When I watched LBC I thought it was soooo good, like I'd gave it 9 out of 10 in ratings. But now when I think about it, it wasn't THAT great... not much of a plot lol. AePete and TinCan are nice couples, but as for Kengkla/Techno and Tum/Tar, just... no. I'm very sad about Saint not being in LBC season 2, his character Pete was so precious and despite a lot of ppl preferring TinCan over AePete, for me AePere are my favorite couple of this show. But I will still watch LBC season 2, for TinCan only. I'd now rate LBC 7.5/10.
If my own mother was that fucking annoying, I would bitch slap her to the moon and cut all ties with her completely…
great to know there are asians that has backbone and are no push overs when it comes to the parents :) I'm not saying it's a rarity for asians to go along with everything parents says even if it goes against their will (I have no idea how common / uncommon it is to 'disobey" parents in asia), just that it seems a lot more uncommon in asia than in west to disobey parents, so its always pleasant to read stories where asians goes against parents IF the parents are being so unreasonable! (If the parents has reasonable reasons for going against smth, then thats another matter tho).
This is the upcoming drama I am looking forward to the MOST! I (like so many others) have been waiting for The Wolf to air for over 1 year already!! Idk what they are waiting for ?? Why not just air it already damn it!!
I haven't yet gotten around to watch The Untamed so I'm not familiar with Sean Xiao , I don't think I will get second lead syndrome... besides, Darren Wang looks HOT AF in here *drools*
At first I was dissapointed with the plot, I wanted a romcom or a simply pure love story between 2 nice people. But now I have warmed up to this plot and really look forward to it :) The push and pull kind of relationship between the 2 leads (like Tom and Jerry) will for sure be very interesting!! Couples with this kind of dynamics usually end up making out/ end up in bed together after all the push and pull (cuz the push and pull will add so much more excitement to their marriage , and full of passion will will come!)
Lol the plot is so different from the other Fated to Love You versions, so in my opinion this "version" doesn't deserve to be called a remake. But this one can still be a very good drama, just that I don't consider it a remake. :)

If there will be a korean remake I hope there will be just as much (great) skinship between the OTP as in the taiwanese version... with just as passionate kisses and I hope they also include the bed scene! Korean dramas seems more conservative than taiwanese dramas when it comes to intimacy...

if they did a korean remake that would be so awesome! It would have bigger budget and the cinematography would be much better/ have higher quality, it would be watched in full HD! :) MARS (this taiwanese version) is one of my all time favorite dramas, but it does look very outdated and it sucks that it can't be watched in full HD... so a korean remake would be great! I just hope that if there ever will be a korean version that there would have the same intensiveness as the original, with just as deep complex storyline/characters.. and that the korean version doesn't cutt out any important stuff / doesn't censor things. MARS is pretty dark with sensitive subjects, so I'm afraid the korean version wouldn't have the guts to go all way ... BUT if the korean version did an great/ faithful adaptations then it would be a masterpiece!
The taiwanese version is perfect in my opinion in terms of storyline and characters, so it's impossible in that sense to make a better version (just my opinion) but the korean version can definitely be EQUALLY as good when it comes to that. However, in terms of quality/cinematography, the korean version would be much better and it would look much more high budget :) So nice it would be to watch it in full HD! I'm very curious how the korean version would be, korean culture is a bit different from taiwanese culture, so the korean version would have to do some small changes (but hopefully nothing too drastic, it still would have to stay faithful to the original), with adding some korean flavour to their version, it would be interesting to watch since their version would be more korean style, so it won't be exaxtly like the taiwanese version and I think that's a good thing. :)
I haven't even bothered watching the japanese version, from the clips I seen I was not really impressed xD

One of the main reasons I was about to watch this drama was because I thought the FL would be strong and such... but seems like not :/ I'm glad I came across your comment or else I would have given this drama a try. I hate how so many historical dramas makes female leads so weak and naive despite the character they play are based on real life people who were actually strong, cunning etc...

Seems like many had second lead syndrome while watching this and I heard it's even a sad ending for the SML. So I guess I might have second lead syndrome as well when I watch this and cry for the SML :/ But neverthless I'll still watch this drama because I heard how strong and smart the FL is! That's the MAIN reason I want to watch Story of Yanxi Palace, not for the romance.
I haven't watched this since it's still not yet on netflix in my country (but will be soon I guess). For you who watched this, how is it so far? Good, average, bad...? Is the chemistry between the leads any good?? I really hope so, because it's no fun watching a drama where its main genre is romance if there is no chemistry between the OTP...
