Okay I really enjoyed episode 19, it was entertaining and funny. That being said I'm confused on where the plot…
I mean the breadcrumbs are all there, clear the old Han estate is going to be seen as a model to move kingdom forward for growth and allow everyone to benefit. So it will cause a lot of friction from the noble families who prefer being rulers and see people as their servants / serfs.
I cannot imagine a plot where WR & ML are not together, married. Sure there will be plenty of jealousy & bickering and its funny to see ML throw it back in WR face now as he knows she lied saying she had no feelings.
I am thinking one of the grandmothers is going to die, both have been in poor health.
ep19: are they fighting to prove their merit or to kill eachother? why those arrows were shoot? this is just crazy
Well Han did arrange for them to be fired during their match, that was not planned. It was mentioned the Emperor wanted to see how the generals would defend against the rapid arrow firing.
not the empress and empress dowager forming a whole hater alliance .... like if you're gonna plot, at least be…
But their little plot in the bedroom assumed they knew Han would lose, or throw the match so they could get Roa to his bedroom? Some of scheming just is a little much
EXCUSE ME??? LEAVE BITAO ALONE ....... i was enjoying the drama and then they shot her!!? WHO DO I NEED TO FIGHT????…
I wondered if Roa knew she would have a plot againt her and took her back as a shield? She did double cross Roa, granted protecting her family. Will be sad if she dies but it was a shot right in the chest.
I wish someone would make a family tree for this show, the tournament threw a few more Ladies of the Court and sons into the mix.
- Han & his Mother - The Emperor and his sons, who is their Mother, have they shown her? - Empress, Emperor Mother, aligned to Han's Mother (her Daughter?) - Lady Li courtasan to Emperor, Mother Roa, Roa father died, Her 'brother' did Lady Li have another child with Emperor? - ML Lu family (mother, grandmother, Aunts, Cousins, Duke) - Wei Family (mother, aunts, grandmother, cousin) - Grand tutor (never shown), Grand Tutor Granddaughter - General Qi (ML Friend, Pines for Roa)
I don't recall the names of the other ladies of court, where were all the husbands, you'd think they would come to a tournament like that.
I feel like the reveal of him finding out she’s someone else was really unsatisfying. Like there’s all this…
To be fair, it seems he already accepted she was not the OG Roa he knew, so uncovering how everything happened to get to the point everyone wasn't a big shock to ML. He needed to put together all the people scheming that switched the girls
Why does she need to be a clever vilain? we had Yunfeng for that
The sad thing is Jun Dai was basically used the entire time. I find it hard to believe everyting moved along to get to a point where Lady Li would kill her real daughter. Sadly for Jun Dai she was dead and didn't know it. She should've paid attention to all the scheming and not have outbursts because the guy she refused to marry, got married.
Someone needed to slap her and remind her - you agreed to not marry the guy.
Yes, she needs to make a name for herself and stand on her own instead of depending on her husband or anyone else.…
Was that really a thing in that era though? Most marriages then were arranged when they were kids and based on family status, noble ranking etc. I don't think many woman had a choice nor a 'professional' status. It was a very Male driven dynamic.
If I see him chasing after her, I will be very pissed. She needs to do the chasing.
Well he has the perfecrt woman to throw back in her face with the Tutors Granddaughter who clearly is not shying away saying how she feels. I almost felt like we are going to get a flash forward '1 year later' or something.
The past few episodes have thrown this series, its almost like a mid series ending and reboot. I am not sure Roa is planning but I respect she wants want to make her own path.
The previous episode answered her supposed age (16) which is common for the period, Aunts are in 30s and 'Grandmothers' 50s. A lot different from current era but explains the younger woman having outbursts and acting 'spoiled' as they really are just children.
I am also mixed on how she treated her 'family' she grew up with, granted they have no blood relation and it wasn't a pleasant childhood but its the only family she has.
So far been a well done series, its fast paced and keeps you watching.
Something has been off for me for the last few episodes. I don't know if it's just the editing or if it's the…
Perhaps she DID have training be it someone watching over her or by her nature wandering around picked things up along the way. Becoming a noble and knowing the interactions and behavior expected by status & relation is the hard issue that would take years to grasp and understand. Someone raised as a lady of high standing and someone acting like one as just totally different.
A Chou is definitely a brand of cunning that I'm not sure how I feel about. I definitely understand that she's…
Coming from a poor background, it would be natural to scheme and have a plan to 'stay alive'. Remember she was about to be thrown in prison, killed for the earlier incident. I don't view her a evil like OG WR as she has no good in her. Everything is fake and she schemes to get what she wants like a spoiled child.

So are the other ladys in court all attached to the Emperor? This is why a family tree would help understand the connections / relationships.
- Han & his Mother
- The Emperor and his sons, who is their Mother, have they shown her?
- Empress, Emperor Mother, aligned to Han's Mother (her Daughter?)
- Lady Li courtasan to Emperor, Mother Roa, Roa father died, Her 'brother' did Lady Li have another child with Emperor?
- ML Lu family (mother, grandmother, Aunts, Cousins, Duke)
- Wei Family (mother, aunts, grandmother, cousin)
- Grand tutor (never shown), Grand Tutor Granddaughter
- General Qi (ML Friend, Pines for Roa)
