It's light entertainment for me, so I'm sticking with it to the end. Want to finally see how everything resolves.

Really interesting so far - genuinely creepy at parts. Reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth a lot - that dark fantasy feel

They both "died" after things went cray in the heavenly realm (Ni Huang and Bai Yan). From what I understood, Bai Yan was able to help her reincarnate as a mortal (Feng Lixue), and he became Mo Xiao.

They met as children, the day Feng Lixue's Dad fell off the cliff and died.

Spoiler/speculation: I am pretty sure he is the previous demon Lord's (Ye Yuan) son - not sure how he ended up with the immortals.

Oof Ep 1 is a bit rough, lands right in medias res to get into the revenge part of the story. Would prefer more set up, but I know it's not that kind of show. Will see how the next few eps go, may drop this since demon hunter's romance is out too.

Is the "fake" Feng Lixue a part of her soul/memories attached to that wolf girl's body?

Definitely progressing solidly by ep 10, plot is moving along.

FL has lost her memories at some point (around ep 5?), so I'm waiting to see when she gets those back to make my final judgment on her character. With her memories lost, she's in a naive almost child-like state for a few eps, which can drive some people nuts. Originally, she's a pretty strong character in their previous life.

This is a pretty typical xianxia story from 2020-2021 (when it was filmed), but it is a classic love story, so if romance is your thing, you may still enjoy this one. The male lead is pretty likable to me.

Yeah, I wonder what Han Dong's character is up to. Can't figure out his plan yet.
