well this was kinda crazy

So, I heard about this movie and it was very hyped when it got out and because it got into the Oscar and everything. I heard about it, but I wasn’t actually watching Kdramas yet when it came out. Saw this on Netflix and decided to watch because of the past hype.

not going to lie, the beginning was kinda boring. But I think it’s pretty well written. It was interesting how they all got into the house. It actually got good when they were in the house and the family came back. I was actually stressing so bad, that’s when the story got more interesting and exciting to watch. I was shocked when the basement guy got out, hit the son and started stabbing people. It was even more crazy when he the dad stabbed the rich father. WTF though. Because of the thing about smelling bad ? like I’m sure he did smell bad, just look at him and his house. Also, he made the face and he was holding his nose when he got the keys but SERIOUSLY that man was in the basement for years. of course he must smell like shit if he hadn’t washed himself in months/years. That seemed to had triggered the dad… I was kinda sad, poor family (I’m talking about the rich family). They seemed like good people, I think they were a cute family that obviously loved each other. I loved the parents with the younger child. That scene of them on the sofa caught me off guard.

I wasn’t sad that the girl (the daughter died), I actually think the rich guy death is more sad if I think about it. The main poor family did bad things so, they kinda got what was coming for them

And the ending, bro is in the basement, crazy. It an open ending, which I usually hate… but I think this ending is interesting.

So overall, I think this was not a bad movie, some interesting twists and got excited in the second half. I think the script was well written. But, my rating got a bit down because it was boring at first and I actually feel bad for that family who got ruined because of them.

the other movie is better. okay watch

I’ve watched the other movie which there is no connection to. The other one is so much better in kind of plot and comedy for me.

I thought I would like this, amazing cast and similar vibe than the other movie : FL pirate and ML bandit. But in the end pretty average for me. The plot with the wale…. not as exciting as the treasure hunt. So I find the plot good at time and boring at other time, okay ending. I wasn’t hooked.

My man was hot though ahah that scene where is shirt is open. But as much as I love this actor, he couldn’t save this movie for me. His fighting scenes were amazing, like the first one in the rain. I think it was beautifully shot.

The cast is good…. The comedy okay, didn’t laugh a lot. The other fighting scenes with everyone are okay, but like I mentioned, the fighting scene with the ML only were better in my opinion.

Happy ending.

So if you want to watch a pirate movie, I would recommend the sequel movie more than this.

wasn’t what I expected. Overall I enjoyed this movie

it’s not a masterpiece or a mind blowing film, but in general I enjoyed this movie. I was barely on my cellphone while watching, so that already a good point. The casting and acting is good. The actions/fighting scenes were also good, I didn’t expect this much blood and everything. It also not what I imagined before stating with the experience on human and the people become  « monsters ». That was a surprise, I don’t know why I was just expected a girl kidnapped and not monster people ahah

The plot is okay, we already know from their first appearance that they are bad guys and that they would killed the older people. It was kinda predictable plot, don’t expect big plot twist. However, his daughter in the jar, that surprised me. Also at first when we realized that they weren’t dying maybe…. Anyway

Good ending though : bad people dead, happy ending, all our leads alive and happy. But I would have like to see the woman too with them at the end

The guy character with ML is really handsome, I was like I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere. I was right ahah he’s the guy in the upcoming drama The impossible heir… See you soon

a fun watch

it’s my second time watching this movie, I really like it. Saw that on Netflix while searching for something to watch and I remembered seeing this and I liked it, so I watched again.

It has good actors and characters. I watched it maybe 2 years ago, i haven’t watched that many Kdramas back then and didn’t know many actors but now it was interesting to recognize the actors. I think the fighting scenes and cinematography are good. I like the plot and the music too.

I think it’s a pretty entertaining and a fun watch, I laugh a lot and I love the crew. The side romance is cute too + a good ending.

The scene that kills me the most is definitely when that guy finds the gold, the penguin slaps him, he slaps him back and the penguin slaps him again. I don’t know if I was just tired and laughing at anything tonight, but I laugh so hard at this scene and I watched it 3 times.

I’m a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and feel like there isn’t a lot of pirates movies, so I definitely enjoyed this. Just saw that there is a prequel and it’s on Viki so I can watch too. It’s not related, but doesn’t matter. It has Kim Nam Gil, so I definitely have to watch it.

I recommend this movie

okay drama, but many boring eps or moment. Dragging later on

for me, there were good episodes that I liked and other that were more boring or dragging. In general, I think the plot had potential.

What I liked :
- the cinematography
- the love story. I love past lovers/past story, people how are meant to be, falling in love again, etc. I’ve seen mixte opinions, but personally I think they had chemistry and they looked good together. The kisses were also good and I enjoyed their journey. I think it a decent romance
- the side characters and the friendship. Lee Yeon and Gu Shin Joo, Lee Rang and Yoo Ri, Lee Rand and the kids, etc….

****I have a point to say : after reading some comments, I don’t get this at all and what the hell people saw when they said Lee Rang and Yoo Ri had better chemistry than the leads or should’ve ended together. like what… there was obviously nothing romantic between them. He saved her, he was like her saviour. They became friends, family. That how I saw it, didn’t saw them or imagined that they should be a couple. I loved their friendship. Yoo Ri and Shin Joo were cute, had romantic chemistry and had feelings for each other. I liked this pairing and I’m happy they got their happy ending.

- the brothers. I enjoyed the development in their relationship and I was always looking forward to their scenes. Lee Rang was annoying me at first, but I loved his character in the end.
- happy ending for the main couple and I love the little family with Yoo Ri + Shin Joo and the kid. I was spoiled for many thing, but didn’t expect to see Lee Rang reincarnated at the end as a kid.
- I enjoyed the last ep. I cried a lot. I think it was a decent ending, we got closer and moment from everyone. Lee Rang death was sad, he loved his brother so much💔💔 but at the same time he would probably had die soon since his time was near (it was mention that with him being a half for, he would die soon). but still, he was finally happy and had reason to live.
- I actually liked the leads. Lee Dong Wook is so handsome in this drama, for sure his best look. I liked FL too. I truly don’t understand the hate. I think she did good and her character wasn’t annoying. She doesn’t seems like a bad actress at all for me.
- the granny and her husband were funny and enjoyable most of the time
- glad she found her parents
- no pointless love triangle

Now the negative points :
- more boring than entertaining maybe…
- the villain wasn’t really interesting
- the plot could have been better.
- in the end when ML came back to life, I was waiting for him to ask about his brother or something.

Now let’s watch season 2

not the best, but not the worst

This was okay, I fast forward sometimes.

I love the chemistry and the tension, the gay panic too. The leads were good and a good pairing. But what was with the kissing scenes? I think the best one was the first one and it was okay. Such weird angles, if they don’t want to show the kiss or the actors doesn’t want to kiss, than don’t add it. It is just weird to watch. I found that weird since it didn’t really seems like fish kiss either.

I hate misunderstanding trope and I didn’t appreciate the story that much, also as always to short and we don’t see a lot of things with the relationship. I got tired of Korean BL, because now it annoys me how short it is… I only got a few ones I really love and I don’t really watch Korean BL anymore, but I felt like watch one tonight.

Also, forget his name, but the guy who left, was kinda an ass, took him so long to explain. Fell bad for the other guy.
The friend in love with one of the leads was handsome and kind. Glad he didn’t confess or anything, finally someone with a brain and understood. Not the annoying type second lead. But like why at the very end, they kinda introduce a love interest for him. They don’t even show his face??? the fuck. and like not that necessary, because we want more and we will never get it…

Anyway, that was an okay watch, but won’t watch again.

better than I thought after reading the bad reviews

I read both positive and negative reviews and I wasn’t sure to start, but I don’t regret it. In general I think it was good and a cute romcom, it has flaws but I still enjoyed it.

The good points :
- I liked the leads. I think they are good chemistry and I love their dynamic. He for sure started to like her even before she started to lose weight. Good kissing scene.
- I liked the friendship and the bromance
- I found it funny and entertaining most of the time
- I think the general plot was okay, I wasn’t bothered by the fat comments or the plot about her being « fat » (maybe overweight, it wasn’t actually bad » and blah blah blah. I was expecting something bad with the comments or reviews. It wasn’t that deep for me and she was the one who wanted to lose weight.
- the music became good
- I like that there is not really annoying and unnecessary love triangle or second lead. Or even annoying characters in general or annoying plot and drama. Much appreciated, in recent dramas that’s often annoy me a lot. After FL breaks up at the very beginning of the drama with SML, her ex like the SFL and we have the relationship between the leads. Yeah there is some scenes with FL and SML, but there is no love left and I wasn’t annoyed by it. I understood that, they were in a relationship for 15 years… It was in the firsts eps and very few scenes. There was no annoying side characters with unrequited love in the drama.
- Happy ending, I found the airport scene funny too
- there is no break up. just ML who leaves for like a year after his accident to get better, physical therapy, etc. but that didn’t last more than 1 ep
- I liked secretary Min

Now some minus points :
- that second couple wasn’t it. The cheating ex and the coworker/friend from school. That’s not a couple I was interested in, they got their happy ending, good for them... It became better to watch later on, but still. At some point I actually felt bad for her though.
- The dimples kiss was cute at first, but after a while, enough
- the guy talking in English, that was annoying at some point
- the third couple, I actually think they are cute. the girl was kinda a stalker at first though. But there are so few scenes of them that I felt like their relationship time line didn’t make sense. Seems like they are a couple in the last ep or her with his mom, feel like we missed a few chapters. I would have like to see more of them and the development of their relationship than that second couple.
- ML that didn’t talk for FL for the year he was gone
- mL’s father, he got some redemption at the end…
- became a bit boring later on, I was on my cellphone sometimes
- too many flashbacks

So, I would recommend. I think it’s an easy to watch and fun drama without trash problems or many annoying things.

Pretty good movie with a happy ending

I think the plot was good and the acting too. It didn’t feel this long and the ending was good, I wasn’t expecting a happy ending.

Damn, the love that sergent has for his wife, that was pretty intense him injecting himself with the virus. I was relieved he lived.

It was heartbreaking when they decided not to land and to die to not infect their families and the population. That was moving. I was tearing up when we saw the passenger saying goodbye to their families and the speech.

It was infuriating to see that company who didn’t want to get involved and talk when the virus came from their facility and they had the antivirus.

Loved it more than expected

At first I found it a bit boring, but I got invested. The plot and story was intriguing me as the episodes came. I also think it was a unique kind of drama, I love the plot in general, the desert setting and everything, the 2 worlds. Never watched a drama like that.

I also really loved the romance, it was present more than expected. The leads have amazing chemistry, good kissing scenes and they are literally perfect for each other. No break up and I love their relationship. I also like the second couples, even if we didn’t see a lot of them.

I like the plot twist and the ending was good, a happy ending always make me happy. Even if some deserved a better ending 😭 and was a bit short, but okay

I love the reunion of the leads in the last ep, you can feel the emotions, the way they hug and kiss was perfect. That’s a good reunion in a drama

Good drama

The acting is really good in this drama and the couples have great chemistry. I was invested in the second couple, we didn’t get enough of them in the second part for me. The son was adorable and I love the friendship too.

It was interesting and funny that after the time jump, it’s like the personality of the two couples shifted. I loved the second male lead personality after 6 years and his interactions with the second female lead are so funny. The height difference is everything too, man is so tall ahah.

It made me emotional in ep 34 when she called the step mom « mom » and said thank you, and she hugged her family.

It was refreshing after some school dramas relationship. I loved the mature relationship and the understanding.

Yes there were breakups, a bit annoying, but we got to see them together for many episodes and the breakup wasn’t to much long for the main couple. For me, the second couple got together again so late, like ep 34/35.

The male lead was a green flag and he was very understanding, didn’t got mad or yell at her. It was funny to me how he cleans and the FL with her snacks.

Also, the ending was really good, we got closure for everyone, even the side caracters. That what we call a perfect ending.

The most annoying second leads ever ahah but this drama was pretty good to me

I found this drama funny and entertaining. I also like the love story between the leads and they had a good relationship. They fought for it and did not break up even with all the obstacles and annoying people. It also have a good happy ending.

The second leads were so annoying and crazy that I almost stop watching. Both of them were told many times that they don’t love them and that they would never be together, but they weren’t taking no for an answer and they tried to force the leads to marry them. That was aggravating and so annoying, they were the worst.
I only continue when I found out that the leads were staying strong against them and they weren’t breaking up.

At first I thought it was a cute romcom, but there was in facts many problems and obstacles.

Such a cute and beautiful drama

One of my favorite romance drama. I love both couple so much and they had cute, healthy and mature relationships. The main couple was so cute, I love their height difference and they were sweet. They were understanding and helping each other too. From childhood crush to lovers.

The story of the second couple was really good too, like an ennemies to lovers and they were perfect for each other. I loved watching their story.

I love that in this drama there was no love triangle (there was second leads, but it was one sided love, they weren’t annoying and trying to get the leads. They backed up fast and did not force anything), also no break up and a beautiful happy ending for everyone.
I also loved that their families (all 4 main leads) were kind, loving, friendly and accepted the relationships. They loved their in laws ahah and no annoying parents against the relationship. They were happy for them and even encouraged them.

The ending was perfect too.

Undeniable chemistry

I enjoyed this, I was annoyed at time because of some side characters

Plawan was a bit annoying at first, but not that much to me.

For 8 eps, the flow of the plot was okay and the ending didn’t feel rushed. I didn’t dislike the cooking aspect of the show either

The best thing about this is definitely for me the chemistry between chef and Plawan. And seriously, one of the best kisses I have seen in a BL and we get quite a lot kiss and NC scenes. It was really fire. I loved their bickering and interactions. The breakup was needed and in the end all chef needed was an apology. I liked that.
I still find it funny how chef needed to get some, one last time ahah, before telling Plawan he knew about him working for Meta and leaving

The girl (chef ex) was really annoying and I’m still annoyed it take quite long for chef to set boundaries. Kleen got on my nerves too… but in the end everything got sorted out

For the second couple, I think they were interesting at first and the tension was good. but in the end, didn’t much like them that much. I don’t like how Meeta character became (and this thing with money was annoying), so clingy and everything, I don’t know. And it was pretty slow

Another point, I had some good laughs

So, I recommend, it pretty short, good chemistry and entertaining

Had potential, but the second lead ruined it for me

I absolutely loved the leads, their chemistry and their bickering. I was laughing a lot and smiling while watching, could have been in my top 10. I was also invested in the 2 side couples and I wanted to see the leads dating era so bad.

But please, this drama has one of these insufferable and annoying second lead. The fact that it’s part of the main plot and that he is almost there from beginning to end, I just can’t stand this. I’m so disappointed, I was loving this drama. When FL started to work at ML’s place and living there with him : when he showed up at his appartement and said that he would live there too with them, I was done with this drama. He was such a leach, always going to her family’s house, getting into her business. She never had any romantic feelings towards him, bro was too delusional to accept it and back off. She was obviously liking ML, he knew that. That guy was also such an unprofessional and bad therapist in my opinion. My hate for love triangle is high these days ahah sometimes it makes me drop dramas

I also think there is a breakup and a time jump, kinda annoying. From what I saw they get back together almost at the end of the drama. I don’t like break up for stupid thing.

I don’t know if I will finish it someday, maybe I will and fast forward.

not sure yet, will update. Has potential but...

just watched 8 eps, not bad, but not the best. Can be boring at time but I’ll continue for now. Sometimes I wasn’t paying attention and I’m a bit lost with the characters ahah I’m confused, so many consorts, queen, etc mention.

I just know the second couple is going to be my favorite thing about this drama. Little marquis is so handsome and I’m surprised how all the leads are just attractive in this drama. I love the ML too. But… for me there is too many scenes between FL and SML, I want more moments between FL and ML. I know there is still 32 eps left, but I want more romance. I actually skip moments between FL and SML or just SML scenes. Couldn’t care less about SML and he’s obviously going to be a bad guy. He’s pretty, that the only thing he has for me. I hate love triangle, but it’s not really annoying for now, but it will be for later on. I have a feeling that FL will become annoying and do stupid things later on because of SML, she will for sure trust him blindly🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️these type of FL are just annoying and stupid, don’t trust or believe her man but yet she does with the SL. She met him once when they were kids and she will just trust him… makes no sense. FL characters are often infuriating in some dramas I try to watch. I dropped a few dramas because of the FL character. Wondering what really happened to his mother… there will be more to it, but I was like are you really mad at him and blaming him (ML) for your mother death because he maybe knocked out a candle when he was a child ?

Now finished ep 16. Finally, more scenes between the leads in the last eps. The princess is annoying as hell, FL’s friend who is being a bitch after a misunderstanding because of her brother… the second couple is cute and flirtatious, love their chemistry. Not much romance between the leads yet. Love their dynamic though. FL’s younger brother is adorable, needed to be mention ahah And interesting, the emperor doesn’t seems like trash and not a bad ruler and with some intelligence. Well well SML…. What is wrong with this guy. Obsessed with FL in progress (not much for now, but it will come) and his revenge that doesn’t seem to make sense to me. He wants to know what happened to his mother, but he’s doing bad things, killing people, betrayal, manipulation…. Yeah that’s for sure the way to go. just annoying and stupid. And his brother seems pretty kind to him. This character is not well written in my opinion. Can’t wait for him to die🤷‍♀️And I remember seeing a clip, isn't she alive after all ?

After reading some comments and reviews, I’m starting to regret starting this because of how it will turn out. Started because of clips of the second couple and the happy ending, but feel like it will become annoying and draggy soon.
