What a way to make final eps. I had the same complaints in Journey to Love, why the dramas just crash when it approached finale, till ep 35 what a fine drama. This came so close to 10 for me, but then it crashed. Not that bad, but still man I am so disappointed.
When KD said he wanted to retire, the king wanted to verify whether he was saying the truth. He asked this question to see if he was hiding anything. When he knew about father's death, ig he knew who killed him but obv he won't remove marquis and cao for it. I personally believed he is behind the masked man, but ig that's not the case
I feel it was so short, but such a fun time watching the drama. It was enjoyable for me to look 2 eps and discuss theories. This Drama made XZ more dependable actor, for him there is no turning back, Ik he will explore more and more different genres
I love how after watching so much dramas, we become detectives. I knew masked man was the Shi guy, i thought somehow he was working for emperor. Ig we went overboard with that. The speculation started when random times he was zoomed in, felt he had more to his character

Because he didn’t know KIT was contacting them, the moment he understood. He know anyways they will know the whole truth. Instead of getting caught, he is manipulating into making them do the same things
1. ZH have hidden the real one or we can see there are 2 seals, we dk which was real. I think entry of dongixa queen wasn’t in his plan. This will make Zao the masked man and Prince tge third person 2. If not then emperor is the masked man and he placed a fake one so ZH could lure the enemies out and he can find the bronze fish :)

Yep he is a cockroach, so old but survives everything. Talk about his will to live. Ig as you said he has some last purpose in drama. Mostly he will pass away in next 2 eps

If he helps Night and Day he will be safe, they are the living proof for crime he committed, but if they do the same way as him, they would not cause him trouble :)
