Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Wang Juan the screenwriter said it is a continuation from the last scene and asked fans not to be too worried if he did survive or not
When does this get good? Halfway into ep 1 and I'm not feeling it at all.
After 2 yrs of it airing, I was in a drama drought and decided to click on it. I have resisted many times(just because everyone and anyone said it was the best drama usually I avoid it like it’s the plague, lol) I was like you, not feeling it and tried to watch episode 1, twice. For me after I passed episode 2, it is outstanding. The story, the dialogue, the actors just 😘. The only thing I didn’t like was the colour grading( it’s my thing), too dull and some of their costumes. Hope I somewhat convince you to give it a chance. Happy deciding and good luck
I agree with you. I, too have read the novel a long time ago and even reread it a few times because Tong Hua gives so much detail and depth to a sentence. Dramajumma’s comments is based on what she watched, not what is in the novel. Because the drama does not convey Jing’s thoughts and actions that was in the novel. There is where the misunderstanding of his character comes from. Someone in the previous thread said it, Jing’s action is very god-like.
@DramaAjumma, you will definitely feel that Jing does not deserve XY if the next season the drama follows the novel. Lol Season 2 will favor CX and XL;)
For the main leads, I think it can be satisfying (Ik it’s vague). The wife joined the son abroad while he stayed behind. She heard his voice at a cafe and had a lovely conversation. Only unsatisfactory was I wished they had more of interaction of the 3 brothers and Lee Ji Ahn.
