the flashbacks… was thinking the same. There is more, but I have 2 moments in mind right now that flashbacks was unnecessary to me : 1) in today’s episodes, the brother and sister-in-law, why using a flashback and showing them when ML’s parents died? we could have seen all of that at the beginning when they were showing this. 2) the friend from school. why use a flashback to explained what he and his father did, also could have been show to us when the scenes regarding what his father « did » and the court moments at the beginning

it's only 23 episodes, they are probably trying to make it air a little longer. Anyway, nothing surprising, Youku can have the worst airing schedule for its drama
