I’m not as familiar with Chinese dramas as with Korean dramas ..l heard that most of the times in xianxia dramas they make the FL less strong / intelligent than in the novels, which is a shame. I heard FL is very strong / badass in the Legend of Anle novel , so hopefully they won’t make her less strong / badass in the drama. Can anyone recommend a xianxia/historical romance drama with a truly strong / badass FL who is strong both mentally and physically… no damsel in distress, and plus she’s intelligent… and not childish.

Is the ML a walking red flag like in many older kdramas such as Secret Garden, Boys over Flowers etc ? I mean, is he very verbally abusive towards FL or something like that? Strong Woman Do Bong Soon , the couple look freakin adorable and fluffy together , but i decided not to watch it because FL supposedly doesn’t seem that much in love with the ML (you are definitely not the only one who thinks that…) Here’s hoping the FL in the ongoing romcom King The Land (also boss/employer romance ) will seem to be deeply in love with ML…

A lot of people seem to dislike ep 1 or 2, (for me ep 1) 😅 but it gets better in later episodes tho. but only…
Thank you so much ! :) I will give it a chance then… I don’t really mind cliche silly romcoms as long as the chemistry between the leads is good, etc. I mean, I have watched kdramas since 2007 when a looot kdramas back then were about rich arrogant, rude CEO and poor, hardworking kindhearted girl lol ..so if I see this in newer kdramas it gives me nostalgia (in a good way!)
While I did not dislike the first 2 episodes I was not hooked. Does it get any better ? A lot seem to enjoy ep 5… before it was a lot of mixed opinions about this drama
