Did you see my comment? It’s like lunatics Central over there. But it’s still good even though it’s nuts.
Oh yes, the actor is terrific. I want to see how more crazy we can get. Looks like the princess is going to take after him and go cray cray soon too based on those previews.

Yeah I saw your comment lol. I’m usually ok with suspending disbelief in these types of period idol dramas, but when Yixiao started berating the emperor, I just had to laugh, it’s too ridiculous. She is right though. Emperor is nuts too, which is a shame because I liked the actor’s performance so far - layered and complicated. But unfortunately so nuts apparently.
Umm...whoa. The script has turned into crazy mode. Wonder how this is going to end. It would be a shame for things to really go off the rails, but everyone (besides the leads) seems to have gone INSANE.
ngl her as ranran is annoying does she get better?
Once she recovers her memories, her two personas merge into one, and I think it’s a bit less jarring and cutesy. I encourage you to stick with it because it’s one of the best of the year in my opinion - such a positive message of learning to forgive and learning to love.
This drama would the best LiQin 's drama so far. Her acting and her martial art fighting skills are excellent.…
I remember CZY in handsome siblings. That’s literally all I’ve seen of him until this drama. I agree his acting is pretty good - he’s not my type of handsome but he makes a great Feng Suige in this drama.
List of deplorable people growing as the episodes go by lol. Man, this Xia Jingyan is a piece of work. And Empress of Susha is whack based on that preview.
The Prince is a mega-evil person who has been doing horrible things (or planning to do them). The Princess is…
I feel like XJS has deceived even himself like any narcissist. He truly believes what he is doing is for the greater good when in fact it is just for himself at the cost of many innocent lives.
Xiyang is definitely not anywhere near his level of depravity, but I don't think she can be viewed as completely innocent now. She's preparing to betray her family and her country over, as you said, the wrong person. I guess if I were to choose between the two of them for a redemption arc, she's definitely (as of now) not as far gone as he is.
Side comment: I know it's pretty common in these types of stories, but man, these royal families are big piles of poo.
