The crew just went to Hengdian after filming for the past 2 months in Puyuan and surrounding areas, so I doubt they are almost done. Deng Wei said he'd be filming through Dec I believe. Of course, things do change sometimes with filming, so we'll just have to see.

It’s not in the published books. Maybe in book 6, which is being written now. My guess is the writer of the books probably has communicated with the drama team where the story is headed. It’s also possible that the scenes you were asking about are an original creation of the drama. Hopefully it’s the former, because I can just imagine when book 6 is out what a mess that would be with book fans vs drama fans, etc.
