Ok episode 2 is definitely better than 1. If this is a remake then they did keep the essence of it but made some changes based on current time and suit to Chinese audiences.
They did tone down the characters of sfls, changed the guys ages and job, fl’s job and how they met was also changed. Not that impressed yet but don’t turn it melo at the end.
When you said “lack cultural resources” did you mean the tattoos or something else? Just curious
Thanks for your response. I have so many thoughts and I googled Hoichi(never heard of it but interesting). Seem like Korea likes to incorporate Japanese folklore in their stories. Same with the wailing. People on the internet have issue with Bong Gil’s tattoos and to me it is gibberish.
Yes .. i mean i loved first half of Something in the Rain but second half was awful 😭😭 Stand by your man…
Agree on what you said about SITR. I watched because I like the leads and the director (like his way of directing) but the characters are not very likable. I didn’t watch One Spring Night, imo, she is not an interesting but rather bland actress. Hopefully, the director and screenwriter will make a great story telling with amazing cinematography
Started watching this daily and is up to episode 11. Baek Sung Hyun has better chemistry with this FL than his more recent daily. The FL is the normal perfectionist protagonist with childhood baggage. SFL is the typical “woe is me”antagonist shriller. This daily will have the usual crying, lots of birth secrets, deceit, regrets, redemptive arcs, etc. It will be an amusing and exasperating 25ish minutes daily drama to consume.
Hahahaha…episode 4 is ridiculously over the top. The tea egg misunderstanding , the greasy vampire, the ML leading the sml away, the bouquet, the bish Elly, etc. Remind me of the early 2010s when Taiwan does this kind of silly rom-com with a hint of family life. Only and a big only deterrent is the bgm. And you get 2 episodes a week! Give it a watch!

Always enjoyed Jung Ryeo Won’s acting and can’t wait to see her pair up with Wi Ha Joon
