceremony - I don’t think the director typically does that. They’ll start filming on 8/11 and hopefully DW will have time to meet with the fans after filming for that day is over.

I got bored and started to edit and fix the cast list as there are some errors: I can't find the actor in MDL who is playing Gan Jiang. His name is Wang Bing Xu (王炳旭).

ML and FL are still in their will-they-or-won't-they phase. SFL (Fu Zhi) and ML's right hand man Shen Zhi Shu are sweet on each other. Di Nian likes Shen Zhi Li, but she views him as a brother (as of now). I get vibes that Yin Qing likes FL.

Also we have creepy Right Chancellor (Gu Qin, aka Ling Yun Fei's older brother) who has a thing for his student Shen Zhi Li...

What makes Ling Yun Fei suspect that MTH murdered his beloved lady? She wasn't even there until she was already dead. This guy isn't super bright.
