It’s such a high profile drama that I can’t imagine that iqiyi would just let it go without at least trying to figure something out. What’s more difficult is if there are major creative differences.

I think it’s the author’s style ( same author as princess gambit). I’m sure the drama altered it.

Yeah it’s too bad he’s developing in the wrong way as a character. But I guess we did see from the beginning he’s a bit rigid in his principles and mindset. I’m just tired of the same old thing every time he’s on screen now.

He’s dubbing himself afterward, so I imagine it can be hard to match the exact emotion of when it was filmed. Definitely could work on that for sure, but I appreciate his efforts to voice himself. It’s a hugely important part of acting.

Yes for sure in the novel. The main characters are not perfect saints but are complex, particularly the male lead. We’ll have to see here what changes are made in the drama…which I hope is filmed well despite what these rumors may claim.

Just for this drama. The production hasn’t been in the habit of announcing things in advance (like when the cast would be announced) or putting out statements to quell the rumors, so there are constantly rumors because it is true the production has taken several breaks from filming since May. As for the true reasons why, we don’t really know. There could be legit reasons like cast scheduling conflicts or whatnot. We’ll find out more one day I’m sure.

Yeah, it would be such a shame that all that hard work was for nought. But this production crew has been mysterious from the start and plagued with rumors and whatnot. We'll have to wait and see.
