I think it is just he himself gets to restart. At least that's what it seemed like. Don't know if in the future…
I agree it is not well portrayed on screen. He dies, is in the coffin. The AI thing "restarts" but nothing is restarted lol except that he lives again. How he survives is explained by LSF (who gave him some magical pill thing that allowed him to survive). This offscreen stuff is better shown on screen in my opinion. Or, they should commit to the whole "restart" and I don't know, restart to a certain time in the past (but maybe not all the way back to the beginning as that would be tedious).
This is more of an ensemble piece but with Cheng Yi as the main lead. There isn't a female lead in the traditional…
Yeah, Gulnezer is playing the ML's sister. Although an adopted sister, it would just not be appropriate to have any romantic storyline between the two in this type of drama.
Yes, there are hints of a romantic storyline between ML and Tang Fang. We'll see how far it goes.
Ep 13 and 14 were painful to watch. Xiao Yiren has poor leadership skills. Even if he didn't believe what his own brother was saying, he should at least investigate things thoroughly because the possible consequences are dire (if Qiushui is correct, which of course he is). UGH.
He read them but did not understand them I think. Or at least he did not read the classic ones well (he can’t remember the details). He’s into these “new age” wuxia stories or rather, he is eager to write the type of story we saw in the beginning with the overpowered male lead lol. I think he will learn as he goes on. I hope. Or else we have all wasted our time 😂
The competition kinda stopped the development of the drama, both the politics and romance, in exchange for a predictable…
Yes, the politics and palace stuff are very underdeveloped, but I think the highlight of this show (for me anyway) is the food - the history behind dishes both cultural and personal.
Not sure yet. After ep 4, we are to suspect ML's old neighbor (the son Park Min Jae), but I'm not sure if it's him. I never watched the original French show, so don't know who it is.
There’s not a great amount of logic in the way this police team is operating, but I’m still interested enough in this story to find out who is the copycat and so forth.
This may not be the most sophisticated production or the most ingenious script, but it's been a fun show so far. Cheng Yi has always been a great performer to me - no matter what the story is, he has good screen presence and brings you into his character easily.
I'm pleasantly surprised by Eleanor Lee. I've only ever seen her in Fake Princess before (which is a totally different character lol), but I like how her character here is stoic, direct and courageous.
