Hahaha I like your take on this. You understand that this drama is for the Chinese audiences. There are so many “violence” comments about the mom or not enough romance. This drama was promoted as a family healing drama between a daughter and mom. They just added Xu Kai asML.

My mom was watching it and didn’t even complain about the mom’s character 🤷🏻‍♀️. I am enjoying this story!

I agree. Coming from an Eastern background, i have seen a lot worse parents like her irl.. This is mild but the drama exaggerated her dramatic character. That is why a lot of people from the western hemisphere disliked her.

Botticelli hotel is under the Yueda group which Zhang Pei Sheng/ YZM works for. ZPS recruit YZM to come back from abroad to help her secure the President position and oust Dennis. Grandma own Xinganli, a hotel she always go to dine at. If YZM gets the management rights to GM’s hotel, he can add it under the Yueda and gets credit from headquarters and get a huge promotion. He is trying to convince GM to give it to him but GM seems partial to MCH in terms of the inheritance. As of episode 10, Dennis is suspended and transferred back to Switzerland.
