must watch

this drama has many good things
1) beautiful cinematography and beautifully shot (the fighting scenes, in the first ep the arrow scenes before they go back, the dream scenes, the shots with the petals, etc….). Well directed
2) acting was good from the leads. They did well for emotional scenes too. Also the supporting and older cast, I really like the portrayal of the emperor, I think the actor was great. Also other cast from the families of the leads.
3) the romance : it flowed nicely. them slowly falling in love, mature romance, trust, supporting each other. would do anything for each other and so much love. Good chemistry. I think compared to other cdrama, we got plenty of romance and cute moments. Also feeling confessed by ep 18 and married by ep 19 out of ep 34, I think that was very good. Less slow burn than many dramas this year. Absolutely no break or misunderstanding, strong couple till the end.
4) the transmigration/time travel was well written. I think « the dream » idea was very smart to pass censorship and very minimal since it was still obvious for us viewers that it was not a dream and they really went back in time. and only mentioned at the beginning of the story. I hate it when they do something like it was a novel or something, they add that at the very end to pass censorship.
5) I think the drama was well written in general, the plot was good, pretty fast pace, everything was going smoothly. as the story progressed, we were learning more about the villains, getting clues, etc… We got a bit of everything, some comedy, romance, action and more sad/emotional moments. ML and his uncle, mother (the pain from the deaths and seeing the flashbacks). When ML was dying, our sad couples moments, there was a pretty emotional ep, I don’t remember the number ahah but I was sad with the leads, they love each other so much. I think all the villains and their motive made senses. Like the 5th uncles who wanted his higher title (but still cared about the Dou family and his brother. I actually liked his death and I was almost sad. I think it was the scenes, the contexte and his brother/« lover » present. in the end, decided to do one last thing to protect his younger brother). The empress and her son, etc.. I actually enjoyed the political plot, I think it was interesting and I also think the villains were interesting.
6) great fighting scenes
7) Friendship. Between the girls, even the maids. ML and his guys, etc…
8) The character development of FL dad. how their story progressed and their reconciliation. He grow some bones, finally defending his daughter, standing up for his son-in-law (the drums moment), etc…
9) we got some diverse side arc/romance :
a)the sister and husband from the first life : I was feeling sad for Dou Ming. she was an asshole in her first life, but kind and gentle in her second life, she never did her sister wrong. But falling in love with the wrong guy. Not a complete trash in this life, but still a coward, a bad husband and a useless guy. Not gonna lie, they were kinda cute. She suffered a lot and her death was a bit infuriating. Dying like that and seeing her trash husband from afar drinking. Dying alone on the floor when she could have been saved. Anyway, I said KARMA when it happened, their bad deed in their first life and her mother sins. It was satisfying, the mom reaction and everything, learning she caused her own daughter’s dead. It was good how her dad didn’t even want to save her and she should be punished for her crimes. I laughed when he slapped her. Speaking of slapped, there was so many throughout the drama, that was hilarious to me.
b) An Su and Song Han : that arc made me mad. I was very mad at her for choosing/siding with the guy she barely knows against her friends for years. She was very stupid and easily manipulated at first. Their story was not interesting and making her a princess made no sense as she was literally a nobody/commoner. At last, it was satisfying when she learned the truth and killed him herself.
c) Chen Jia and Zhao Zhang Ru (FL’s cousin) : brief interactions, but they were very cute. They got their happy ending
d) the little past with the princess (sister of the emperor) and 5th uncle
e) the crown prince and crown princess. brief interactions too, but they were kinda funny at time and seemed like a good match. That was funny when they were the 4 of them and she mentioned the idea of betrothal between their unborn child, CP and ML reaction.
f)…maybe there is more ahaha
10) plot twist :
a) the fact that the dad (ML’s dad had an affair and switched the babies), didn’t saw that coming. How they explained he never loved his wife and the son they had, why he preferred Song Han. It was sad when he said those things to Song Mu. The sister was actually dead it seems, I was waiting for some plot twist and she’s alive + plus reunion, but that never happened. Anyway I think we had enough things going on ahaha
b) Ji Yong who was actually not with Prince Qing, all of this was a plan from the beginning with the emperor
c) the nephew of the empress who didn’t betrayed them
d) even the thing with the cat with Song Han, I think it was good that he was actually keeping the cat because he was using it for testing poison. I didn’t thought of that
e) the scenes when they were searching for the letter with the girl who was the maid, the flashbacks and reliving the scene and the letter that was hiding so close to them.
f) all the villains who were working together
11) villains getting what they deserved and punishment.
12) ending : great and satisfying ending. Closure for everyone and happy ending of course. Cute together and happy couple moments. Dad with his promotion, grandma being happy and travelling, them with the leads daughter was cute. Crown prince ascending the throne and the little monologue about the politics. Chen Jia and the cousin married couple. An Su doing her things and « looking for a husband ». Ji Young who will become a monk in this life too. Even them showing the kid of ML’s uncle
13 : no love triangle. We can say some side guys on liked FL, but that was very minimal, that’s not considered a love triangle. FL only has eyes for ML from beginning to end.

But, I think the kissing scenes weren’t great. I don’t know if it was a director’s choice, censorship or because the kisses were not so good (so they made it that way), but they were somehow disappointing for most of them. Pretty much cut short or we see nothing. The lips touched and them it’s all these camera angles and editing. Anyway just an observation, I wouldn’t call this an issue, I’ve seen way worst.

Also, the character of Mu (I don’t even remember if that’s the good name, but the guy at the beginning who liked FL). I think this character and arc was just completely useless and non interesting. Why did we need this useless side guy who had unrequited love. He personally annoyed me. At least, his presence was short. Even when it seemed like Ji Young liked FL, that was very annoying, can’t they just be friend?

So, to conclude, I would recommend, I think it’s a good watch, filled with romance, actions, intelligent leads, interesting plot and characters

started off good, but went a bit down hill for me

I was looking forward to this drama. I was like « something different » and I like fake dating trope.

I enjoyed more maybe the first half, I think it was funny and I liked where it was going. But around ep 7, I started to loose some interest and became boring for some reason even if I still enjoyed the comedy in general. I think the writing wasn’t that good. The romantic story of the leads became less interesting and not that develop well.

I think the leads have good chemistry and look good together. maybe not enough romance for me.

I also liked :
- the friendship between the sisters
- assistant-ceo duo
- brothers duo
- in general I liked the second couple, but I’m not sure them falling in love made sense with such few scenes. they were cute and think had chemistry. the office date was perfect, when they had matching energy by playing the novel’s character. they had a good ending too
- the fake wedding was beautiful
- ML fake proposal was so cute
- I think the acting was good
- SML coming to save SFL and fighting her dad
- few romantics moments between the leads
- 3FL finally ending her relationship and deciding to raise her child alone (with her sister of course). That relationship was just weird and very uninteresting to me.

SML was a bit annoying but not really

FL’s ex, he was trash. they didn’t give proper closure. what happened ? guy is living happily and getting recognition at work (unsatisfying) and what happened with his wife ? who seemed like a decent and kind person, still think it was trash of FL to not tell her she dated him, he literally dated both of them at the same time and wanted to have an affair with her.

The conflicts between the leads in the last few ep were just cliché and unnecessary… don’t talk to me about the stupid breakup in the last ep and 5-10 min reunion-happy ending. that was trash and lazy writing. Actually, the leads in the last ep in general was bad writing to me. Rushed and unsatisfying ending. The leads dated for real for like 2 sec

And feel like no proper ending regarding the brothers and their father(SML parents I could say too) even second couple and his parents

I personally liked it and was looking forward every week for the new episodes. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but light and enjoyable to me. It was mostly a family healing drama

No big angst or problems and absolutely no annoying love triangle. I think it had some good funny moments and the mystery was intriguing me at first with the landlord death and the dad money.

The young couple :
I actually loved them. I liked watching their scenes and the development of their relationship. I also think they got good chemistry. For me, I think it was refreshing to see a couple when the characters meet for the first time and slowly fall in love. Not friends (when they already know each other or were friends when the drama begins) to lovers or childhood friends like we often see.

The parents :
I was interesting in how their story would turned out. In the end, I think we could say they were both kinda bad parents… but they both know they made mistakes

The families relationship:
- I liked the bound between mother and daughter.
- I like Tae Pyeong and his father : I really like this 2 and their relationship, we could see how they cared for each other and I liked their ending/last scene together
- the brother was annoying most of the time, but I think we got to understand why he was like that.
- the development with the 4 was okay. I liked the scenes in the restaurant where they said they believe the dad.

The ending :
- I liked that the dad became the coach for the kids baseball team. Suitable ending for him
- just like Tae PYeong ending, doing what he likes by teaching taekwondo to kids
- the mom doing her thing and the daughter too. They spend a lot of screen time with the jobs of everyone, but it’s okay. Maybe we could have gotten more romance for both couples
- the son : he matured and looking for a job
- the parents ending: I actually liked it and I think it fits. Her wanting to leave alone for now, I think that’s good. They are still dating and they still live in the same building, so not a problem to see each other often. Maybe later on they will live together again after some time
- the younger couple : it was okay. I found it weird Mi Rae thinking though. She wants to date for the rest of her life ? Doesn’t it also mean for her to keep living alone in the future ?
- the last scene, a meal with the family and everyone being happy and the little bickering, I think it wasn’t bad. I was thinking her boyfriend could have been there. The picture with all of them at end :)

Other comments:
- loved the dog ahah he was a paid actor and so cute
- I think the couple with the hairdresser and the tax accountant was cute
- the neighbors were mostly annoying
- the reveal for the secret behind the money was a bit disappointing, maybe I was expecting a big twist after all the mystery. Like the mystery with what happened to the landlord too
- I’ve seen comments, I don’t think the acting horrible
- I like that it was only 12 eps, I think the flow of the drama was good.

pretty average to me

so, this is definitely not the best short drama I’ve seen and I found it pretty average

the good :
- the idea for the plot is interesting (the virtual world)
- the costumes are really pretty
- makeup and styling are good
- the leads have chemistry
- the kissing scenes were average to me though
- the cinematography was pretty
- the acting was good, the actors did a great job
- no love triangle (I wouldn’t call it that since it was only to use the other person and no love was involved)
- happy ending I guess… we will come back to it
- visual couple. Never seen this ML, but he is really handsome. FL is also very pretty, I’ve seen her before.
- support cast was okay.
- I liked it that ML was also from the real world
- I guess the romance was okay, we’ll get back to it

The cons :
- It was always a bit boring to me, but I was skipping nothing and paying attention for like half the drama, it was still interesting. but around ep 15, when they « won » agains the king, it became even more boring. I was watching at 1,5x and the last 3 eps, I fast forward a lot.
- always the same shitty ending with these kind of drama. Like yeah we know they reunite. we see some guy (who as to be ML), we don’t see is face, FL is smiling, the end… like why can’t they never elaborate. let us see the guy and give us more ? a hug, a sentence, anything really. And it was over for the bad guy in ep 23, they had a whole ep for the ending.
- I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I didn’t feel it the leads falling in love. Made no sense to me. It just seemed so sudden, especially FL. Maybe that why I could really enjoy.
- The actors were great, but I was feeling nothing in the emotional scene
- The beginning was abrupt to me, I was like was is going on, I didn’t even know the plot before starting, I was confused. I stopped and went to read the sypnosis. I started because I read some people saying that the leads loved each other very much and something like that… I ended up disappointed
- well not really a bad thing, but it wasn’t what I expected. ML going kinda crazy and possessive, wanting to force her. And keep hurting each other. Well I get it, it was to protect each other, but anyway. I felt really bad for ML a few times nevertheless

so, to conclude, it’s clearly not the best, but okay to pass time. I think the rating is actually on point for this one

worth watching

didn't even noticed it came out today ahah saw the date here, random watch on Netflix tonight

I wasn't expecting much, but I enjoyed this movie. I read the synopsis and I thought it could be interesting
- I think the idea of the plot in general is interesting.
- the acting was good
- had some funny moments
- For me a bit slow at first and I was waiting for her to find out
- I enjoyed the action and fighting scenes
- I like the part when they rescued the guy. I was like how the hell will they out, but the plan was pretty perfect after all. I'm still sad he died. When he said his wife disappeared after ML stopped working... I was like well damn! but later on it all made sense why it seemed to easy to get him out
- I was truly shocked with the plot twist for the villain, didn't saw it coming
- the ending was okay

It's a good watch to pass time in my opinion, I would recommand

a must watch among short dramas

Chemistry : 10/10
Kiss : 10/10
Breakup? : No
Annoying second leads ? : no (the second leads are the villain and a couple)
Any secondary couples? : yes if we count the villains
Happy ending ? : Yes
Ending : 9,5/10 (for a short drama)
Kids ? : Yes

I was seeing videos while it was airing, I wanted to watch, but it was nowhere. Saw that it was now on Wetv, it was my chance even after seeing some spoilers. For a short drama, this one didn’t disappoint.

I really love the romance between the leads. Plus, good chemistry, kisses (it was seriously hot, better than some normal length drama) and I love their dynamic. The costumes are also beautiful and the CGI not bad. ML is so handsome, it needs to be said ahah I was thinking this so many times while watching. Well both of them are beautiful and look good together, but ML is an eye candy.

It’s a simple and easy plot to watch. It’s not a masterpiece plot and neither have surprising big plot twist, but that not why I wanted to watch this. I just wanted a fun watch with good romance. Also, almost no conflict/problems between the leads. Only in the mortel world, but the misunderstandings were cleared in like the same episode (happened like only twice I think) So, we don’t have like many annoying eps of the leads not talking or one being mad. So no annoying moments or trope in my opinion, but maybe except the villain couple who could be considered annoying. So, no love triangle either.

Had funny and cute moments. I also liked the relationship with ML’s mother and the master.

I also like the ending. A beautiful and happy ending that fits our leads. On another note, their daughter is adorable, could have at least give her a hug, but bro wanted to kiss is wife ;) priority…. ahaha The acting was also good in my opinion, you could feel ML emotion in his eyes in their reunion at the end, that the first thing that comes to my mind right now.

I recommend this drama, I wanted more :)

Personally, not going to say names, but I liked this more than many popular normal length episodes drama. It’s so more enjoyable without the annoying tropes/things and forever long misunderstanding. So, for me who is not a fan of wuxia drama in general and only liked/finished a few (I dropped so many), this was really entertaining and enjoyable.

amazing acting and a good action movie

the acting was amazing from the ML to the child. The child actress surprised me. I love the action and fighting sequences. Be aware, a lot of blood. Man was bad ass.

It’s a lot of blood and fights, but also a lot of emotional scenes.
- Like before she was kidnapped, when she was talking the him in the alley, about her mom and other things. My eyes got teary.
- Also, when we saw the accident of his wife death, that was so heartbreaking. It was horrible when we saw the blood running out the car…. Also,
- when the doctor said her mom was dead, the villain face said everything. His eyes were expressive, I just knew he wouldn’t let the doctor cut her eyes out. ML face was also heartbreaking when he thought she was dead.
- their reunion ❤️😭😭
- the ending scene, I was cry so bad.

I absolutely love the bond between him and the child

The mom’s death and the poor kids, that was hard to watch too.

Overall I think it’s a great movie. Good acting, fighting scenes and still really emotional

I recommend this movie

Decent drama, not the best for me. Overrated

This drama was good in general and I like the gaming concept, but truly overrated. I started after many positive reviews and people saying this drama is so good and one of the best

But for me, this was slow. It took them 11 eps to actually have their first real meet face to face and after that they both acted like they didn’t know each other real identities for a few more eps. Then, the confession was in ep 20. I’m not a fan of slow burn, so for me it was to slow for my liking. I was tired of this and wanted them to finally talked, but I got a bit bored after they become a couple. I actually fast forward a lot for the last few eps, I just wanted to finish.

The second lead was bearable too, he looked a bit like a stalker always looking at them from afar, but he was mature and understanding. He looked to old for my liking, FL is in her 20s I think and he looked in is 40-50s. After his confession to FL, when she told him that she was in love with someone else, he was understanding, backed off and was happy for her, he wanted her to be happy. He wasn’t the annoying SL type who didn’t give up and still tried to pursue her when she made it clear. That the good kind of SL and one I can tolerate to watch.

I love that they both have supportive families and parents, they weren’t against their relationship at all and were good people. The first meets were funny too.

There is some annoying character sometimes, like the roommates or the assistant or Taro, Ma,…

Also, the second and third couple didn’t catch my attention, I didn’t really care about them and fast forward sometimes. I also wasn’t really touch or neither cared about Mrs. Ma story. But it was good that she got better and that her friends and Taro helped her overcome her problems. They become a couple at the end too, so again, slow burn…

To finish, the pairing for the leads wasn’t the best for me. Yes I saw their chemistry and they were a cute couple, but I didn’t like them this much together. But, I can say that their kissing scenes were really good and passionate. To be honest, in my opinion ML wasn’t really attractive or handsome. It was the first drama I saw of this actor, but not for FL. I actually like FL better with her costars in « Sunshine of my life » or « Hello I’m at your service » for exemples. I think the chemistry was better and they looked more good together. Maybe I’m biased, but I absolutely love her with the ML in « Sunshine of my life », that was her best pairing for me from the dramas I saw of her.

So, since I didn’t really enjoyed the secondary couples, a bit slow and long, boring at time and the main couple wasn’t my favorite to watch, I can’t give this drama a 10/10. But, still an enjoyable drama and easy watch with a sweet couple, friendship and funny moments. So, I would recommend, this would probably be to many people taste

Disappointing

Damn I’m so disappointed and what a waste of time. I really like it at first, but in the end it became bad. The story line of their past life was boring to me and it was many episodes.

Also the plot turn so bad and annoying. I skipped scenes and watch through TikTok towards the end.

The ending was horrible, open ending that I still don’t understand to this day. Why can’t the writers this year give us a clear happy ending or not a 1 min annoying happy ending. No happy ending for all the couple, disappointing too. Also, we were in the middle of the last episode and they were still fighting.

Also, why was the second lead in love with the female lead and he couldn’t just love her as a brother, annoying. We could have had a better storyline, romance for him and the cousin before he died.

The best part for me was the beginning before she left with the « brother » and they showed their last life.

I don’t recommend this drama.

One of my favorite cdrama

I just love this drama. The chemistry was amazing and the love story between the lead was beautiful to me. They got together a bit late but we still got sweet moments before that. I like the second couple too, they were cute. Both couples had healthy and mature relationships. I love that there was no breakups for the couples and for once I found the second leads not to much annoying. I had a feeling from the beginning that they would end up together 😉 I actually cried when she proposed to him🩷

This drama was pretty good, one of my first Chinese drama. I love both the leads and that have good chemistry. The relationship between the leads was amazing. No misunderstanding, trusting each other and working together + healthy relationship. The story was also great and kept me interested. I also think the fight scenes were not bad. I would have like to see more of the second couple.

Yes it’s was a happy ending and they will live happily together, but I was a bit disappointed that they both « abandoned » their country. Both their families, parents died and they ascended the throne, but they both just left. Maybe it’s just me but I kind of did not like that🤷‍♀️
Also he has only some years left… so it’s a happy ending for the years he has left. Not sure I like that. Feel like I read somewhere that this wasn’t in the novel

light and fun BL

I wasn’t sure at first, but this BL surprised me. I’ve already watched a few bl with offgun, so I know this pairing and their chemistry. Also it was a comedy relief when it was airing at first with the other more depressing BL airing at the same time.

I love the friendships and the relationships. Green flags/supportive boyfriends and healthy relationships. No break up also. I also enjoyed the cooking aspect.

Love grandma and samsee’s parents. Fire and Ten parents had development. Ten’s father could be an ass, but he wasn’t a bad guy. He didn’t mind that his son was gay, he didn’t want him to suffer and him being used and in the end, wanted him to be happy. The step mom was weird and annoying.

Prem’s sister and Samsee being in a relationship was a cute surprise, even if I still ship him with grey hair guy (forget his name for a sec ahah), their bickering and dynamic was hilarious. That would have made an interesting enemies to lovers, but in the end friendship, it’s okay.

I liked the comedy and not many problems or drama. Good kissing scenes from her main couple. I also absolutely love Fire and Dynamite. Their dynamic interested me from the beginning. I liked the development when Fire realized that he liked him. Also a cute relationship.

Happy end perfect ending.

Waiting for the next OffGun drama. Also, get Neo a leading role and his own BL, he deserves it. I’ve seen many BL with him as the side character or the second couple. I really like his acting.

Good chemistry, plot holes, unsatisfying ending

Positives points :
- What I love the most about this drama is the chemistry, dynamic and relationship of the leads. I continued mostly for that.
- I love the comedy and the friendship
- the cinematography is beautiful
- the second couple, they are fun to watch

Negatives points :
- the plot was promising, but in the end not that good for me and boring for some eps or moments. I actually wasn’t that hooked after the first 2 eps. But some thing still surprised me, I actually didn’t see it coming that his grandpa was a bad guy.
- Could stand ML’s brother for most of the drama. For me, he was a creep, weird guy for many eps. His comments or reactions regarding FL and mostly his liking for her made me uncomfortable and that was weird.
- the plot holes, feel like things weren’t explained or didn’t make sense
- how the time travel plot is written
- the ending is surely the part that made my rating go down a little. Didn’t like it. Waste of time, why made her stay in the past for the entire ep. It was just sad moments and uninteresting for me since she didn’t want to have a relationship with past him, she loves present ML. I found it weird people wanting her to stay in the past, have a relationship with past him. I just wanted more moments and a good ending in the present. She could have gone back sooner, like 20-30 min before than end so we can have a good and satisfying ending. We also didn’t see her reuniting with her best friend. But no, they went with the 1-2 min reunion. I’ve seen that annoying ending enough in Cdramas. First time I see an ending like this for a kdrama, expect my Dearest ending maybe. For me an ending like this seems like just wanting to dump a « HE » for the viewers. Also, the whole thing with the 2 Tae Ha and the kinda love triangle was weird. Plus, I agree with some comments that they could have made her appear in the pool and recreate the first ep.
Yeah, they added like 2 more minutes at the very end with the wedding. Cute, but still not satisfying. I would have like better to see more of them living happily for like 20 min or with kids or what happens with her career than seeing a wedding again.

Overall for the romance, it’s a good watch, so I would recommend even if I didn’t like it that much. I was expecting something better before starting.

Pretty awful drama

this drama is such a disappointment and badly written. I am so disappointed, I was waiting for this drama, expected an adult second chance romance, 2 families coming together and a pretty light funny watch. But…. it got so wrong.

- I think the leads had chemistry and I liked the little moments. It had potential, it was funny how it started and the fake relationship. But their screentime was so little in their own drama. it’s not enough scenes to develop this well and we didn’t get the families hanging out together until the last 2 min of the drama. Also just to say for the interested, this drama has no kissing scenes. Like 2 fake kisses and implied intimacy only. Not much skinship or anything
This drama should have been way more focus on the leads, seeing them become one family and giving us more time of the 6 of them bonding, spending time together and giving us a wedding at the end. Until the end, they are living as neighbors and at the very end it says that they finally got married at some point and became a family. This should have been in the plot to begin with, not a mention at the end. The drama was mostly going nowhere for many eps and it was wrapped up very fast like the plot was missing eps. Well at least happy ending….. and they was no breakup

Lily, she was okay, but I was just annoyed when she got made at her and was like « you can’t be with him or whatever », I don’t remember. When she knew she was seeing ML. She even hit her like you scolded a child. That’s weird, she a grown ass women.

- the support cast had more screentime then the leads and most of them were horrible characters and not interesting. The story was most focus on the second lead
1) Qiao Hao & Hu Xiao Jiao and others related to them :
These 2 had so much screentime….
this was the worst part of this drama.
I started skipping them at some point. So damn annoying and what an horrible man.
He was trash, a cheater, an abuser and a ra*pist! That SA plot was so unnecessary, what were they thinking by adding this. I was so confused, no one was doing anything, no police. Like it was normal and life just continued. That was unbelievable. But after reading some comments, I realized that over there, this is not seen like SA between spouse, hence nothing happened. That’s is just a shock for us international viewers it seems. It was back and forth…. At last she finally divorced him. How they romanticized their divorce, the like scene in the park, her dancing…. Who gives a damn, we don’t wanna see that!

The plot of him spending time with his daughter only because he wanted the son…

How the hell did FL continued to give the kids to him to spend time.

His mom…. Unbearable. Still not sure to understand why she was so obsessed with the grandson and literally ignoring the granddaughter. Poor girl. Watching this other trash character was hard. They kept saying she hadn’t long to live, at some point I was like, when is she finally gonna die. No satisfaction there either, just a little mention in the epilogue that she died.

His dad, he seemed like it had a little decency, but no. He knew they were wrong (regarding the son) but did nothing and helped them

Her aunt and uncle, they seemed pretty normal…. Got her back and were there for her, seems like they had a pretty good relationship/marriage, so I can see some positive point in their characters I guess. Even if I was disappointed in their reaction to the SA, but like I mentioned earlier, seems like a normal reaction from people over there.

Her mom, didn’t add anything expect taking screentime.

The kidnapping in the last ep was nonsense. Rolled my eyes I wanted to fast forward.

They went for a little redemption arc for her, apologizing to FL, she didn’t accept the apology which is good. Now she’s leaving the country, okay who cares goodbye.

Anyway to summarize, all of these characters stole way too much screentime from the leads story and were absolutely not enjoyable or interesting. The drama could have been cut in half (the run time and eps) and the story between the leads would have been the same

2) FL’s friend : Not much anything to say. her story with her ex wasn’t anything exciting and it wasn’t developed much, just got back together. but we could say her friendship with FL was good.

3) Yo Yo : I did not dislike her character. I actually appreciate the journey from her being lost, sad and all at home ? her parents way too much controlling. I think it was nice seeing her going to work at the cemetery, meeting her master, getting some closure with her sister. Her smiling and being happy. The letter from her master after his death was very sad to me. How we got to understand him more, he was there because he knew he was gonna die young, he was hanging out at his future grave and with future « companions » (the death people). I thought that was a good scene. We didn’t really get closure for her. this was the last we saw of her, so now she’s still gonna work there? she was not seen again in the last ep.

And OMG, that was so damn weird…. her master died (and he was her boss, coworker) and no one told her ?????? made no sense.

4) in laws/grand parents : I thought for a while she wasn’t so bad, but she annoyed me with her reaction to Yo Yo’s job. I was rolling my eyes, let her live her life damnit. both were so focus on appearance and not understanding her. « what will we say to others (about what she does for work) ». He was childish for most of the drama and annoying. how he was acting with the granddaughters to make them act and dislike future step mom. How he was comparing with the dead sister and acting with Yo Yo. But, we can appreciate how they still got a good relationship with their son in law after their daughter’s passing, them still being a family. We got no closure, they were never seen again at the end

I absolutely do not recommend this drama, a waste of time

I have seen better

I wasn’t planing to watched this, didn’t look interesting to me, but watched it anyway mostly because of the hype and I have an objective of watching as much as cdrama as possible in 2025😂😂

So what I liked :
- Acting was fine
- costumes looked great
- the colouring and cinematography was pretty
- maybe overused, but the ost was good
- like the intro
- great cast
- the different friendships, the bond with ML and TH and ZS
- Fu Lin and CZ : He was annoying at the beginning, classic delulu one sided love SML. She was doing very evil thing. I think the worst for me was probably when she made him kill that guy, that whole scene really. I was like, how can we go back from that. But honestly, her story in the end got me. The actress was really good and her costumes/make up was so beautiful in the later episodes. The only times I almost cried was scenes related to the seconds lead if I remember correctly… I think that was good how they made her be the bow. It was always close to FL all this time and him, falling in love with the weapon meant to kill him. I came to like this couple and their story.
- the side characters and side story we uncounter through the plot
- the best thing about this drama I would say is the romance and relationship between the leads : it developed well and it started relatively early. Pretty healthy and good relationship, which is not often seen in xianxia, I really appreciated that. Good communication, no misunderstanding or breakup. Helping, protecting each other. The proposal scene was beautiful. Just for that, I am gonna give this drama a bit more point. Skinship and kissing scenes was relatively good. They always edit kissing scene less good then are they are in reality in cdramas. Chemistry was average though
- enjoyable characters in general
- think the villain was somehow interesting

Negative point for me :
- don’t think the plot in general was that interesting and somehow boring
- the past was disappointing to me. So what was the point of Xing Yue and Jing Yuang ? Though this was about reincarnation/ falling in love again, reuniting after 60000 years, but in the end, FY is not JY, he was just a normal child that was like possessed by JY for some time, BS is also not XY ?
- didn’t really find either the flashback and XY and JY story interesting

Other random points :
- all the deaths didn’t really bother me, think it also gave some good scenes and moments and some sadness, sacrifice. But still was pretty intense killing everyone off except the leads
- ending was okay to me, the added wedding clip was cute, but just felt like to me dropping a clip, not that satisfying.
- didn’t feel that invested or emotionally attached to the leads. Some drama I can be glued to my screen or giggling because the chemistry is so good to me, or the love story of the leads is so beautiful to me, makes me emotional and feeling their story or I found the plot more engaging or there is something that just catch my intention or stand out (I have some in minds). I don’t know, something or whatever was missing to me, even with the great relationship between the leads

So, definitely not the best cdrama or xianxia I saw, but still a fine watch
