So the mother threatened her with some entanglement between her father and the mother’s brother. We dont know what happened and it has not been revealed. The dad is still unaccounted for at the current timeline.( one of the reason why she came back is to look for the dad)

My gut reaction after watching 4 episodes… I wanna reach through the screen and punch the insufferable mother. I think I will continue because I want to know the story about little mountainside girl, Qu Zhen. Seems like it’s going to be a setup with Lele and her since they will be going to the same center.

Ok now I understand the criticism of the mother. When she show up on screen I am reminded of Princess Pingning (Story of minglan) and how toxic and unlikable of a mother she was. I’m sure she is nice in reality but the characters she played are really off putting. Though I liked the lead actors this isnot a good start lol

Was about to start watching until I saw the characters diagram and read the comments. 🤦🏻‍♀️ “20 years of companionship”, “my ideal daughter-in-law”, terrible mother, long lost son, love triangle, unresolved issues…Didn’t watch the trailer but I’m curious and will try an episode to see, lol

After watching Zhu Zhu in ‘Why is he still single?’, I am eager to watch her CP with Chung Hon Leung. Those dimples and her eyes. It conveys so many emotions
And it will be based in Shanghai, like her current finished airing drama.

At the beginning of ep 14, he called that man “idiot”. I can’t with Yu 老师!! 😭. I am surely going to miss a “one of a kind” character in cdramaland.

Episode 13 is mostly transitional phase. It focused on Xiao Wu and Lin Sa, not much on the annoying Yu Yu.Hope Lin San makes the correct choice for herself and not external influence. But I don’t want the team to break up.T__T
Really, Yu Yu stop harping on how “big” her face is. You still took the time to take the pictures and personally developed it. I know you’re into her…🤭🤣

Agree with you on the dialogue because Yu Yu’s character is overbearing and self-righteous but the screenwriter knows how to balance it without being cringeworthy. Cdramas don’t usually write for mature audiences with respect and reasonable expectation. This is a good one.

Episode 10 just shows how he craves interactions. He likes to be alone but is lonesome. So having Dao 哥 does something to his psyche. I am happy it clear up the misunderstanding with Dao 哥. Awwww, He knows it’s preference. No black pepper sauce~I’m slightly offended 😂
